History

Established in 1998.

Tom Schneider started working for a mason at 19 years old. After 14 years learning the details of bricklaying, brick paving, and retaining walls; Tom struck out on his own. In February of 1998 he started Custom Patios, Inc.

Business Owner

Tom Schneider grew up on his family’s ranch in the Wet Mountain Valley near Westcliffe, CO. As number 9 of 11 children in his family, Tom looked forward to moving to the city to learn a new trade soon after graduation. He found a labor position to a bricklayer and learned everything he could about the masonry trade over the next 14 years. As a rancher’s son, Tom has a knack for problem solving and a wagon load of common sense. For that reason, young Tom spent half of those 14 years as the Project Manager for that company.

Then in 1998, Tom started Custom Patios, Inc. with the commitment to provide top quality craftsmanship & design in the construction of brick paver projects. Tom is on the job site every day of construction to personally guarantee that our customers get the highest quality workmanship for their investment.
