It’s unfortunate really. His is the only practice doing biomemetic dentistry in Denver and they are taking advantage of that. But it’s the patients/​customers who are getting the short end. Long waits in the waiting room (due to being short staffed… or so I was told… but not my problem), cancelled appointments (10 minutes before my drive there… a sick hygienist… are there no others to call on?), $ 900+ fees for first time patients. And to top it all off, being told that Dr Augspurger cannot be cc’d on an email, with my records, so I can correspond with him directly, without his permission and being told (by his front office person) that she can’t promise he will call me either (I wanted to let him know what my experience had been and why I won’t be going back). It’s a shame.

Dr. John knows more about the body and dentistry than anyone that I know and I trust him completely with my dental health.
This week he repaired two chipped teeth. The procedure was comfortable and of the highest quality. You can’t tell where the repair was.
As a biological dentist, he uses no metal fillings. Because of his dedication to continuing education, has a wide range of unique treatments to solve complex dental problems.
He takes the time required to fix things right the first time, not the time scheduled for the appointment. Sometimes this means he runs late in the afternoon. But I’d rather get it done right than compromised.
I won’t go anywhere else. Thank you Dr. John.

I’ve been putting off going to the dentist for about 3 years now. That’s due to a combination of being broke and having had enough bad dentist experiences that I would willingly choose to listen to hours of Gilbert Gottfried talking over chalkboard screeching instead of trying another new dentist. I finally gave in once a decaying tooth chipped.
The reason for Dr. Augspurger was because he had been recommended to me; a valuable recommendation since he’s one of the few people in the Denver area that works in the realm of biological dentistry. Luckily, the name kinda gives that away. It’s a field that I’ve been learning more about now, after years of bad advice. I’m a huge believer in the mentality that the health of your teeth should be taken into consideration above putting mercury-​filled bandaids on situations.
My experience at Bio Dentist was great. Dr. Augspurger and the staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. The office has a very relaxed feel and neither of the times I was there did I feel like a patient in an assembly line nor that I was an inconvenience to them merely for being there. Despite a full schedule, they were able to get both my initial appointment and the follow-​up for the actual work within two weeks of me calling the office. What struck me as notable was the lack of scare-​tactics they seem to use (one put-​offs about dentist visits). They seemed to be very up front about the state of my teeth and were willing to talk with me about the opinions going forward.
Now, my one issue. It isn’t the cheapest place you’ll find. Out of all my many fillings and refillings I can say that this place isn’t the lowest cost. Regardless, I think it was worth it, and this is coming from someone who almost certainly makes less than money than you do. Trust me on that one.
My fillings are less than a week old, and the initial work looks and feels great. I’m anxious to see how this pans out over time, but at this point in time I’m perfectly comfortable recommending Bio Dentist to others.

He is a biological dentist and very talented.
His schedule is maxed. He tries to do too much and leaves you feeling rushed if not neglected. He likes to work to his plan, with little to no consultation with you on what is happening. I especially was not thrilled with his use of resin materials with a very limited lifespan (which I found out after the fact).
If you want skill at the sacrifice of bed-​side manner, he’s the dentist for you.
