Jake did an amazing job repainting my family room. His prices are reasonable as well as great customer service very polite and perfessional. Great company, I will definitely refer family and friends.

What a nightmare!
Jake was able to come do an estimate before any other company could so we put our trust in the other Unilocal reviews and hired him. His quote seemed reasonable and all we asked for was the trim to be sanded and re-​painted (excluding the insides of the closets).
Right off the bat things started to go badly. First, he showed up late on the first day with no call. When he did show up and started to prep he tells me that the paint he brought and quoted us for is a different color than what is currently on the trim and sills of our house. Well, great, so I tell him to just go ahead and paint it the color you brought since we’ll likely be re-​painting the sills one day too.
After about two days of painting we come home from work and Jake tells us that he ran out of the original paint he started with and began using one of OUR paints. And yes, it will look different. He tells us this after the fact that he’s already painted with it.
*Cue frustration.
When he finished painting I discovered that the bathroom trim had not been painted?! When Jake was contacted he told us that his quote did not include the bathrooms. WHAT?! We told him we wanted the whole house painted excluding the closets. He did return to paint the bathroom. And painted it with a THIRD shade of white and left caulking and skid marks all over the bathroom floor.
I would avoid this one-​man company at all costs.

Jake painted the interior of my new house. He paid great attention to detail and, when what I wanted painted changed from the original bid, he was more than fair in how we handled the change in the bid. I will definitely be calling him for future projects. Trustworthy, fair and high quality. You can’t beat that!

Called to get an estimate over a week ago and I haven’t heard back. I guess business is so good they don’t need any more.

We moved to Colorado just about a year ago from Austin, TX and were renting in Broomfield, but finally bought a place in Boulder.
Our place needed some new paint and upgrading, and not really knowing anyone, we checked out Unilocal for someone to come and paint our new place. Jacob was the first person we called. He told us he was available that same day to give us a quote, which was great. We ended up hiring him to paint all the walls in our new house, and do a few other odd jobs here and there. We are so happy we did! Our place looks amazing. Jacob offered us a fair price, and from the start was extremely polite and proffesional. We were so happy with the way our paint job turned out, that we’ve actually hired him a few times since to come and do a couple of other things (like sand and stain our front door). His work never disappoints.
If you’re looking for someone who you can trust in your home, that offers a good deal and most importantly that does a great job… call him!
