Optical Masters

This isn’t something I would commonly do, however, I feel that an owner or manager must know of my experience.
I happened to stumble upon your store when I was in need of an adjustment on my glasses, they have been sliding down my nose and it was just time. I walked into the store, which seemed to be full of employees, but only one person greeted me. There was a lady with an accent who was already with a customer, but she took the time to welcome me in… the only one who took the time. I sat and waited my turn thinking maybe there were tasks being completed that I didn’t see as an outsider to the business. After a while, and no one inquiring of my purpose for being there, I figured I would wander around the store and see if anything caught my interest as I waited for the only person who was apparently capable of assisting me. There was a discrepancy over pricing with her current customer. The manager (I’m assuming) came out to «explain». This blonde woman came out in a huff, then continued to be curt with the customer, without any professionalism or understanding. After her obvious frustration during the conversation with these customers, she walked away, shooting a glance over to a woman with long brown hair. This glance, dripping with obvious condescension. All the while I am observing, like a fly on the wall. I can’t imagine I am the only customer that has noticed this unacceptable behavior from the employees, and wonder how many others have experienced this uncomfortable environment.
So, needless to say, I left, without fulfilling my purpose.
However, I will return. Why? Because I want to work with the lady that took the time to greet me. I may even purchase from her.
I have worked in retail for most of my working career and know the importance of employee/​customer rapport, building customer loyalty over time. I want to know that when I purchase eye wear, regardless of cost, that I will be treated with respect and professionalism.

Excellent service with very little wait time for my exam. Dr. Green was pleasant and actually made getting a contact lens eye exam fun. Kudos to Kim who is a glasses genius and found the perfect frames for my face shape almost immediately. I was also impressed by their selection of frames.

Don’t go here! Total waste of time and money. First, Groupon deal is SCAM. Please do not buy unless you’re willing to fork over at least $ 100 more than the price you already paid for the groupon. Second, very off-​putting environment and atrocious customer service. Scary lady at the counter obviously hates life and takes it out on poor unsuspecting customers. ⁰⁄₁₀ Do not recommend.

I saw a Groupon for Optical Masters so I called, mentioned the groupon which they explained to me and told me to wait until I had my exam to purchase the groupon. I made an appt for an eyeglass & contact lense exam. At my appt, I saw Dr Frank. She was the most unfriendly individual, much less professional than I would have expected. Not once did she smile during my time with her. She actually seemed pre-​occupied and annoyed. I felt rushed. I chalked it up to her having a bad day. I continued with choosing frames and ordering contact lenses. During my time with the salesperson, I reminded her that I wanted to purchase the grouoon and use it toward my purchase of glasses. I reminded her a total of four (4) times. She finally told me not to use the groupon because they would use a lesser quality lense in my glasses due to the discount in the groupon price. My 26 yr old daughter was with me and heard every word. Of course, I wanted the best possible lense material so I did not ourchase the groupon given what i thought at the time to be a professional guideline. My total bill came to almost $ 800!!!
(I chose a $ 169. frame) WTH !!!
I paid a portion and was told the remainder was due when my glasses & contacts were ready for pickup in approx 2 weeks. That was fine. As I thought about this later, I was very disturbed about being told I would get lesser quality if I used the groupon discount. I called and was told they would look into it, recvd callback but no satisfaction. I walked in approx 2 weeks later, sat down with mgr, was given a $ 120 discount, but had to buy the $ 99 groupon while there. WOW, Really not to my satisfaction but honestly just tired of dealing with their very unorganized and get the customer out the door attitudes. I paid my balance and left. My contact lenses weren’t fitting correctly so I did return, saw the same «unfriendly» dr. She switched my monovision back to what it was prior to my visit. Another week+ for the new order to arrive. No phone call when the order did arrive. Again, I did a walk in, picked them up after waiting more than 30 minutes as they tried to figure out what they were doing. A woman that had been waiting as well, got so frustrated, she left!!!
Really need to get their ducks in a row and invest in some Customer Service Excellence training!!!
Won’t go back. My time is worth more than a silly groupon that added up to save me absolutely nothing in the long run!!!

im very satisfied with the quality of the customer service every time i use optical for contacts and this last time frames and lenses!!! i will continue to use them in the future and recommend them to everyone!

This place is amazing, my brother got his first pair of glasses and contacts here so when my vision went bad this was my first choice, the exam was simple and they gave me a great deal on a pair of Michael kors glasses, they have the best customer service and my perscription was spot on

I recently moved from Nebraska and was looking for a new place to get my eyes checked and get some new contacts, as I don’t really care to wear my glasses. I called the office thinking I was going to have to wait for an appt, thankfully I was able to get in right away yesterday afternoon. The staff was all so friendly and very helpful. Dr Green was great. I even got a great pair of glasses Shannon helped me find the perfect pair, even tho I took quite a long time to find the perfect pair that made me look fabulous! Oh oh and I got them before the end of the day! I would highly recommend this office they were amazing and had so many great options. They have gained a customer for life.

The owner at Optical Masters really went above and beyond to take care of my disabled ex husband and I today. I have been a customer since 1988, and he really went the extra mile to help with an issue that we had one day. I highly recommend them.

Great costumer service all around! I have a really strong prescription and no eye insurance, which can make buying new lenses a challenge. They fit me with the perfect frames and found the best option for my new lenses. My glasses and contacts were in right away!

I needed sunglasses and went here based on a friends recommendation, very satisfied with my experience, I had a budget to work with, Kim helped me and was very professional, she found frames that I really liked, the eye exam was done professionally, the price was right and my sunglasses were ready the next day, I will definitely return here for any future needs, this was a great experience, all of the employees I worked with did a fantastic job

I’ve been going to Optical Masters since I moved here three years ago and I have always been really pleased with the service. Clark is awesome and always remembers my name. All of the staff are very nice, but Clark really stands out as someone who cares about his customers. They also have a good selection of affordable and more pricey designer frames. I will continue to go here as long as I live in Denver.

Have gone to Optical Masters for almost 20 years. Love them! Surprised to read some of these reviews as I’ve always been treated very well. They were patient when I’ve gone back because my glasses weren’t seeming like they had a setting enough prescription — they redid eye exam and put in new lenses that were better for free. When I wanted to try contacts, they spent a lot of time listening to my countless questions and teaching me how to use and care for my contacts. Even when I decided I just couldn’t hang with the contacts, they gladly took my unopened contact lenses towards credit on glasses. Plus they always have my glasses ready the next day. I’ve sent several friends to them and folks always thank me after. Keep up the great work, Optical Masters!

I LOVE this place! I live in VA and visit my sister in Denver every year, during which I have my eye exam at Optical Masters. I always order my contacts/​eyeglasses/​lens from them when necessary. Whether on the phone or in person — always a great customer service experience.

If you use Shannon you’ll get good service and the glasses will fit properly.
When I used a different person there my progressive didn’t seem to be perfectly aligned.

This is the second time I would purchase something from optical masters but the prices kept changing and the people who answered the phone refused to talk allows to talk to the owner of the business and also refused to let me talk to the office manager stating they don’t have any set schedules. The person who answered the phone was very rude I chose a pair of Versace sunglasses and asked them to be polarized but they want to charge a lot money for polarization. I was offered a refund and then I was refused and talk to very rudely.
This place is a major scam, major scam just go to replace a lens on ILiff they carry brand names and quality top notch customer cAre

I did a lot of research about where to get my eye exam. I settled here because of the price and reviews. However, my prescription was incorrect. This morning I can see because they got me in for another appointment and got the prescription correct. It was a hassle yes, however they did make it right, and they are concerned about customer satisfaction and for that I will do business with them again.

The doc doing the eye exam was good. If I were to return, I’d see him and get my prescription filled elsewhere. The guy that helped me with my frames and lenses appeared to not be at all interested in what I was looking for. He just tried to find the cheapest frames possible (ugly) and the most expensive lenses possible. He sat down and added up the numbers and told me my «out of pocket price.» Which was close to $ 300 even after applying my groupon deal. He seemed perturbed when I asked him to give me a breakdown on the charges and annoyed when I didn’t choose the most expensive option. His «people skills» we’re pretty much non-​existent. I would never have him assist me again. If I give them another chance, I’ll request someone else. I’ve been wearing glasses for more than 40 years. This guy was the worst I’ve experienced.

Right when I walked in there was someone ready to help me look for a frame. The staff is great, they were extremely patient with helping try on about 20 different frames. There is a Groupon but ask for other specials the store is having.

This is the first and only business I’ve gone for an eye exam, glasses, and contacts since moving to Golden in 2012. This place is a half hour drive for us but I chose it because we saw an advertisement with great prices and we were always looking for excuses to check out new areas. This is how we discovered $ 2 Books and Bull ‘n Bush Brewery.
My boyfriend came with for the appointment in July 2012 and I warned him he may have to keep busy a while because these type of appointments usually take a while. We were both pleased that I was calling him a little over 30 minutes later to help me pick out frames! I liked the doctor and remember having a pleasant experience choosing the right frames and lenses with the staff.
I called in the beginning of July 2013 to order a new box of contacts before my prescription ran out. The lady on the phone told me she would call me when they were in. After a week and a half I hadn’t heard back so I called. The lady this time told me she saw no record of me ordering them and it was after the date my prescription ran out. I explained that I called in early July for that exact reason and would really like to receive my order without having to schedule another eye exam. She was very kind and said she would do that for me and apologized for the miscommunication and delay in getting me my contacts.
I received a call they were in a few days later so I went to pick them up the following Saturday. I waited alone for about 3 minutes in the empty lobby without being helped. There was a man behind the counter when I initially walked in but he just disappeared into a back room without acknowledging me. When a kind lady finally appeared from another back room to help me she did so quickly and gave me some free contact solution.
So I have mixed reviews of their professionalism and service this month but I will update my experiences when I go back for an eye exam. Their prices are too great not to go back. I’ve had no problem with the two pair of glasses I purchased there, in fact I love them and get lots of compliments.
