Re: Cherry Creek Office I’ve had good experiences and bad ones here. My doctor is very nice, intelligent and helpful when I can get in to see her. She has cancelled appointments morning-of without explanation offering a new appointment time weeks away. The front desk is hit and miss too. Sometimes very helpful, other times rude and full of miss-information. I’m irritated today because I found out that a prescription has expired and I can’t get it renewed without an office visit. Seriously? My last doc would send out little reminder cards, this office? Nothing.

This review is for the Porter Primary Care family practice location in Cherry Creek at 300 S. Jackson St., Denver. We had a very nice experience here. Janae at the front desk was terrific; Evan the medical assistant couldn’t have been nicer; and Dr. Allan Hoch took plenty of time with my elderly mother’s new patient appointment. I was worried that mom wouldn’t be happy with getting a new doctor, but she really liked the practice from top to bottom. Also, the free parking and easy Cherry Creek location is a big plus for us.

From the moment we walked into the lobby we were greeted with nothing but hospitality. Although we had a longer wait, we were informed and given an estimate time to see the doctor. Absolutely loved my experience with Dr. Hoch & Sam! Dr. Hoch made sure I was informed and got to know who I was at a personal level; extremely important for a doctor. Sam kept me laughing and always had a smile on his face. He made blood work a breeze and ensured me of when he would follow up with me.

I am very disappointed in being treated by this office. I have not had a thorough physical for a few years and just started medicare. I was excited to see what might be wrong or right, and made an appointment in January to see the doctor in February of 2014. I saw him and had a pleasant meeting with the doctor, and then was told to go down to the lab so they could do blood work. Since that time I have become associated with Labs and what they do, as I am in the medical field, and a doctor associate of mine as well as a lab person asked, when looking at my labwork, whether I had fasted before. Porter Primary never mentioned this at any time before, during, or even at the lab, and results don’t mean anywhere near as much if you are able to fast before the testing. I find this abominable at best and truthfully borderline fraud. It seems they care about the money they get but not about the patient. Do not go to this office. It is a rip-off!!!
