As a Nurse, Sharon was amazed at the positive impact one person could have — especially during such a critical transitional time — the first 6 months after the birth of a baby.

She wanted to extend her impact by creating an expanded service that would help multiple families and find unique opportunities for qualified newborn care specialists.

I created Smooth Transitions after seeing new parents struggle through the first months without qualified support. Sure, they were getting lots of advice and offers of help, but not every family member or friend is an expert and more often than not, their best intentions were making things more difficult for the already tired parents.

My job as Owner of Smooth Transitions is to match our well-​screened and qualified Newborn Care Specialists with new parents who need supportive and nonjudgmental assistance in their home during the first 6 months after birth.

I use my years of experience and our in-​depth process to make the experience easy, stress-​free and most of all, effective in providing the support that so many new parents need and deserve.
