Stems Garden Design & Maintenance is a boutique, woman-​owned, garden company. We specialize in design, installation, and maintenance of beautiful ourdoor spaces. We are a full-​service firm and do everything from spring and fall clean-​ups, to regular garden maintenace (including annuals and bulbs) to bringing the vision of your outdoor spaces to life. We are great listeners, great gardeners, and we can «bring the pretty» to your yard.

History

Established in 1993.

Shelli Nelligan-​Anderson started Stems in 1993. Her background in both the fashion industry and landscape design gives her a unique style and an incredible eye for subtle detail.

Her gardeners are the best in the industry because they love what they do. You can tell that by the way they approach every garden. The day starts with a thorough briefing about the gardens they will tend and ends with a review of the work that was done. In between, your garden will have received all the benefits of their ongoing training and unmatched skills and knowledge. It’s what we call the Stems Touch.

Business Owner

Shelli has been gardening for more than 20 years, and started Stems in 1993 after returning to Denver from a job at the New York Botanic Gardens. Shelli has designed gardens all over the Front Range, and in Mexico, New York, St. Barth’s, San Francisco, and Florida. She brings a background in fashion design to her gardens that always produces beautiful results. You will find her most days checking on her gardens with her Jack Russell Terriers in tow or in the office creating beautiful outdoor spaces for her clients.
