The Blake and The Allison

The people in the building are friendly and considerate, which is always good.
However, as soon as the new property management company came in, the whole place took a downward turn.
The buildings are dirty, unkempt, maintenance requests aren’t being fulfilled, and calls are essentially being ignored.
I will not be renewing my lease here.

The Blake and Allison apartments were purchased by a new property managment company and things have went down hill fast. There is no longer building maintenance. Smoke alarms have been out of batteries for weeks on top of multiple upkeep issues. The new office staff is rude and unhelpful. Her only response is she is filling in. On top of that they lost one of two rents checks that were in the same envelope and are charging a late fee. I also called the unhelpful front office lady and told them my check has not be deposited. Don’t not move here.

This place has a lot of room to grow.
Its an older apartment building — but isn’t in the worst condition considering! The apartment layout is very spacious and the balcony is much larger than most apartments in Denver. The cabinets need to either be completely re-​painted or replaced. I noticed a lot of wearing on the wood and their way of fixing it was to send someone with a can of brown spray paint to touch it up. Now I have some areas painted and some are «wood grain». It makes cabinets that aren’t in horrible condition look much worse than they should. Come on guys. Step it up.
will someone please do something about the jerks who smoke cigs and weed while walking through the halls. we aren’t all smokers in the city of Denver and don’t want to deal with that in our homes.
Also do something about the old gentleman on the 5^th floor whose a hoarder and leaves his door open to air his apartment out — but it causes a stench in the hallway!
–can we have the parking lot cleared a little better when it snows too?!
I am very clean but still notice there are bugs near my front area. I’m assuming its the lack of cleanliness and monthly exterminator so the bugs are coming in from the hall. Can we fix the gap that’s under the front doors? It would definitely help with sound proofing the many children who like to play in the hall ways.
I had a roof leak multiple times, my sink drain broke in one of my sinks causing it to not drain. I’ve notified them in person multiple times and I still haven’t had it fixed. The leak still occurs occasionally when a heavy snow is melting, they never painted the original leak damange — and my sink still does not work. Good thing I have 2 of them in the bathroom.
There is constant turn over in the leasing office which leads to many mistakes being made due to poor training I’m sure. They messed up my rent statement every month for the first 5 months and I had to manually do the math for them and have them fix it. They told me all of my charges when signing the lease but then came back later and said they forgot a few and I had to pay a few hundred more dollars. I have left messages regarding the changes in the lease and rent which increased and they randomly decided to unbundle water (which is unfairly calculated for 1 bedroom renters) but I never get a response until I go down there and demand an answer.

These were nice apartments-​in 1972. Actually lived there for 27 years. THEN… cockroaches moved in, bed bugs moved in, lots of people on section 8 assistance moved in, LOTS of people who cook funny things moved in and — I moved out. So it’s just [renter, beware.] Somebody smelled something funny in one of the buildings. They finally checked it out. Dead woman. Guess she died of natural causes but her husband had just sat in his unit as if nothing had happened.
