The Collective Glendale

Out of all the apartments I’ve lived in the apartments themselves at Four Mile Flats are really nice, but that is the only positive thing. The leasing staff is absolutely terrible. I don’t say this lightly, as I understand people have off days, but every single time I have dealt with the staff has been a downright terrible experience. The staff is collectively the rudest group of people, every time you go in to even pick up a package they act like you are the biggest inconvenience (including a package they misplaced and I ate the cost on) and even when I was as friendly as possible the women there have had the worst attitudes. They lost our keys which had a motorcycle key which was expensive to replace and after a whole month of back and forth, all the effort on my part, they couldn’t locate what the staff had done with them and then while taking all the blame, refused to pay for the cost of the new key and replacement of the others. Also since Collective has taken over they cancelled the apartment security and as a result multiple vehicles were broken into in the year I lived here, as well as vehicles being stolen, including one of our motorcycles. The day we moved out I turned the keys into the office and for a second time left a forwarding address and then got a phone call three days later to ask if I had vacated the apartment and turned the keys in. And then was asked for my forwarding address yet again, this just goes to show the terrible communication within the office. The final straw was when we were moving out, about a week or two before I called and left a voicemail as well as sent an email to the leasing staff asking them to update the amount due for the five days I would be there, as it was saying I needed to pay a full months rent. I hadn’t heard back and the payment amount was never updated. I was then charged a $ 50 late payment fee as well as daily late fees. When I called yet again to inquire the staff told me they were really behind on voicemails so they may have not gotten to it yet and told me the basic amount due and said he would ask about the late fees being waived. I still have not heard anything back, but the online account still shows late fees and doesn’t even reflect the payment I made. When the payment was brought in and we asked for a receipt they didn’t know what to do and ended up photocopying the money order as if that would suffice as a receipt. Overall, if you never have to interact with the staff, the renters and apartments are amazing, but beware the staff are in constant disarray and have the worst customer service. I would NOT recommend this place unless you are absolutely desperate!

I’ve lived at Vantage Point going on seven years and have experienced at least 3 management companies over that time. We find The Collective Glendale to be the best of the three. In the past, things have been let go, but thus far The Collective has been on top of issues we’ve raised, and we appreciate that. The management team has been personable and helpful. Our questions have been answered quickly and kindly. We also appreciate the system The Collective has developed to handle packages.
That’s not to say that things sometimes move a little slow, or that maintenance issues haven’t been forgotten occasionally. But there are exceptions, not the rule.
We have seen improvements and upgrades being made. And we did know what we were getting when we rented an apartment built in the 1970s, but the prices are reasonable, the location cannot be beat, and The Collective has done well by us. We’ll be staying another year as a result.

As of 4 am this morning one of the hallway smoke detectors has been chirping.
I’d like to say that this this is unusual, but it’s not. Nearly once a week I’m woken up by a smoke detector in this building.
Moreover, I was of the belief that a pair of gorillas and their demon dog lived above me because it sounds like the ceiling is cracking every time they move. But, no, the people above me are normal sized. And I don’t think they actually kick stomp the floor every time they walk. The walls and ceiling are sadly just paper thin.
So, if you’re down to get about 4 hours sleep on a regular basis due to living in a really expensive shitbox– this will be a great apartment complex for u.

I lived in Vantage Point when it was owned by Blueline Properties, and then I would have happily have given it a 3 – 4 stars. Yes, some of the complexes are a little old, outdated and rundown (I’m looking at you Vantage Point & The Birch), but you know what you’re getting yourself into when you sign your lease. The staff at Blueline Properties were always very friendly, the 24hr maintenance was very prompt and polite the one time we had to use them, and with rent prices skyrocketing around Denver, the rent was pretty fair. I had 1 month left on my lease when Collective Glendale took over the properties and in that one month my opinion quickly changed.
When I was moving out I had to call the office several times to finalize last minute move out paperwork. They called me 3 times from 3 different people in the office telling me I needed to fill out paperwork to end my lease, which I had already done twice but somehow got lost. I had to call them twice, email them twice, as well as my new landlord calling and emailing them herself to get them to send my renters information over to her (which almost made me lose my new rental property). On move out day I called them and asked them where to leave my key since it would be after hours and their offices would be closed, the girl had no idea and I ended up suggesting just leaving it in the old apartment. The very next day they called me and told me they never received the key and that my apartment was still filled with things (which it was completely empty), come to find out they were in the wrong apartment.
It has been 4 months since I’ve moved out of Vantage Point at Collective Glendale and am finally writing a review because they still continue to run their office horribly. I needed rental verification for going back to school and I have now called the office 3 times and each time have been told I’ll receive an email with my rental verification… I still have yet to receive anything.

This is my second year with Infinity Flats and as soon as they were bought out by Glendale Collective, the apartment complex really took a turn for the worse. I had to end my lease and the previous leasing company, Blueline properties, had a policy where tenants could sublet out their apartment so long as they found new tenants and they passed the background check. They would then let you off the lease and the next tenants would take over. Glendale Collective claimed they would honor old leases with Blueline but sadly, they are going back on their word. They fired the entire staff from Blueline, all of which were much more pleasant to work with, and have left the current tenants with incompetent and rude leasing agents. I would not suggest these apartments unless you’re willing to put up with this nonsense.
