D.R. Hartman Construction has done several jobs for me over the years and I have been impressed and pleased with every single one. I am a Realtor, so I often have occasions to need a general contractor and I refer Don Hartman with absolute confidence. Don is responsive, he and his crews are excellent at their work. They take great care to protect furniture and property. Don is a straight shooter, honest, reliable, and he has never failed to deliver top tier service and results.

Don is committed to doing a quality job the right way. Through the years, I’ve been very impressed with his reliability and his dedication to producing a top quality project. If you are looking for a general contractor around the D.C. area, we strongly recommend Don and his crew. He takes the time to listen to what you want done, and then he’s not afraid to share with you what should be done — to make the project be built right. He has a lot of experience in his background, and that is a wealth of knowledge that I personally value. When I look for a contractor, I look for someone who is brutally honest and for someone who won’t secretly overbill me or talk over my head with lingo I can’t understand. Don meets that criteria, and he does what he says he will do. We don’t hesitate to recommend Don to any of our friends living around the D.C. area.

It’s really rare to find a good General Contractor these days. I can’t think of a better company then D R Hartman Construction. They really take the time to listen to their customers and work alongside their subcontractors. They are a fair, reasonable, honest, and provide that quality that is difficult to come by today.

If there was a «no star» option, I would choose that for this company. The President of the company, Don Hartman is unprofessional and really doesn’t know what he’s doing. He tried to upgrade me on EVERYTHING and when I said no on some stuff he flipped the switch and changed his demeanor real quick. He starts to stutter when he’s BSing so watch out. He also claims his company is registered with the Better Business Bureau-it’s NOT! Check it out before you let him work on your house and you will see for yourself what a BSer he is. Don’t waste your time with this ol’ timer!
