Recently featured in Crain’s Chicago Business, Beau K Catering, Personal & Private Chef Services offers a wide range of services from weekly Gluten Free meal service, demonstration cooking, personal and private chef services and In-​home private dinner parties. In the past 18 months, Chef Beau and his staff have been fortunate to perform over 180 dinner parties since 2011. Our private dinner parties have become our niche! We bring the «Beau K Bistro» to your home. From 2 persons, to 80, we will plan, shop, clean, prep, travel, cook, plate, serve, clear, and clean some more.

Our company is a «new breed» of Chef. We are great with your guests and fantastic with your meal. With Chef Beau’s experience w/​working for and with Blue Plate Catering (James Beard award winner) and Behind the Scenes Catering (Oscar’s, Grammy’s) I have seen and worked all types of events.

History

Established in 2010.

Chef Beau is passionate about great food. He grew up eating wonderful food from around the world and gained professional chef experience while working for several well known restaurants and clubs in the Chicago area. Beau took his training to the next level and enrolled at the prestigious Culinary School of Kendall College in Chicago where he pursued his certificate in Personal Chef and Catering Services. Chef Beau is also an endurance athlete and a nationally certified fitness instructor.

Chef Beau started Beau K’s Catering to fulfill a dream that he and his sister Kitty shared. Beau is the chef’s middle name and «K» represents his late sister Kitty. Unfortunately, Kitty passed away in May of 2008, but Chef William couldn’t let the death of his only sister stop him from pursuing their dream of one day owning a successful catering business. The name «Beau K» defines the company, as it is a play on the word «bouquet» which suggests «a cluster or small arrangement of» and in this case, great food!

Chef Beau is amazing! I found him through Unilocal and saw all the great reviews he had and decided I had to try him. I was planning a surprise engagement taking place at my house and Chef Beau made the night perfect. I asked if he could modify his menu since my now fiancée isn’t much of a fish person, and he was able to accommodate with no trouble at all. He is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to food and the effect it has on our bodies. He’s just an overall nice guy and amazing chef. I’d definitely hire him again for a party in the future and I’d definitely recommend him for any event you may have in mind!

I decided to have a dinner party for 12 people for my wife’s 40th bday… not an easy task but Chef Beau knocked it out of the ballpark. From the beginning, Chef Beau was great with helping me decide the menu. He answered my questions, took into consideration some dietary restrictions and tweaked the menu just how I wanted it. I also had asked for some recommendations for wine pairing and he his suggestions were great… I still go back and buy some of the wines he recommended. That night Beau and his server/​bartender showed up on time and quickly started getting ready. In no time, we were staring down an insane amount of bacon wrapped scallops (and some without the bacon). While eating on those and hanging out (never without a beverage thanks to Beau’s bartender/​server) some people wandered into the kitchen to talk to the Chef and hear his story, which is an unbelievable story about how a change of diet and cleaner eating can change/​save ones life. I’m not a huge «clean eater», but hearing his story definitely opened my eyes to some things. Dinner was fantastic. We had tenderloin with asparagus and brussel sprouts. Delicious. Everyone raved about it and raved about the service, too. After dinner we were playing some games and getting a little rowdy… thought we might scare Chef Beau off but he definitely seemed to be having a good time with us. For dessert, we had a lava cake that was to die for. At the end of the evening, our kitchen was spotless. That was one of my main concerns as I heard horror stories about some other private chefs leaving dishes in the sink and a messy kitchen. There were no dirty dishes and everything was cleaner than before he got there. Whenever our friends get together the joke is now, «Where’s Chef Beau?» We will definitely be using him in the future and I highly recommend him.

Chef Beau does it again. He crushed it with a 16 person private party I hosted. Not only was the food great, but his assistant was not able to attend, and he was on his own, and still did the dishes, cleaned up, and served, while I was able to host, and actually enjoy my party. Stop looking, and just call him. I will be calling him again and already referred him to a few colleagues.

Chef Beau came to our school today to talk to our students about healthy eating and do a demo. He was awesome. The children are already asking when he will return! He was great with the kids and the healthy cookies he made were enjoyed by all of us. I also got some good information from and just enjoyed speaking with him in general. If you book him, I’m sure it will be great food and a great time!

I highly, highly recommend Chef Bill! He cooked for a small dinner party to celebrate my fiancé’s 25th birthday in June. That was nearly 2 months ago (I’m a little slow!) and people are still talking about how fun the party was and how delicious the food tasted. Chef Bill was great to work with in planning the food for the party and was so flexible with some edits to the menu (I’m a vegetarian). He was a blast to hang out with for the night… he is so funny and personable and entertained everyone with the cooking and explanations of the dishes, and everything we ate was incredible. He made a chocolate lava cake that was to die for. If you’re looking for a fun, interactive chef and an outstanding meal, look no further than Chef Bill!

I bought a dinner for 8. Wow! Chef Bill and Chef Eagle came in and cooked up a storm. They were very personable and talked to us about the menu and encouraged us to join them in the kitchen while they worked. They were very professional and even did a fantastic clean up job. The food was great. The entrée was halibut and it was so moist. My guests and were blown away. I am definitely planning another event with Chef Bill and Chef Eagle.

We had these guys do dinner for our very large family through a YouSwoop deal. The food was awesome, they were super fun and we all enjoyed having them here. I would definitely do it again with them and pay way more than we did. The kitchen was spotless when they left and I loved learning about the food they prepared. They even accommodated extra people plus children and their picky eating habits:)

My husband and I joined our friends at a 8 person dinner party last night catered by Chef Bill and Chef Eagle and it was amazing. Our hosts nor ourselves could not stop commenting on how delicious the food was and how easy the whole evening was — Beau K arrived before the guests arrived w/​all their own equipment and ingredients, cleaned the countertops and set about the 4-​course meal for the evening — amuse bouche, salad, lamb and limon mousse. And they washed up! They were a delight to have and it certainly beat eating out! We would consider them in future as did our fellow dinner guests.

We recently had a small party and Chef R. Eagle Aleksander prepared the best meal I’d ever had. Everything was so good from the starter plates to the dessert! Eagle was such a great guy to. So easy to talk to I wanted to hang out with him after the meal! If you ever want a private chef to do a small party, Chef Eagle is the best you can get! So damn good!

Chef Bill and Beau-​K Catering provided one of the greatest dinner nights I have ever had. I was amazed that he had everything he needed with him! Talk about prepared. We were given several menu options, all of which were gluten free. The meal was simply AMAZING. I could go on and on about the food, which was imply amazing, but I want to talk about Chef Bill’s personality too!
He was a blast to have in my home and my kitchen. We laughed and joked and had the best night I could have hoped for. I cannot recommend him highly enough!

If you’re looking for a truly unique, fabulous way to entertain and eat like a king, book Beau K Catering now! We had the great pleasure of having Chef Eagle prepare the meal for our eight-​person dinner party last night and I’m still on a high! From start to finish, the whole experience was perfect: great service, amazing food (still dreaming about the mashed sweet potatoes and pumpkin mousse! And chorizo-​crusted halibut — how inventive!), and such, SUCH fun!
Aside from the absolutely divine food (honestly, one of the best meals I’ve had in ages, these guys are just wonderfully professional – and cool! I’ll be honest, when I purchased a YouSwoop deal for our party, I wasn’t really sure what to expect. As the date of our meal approached, I started to get a little nervous, mainly because we live in a tiny apartment that’s hardly up to the sort of posh digs I imagine someone who hires a personal chef generally has. Perhaps sensing my nervousness, Chef Bill assured me ahead of time that they had done all manner of parties, and, sure enough, even though we don’t even own a proper dining table (cobbled together a coffee table and a bench for eating :), Chef Eagle made the whole thing fun, sophisticated, and completely unpretentious. So, huge kudos for that.
Overall, a truly memorable experience that I highly recommend to anyone! Great way to get together with friends and treat yourself! You won’t be disappointed!

I bought a You Swoop deal and hired Chef Bill and his partner Chef Eagle to do a gourmet dinner at my house for 6 friends. The Chefs were friendly and took pride in their work. The food was great! We loved the healthy menu — poached salmon with a citrus sauce, beautiful crisp asparagus, a lovely salad with butternut squash and homemade blood orange dressing, and some creamy risotto. We had pumpkin mousse for dessert. I would definitely recommend Chef Bill and Chef Eagle again for other parties. They cleaned up the kitchen well too.

Every year my girlfriends and I do a Christmas party and this year we decided to change it up a bit after seeing a YouSwoop deal for Beau K. Boy, we could not be more pleased with our night! I was in contact with Chef Bill several times throughout the course of planning the event to discuss menu items, number of guests, vegetarian restrictions, etc. and he was very prompt and detailed in his responses. The menu we selected was delicious! Since we are 25 year old girls, cost was a little bit of an issue with us but Chef Bill worked within our budget and was very polite and resourceful about it.
The day of the event Chef Bill showed up with a big smile and was so friendly while preparing the meal. He talked to each guest as they arrived and helped everyone feel comfortable and excited for the food. Before serving each course (4 courses total) he talked to us a little bit about the preparation and interesting details about the food. He really does put pride into each item that he serves. Chef Bill washed plates and pots and after serving dessert he said goodbye and quietly left while we remained at the dinner table enjoying our meal and company. Overall, I could not have asked for a better night!

We hired Bill to cater a casual company summer pool party. He had amazing food ideas to compliment the setting and atmosphere we were trying to create. The food was fresh, unique and SO TASTY!!! If you are looking for a PERSONAL CHEF that cooks exclusively organic meals, you must try «Beaukcatering»! My boss travelled to Rosemont, IL for a convention and at he the last minute I had to find a personal chef. I contacted Chef Bill and he was so prompt to accommodate my boss’ needs: organic meals (veggies & meat). For about a week he cooked and delivered the meals at the hotel. All meals were organic and freshly cooked on daily basis. Chef Bill is very prompt with e-​mails and his phone calls. Most importantly Chef Bill is very talented, creative and health conscious. I highly recommend his services. Thank you Chef Bill for being SO great!
