We were in town from Louisiana and were craving pizza. Looked at the reviews and decided to give it a try. We decided to have the special of the day(snapper with a pasta and asparagus) that the waitress recommended along with the Napoli margarita pizza. OMG both were amazing. We even split the portions and still had pizza to bring home. The waitress found out it was my boyfriend’s bday and she gave him a piece of the tiramisu cake. So light and fluffy! To die for! Staff was excellent! We thought we would need reservations according to the reviews but luckily even though it was a Saturday night and they seemed busy(we got there at 8) they sat us down quickly! Highly recommend!

Very solid food, diverse selection. Great service. They were very busy but the wait was pretty short(less than 10 mins). I would recommend sitting inside… outdoor seating was pretty hot and without much shade.

We discovered this place a couple of years ago while on vacation in Destin. I had the Spaghetti tonite and it was excellent. Wife and kids had the pizza and Calzone. Both were great. Unless you’re gonna takeout you might want to make reservations or you won’t get in for dinner. Service is always good. Thumbs up!

From a family that knows Italian this place hits the spot. The pizza was delicious. Pizza crust amazing! Veal Parmesan was great. The Rigatoni Ala Vodka with sausage was flavorful. Fettuccini Alfredo was reviewed as great. I would not recommend starting off with calamari(save that for the seafood joints). The bread was also very satisfying. Make a reservation and yes they will call you back.

This is our 3rd visit. We asked waitress for her favorites and she recommended the shrimp Rigatoni and the Alfonso’s white pizza. Both were so delicious and service was great! Would definitely recommend and will be back!

The calamari, garlic rolls and desserts here are so good! If you are looking for a good italian place with great pizzas and pastas this is your place. I will say they are lacking healthier hot entrees. If you are a healthy eater you are stuck with salad. However the calamari was fresh and the desserts were delicious. Our waitress was very sweet. I do wish they would make it easier to get in if you are handicapped. Both of my grandparents are in wheelchairs and tables and chairs blocked their way to get in. We had to lift my grandma up a curb and my grandpa had to walk. The entrance is also very narrow. It’s definitely great for a date night or adults night out. Overall we enjoyed it and would go back!

Pizza was great: oven baked, quality taste. Not too expensive. Super fast: took only about 10 minutes to get our food from order. Great service: welcomed smiling faces. 5STARS.

We came in before the lunch rush but got served after everyone else it seemed. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was good, just good. The crust is what made this pizza. We ordered calamari as well but it was chewy. Alot waitress seemed to be swamped and just started seating us in a row. Some rude people sat by us and talked about personal stuff real loud while coughing and snorting like some pigs. Literal nose blowing on table cloth kinds of manners. Probably skip this one next time.

Well I moved to Destin and heard about this place. I tried it out on Thursday for lunch. It took a while for someone to greet me and the lady was not very friendly. My waitress was very friendly and attentive, hence the one star. The Caesar salad was great. I ordered the vegetarian pizza. I got sick about two hours later. Was not 100% sure pizza. Ate left overs yesterday and was sick again So we think about trying again after spring break.

Very Disappointed! As for oven baked pizza, 10 minutes to cook doesn’t do it. Dough was uncooked throughout the entire pizza. Dominos would have been better.

Truly a great dining destination! My party of 6 called ahead and got in at the quoted time. Many waiting assistants help to keep your drinks and bread filled at the table. Everything we ordered had generous portions and was delicious. I recommend the house salad, their homemade Italian dressing was very unique and tasty! All of the dishes had very bold flavoring and left you stuffed but wanting more. Truly excellent dining with out the price!

We really enjoyed dinner here. The food was excellent. Pizzas are sooo good! We even tried the desserts; the orange chocolate cream cake was AMAZING! Restaurant is very small and fills up fast so I definitely recommend making reservations.

The best Italian food hands down I’ve ever had from New York, Texas or LA. These guys know how to do it! East coast to west coast they’re the best.

Fat Clemenza’s is tucked into a strip center and is easy to miss. Don’t miss it, though. We enjoyed a filling meal here. Bread is complimentary and was warm and flavorful. I selected the ravioli-mushroom– with their famous vodka sauce. Rich and delicious. This was a great choice– the homemade pasta was pillowy, the sauce was creamy and warm– so tasty. We received quick service throughout the meal. The pizzas were ordered ‘to go’ for a future meal, and they were delicious. An authentic oven magically transforms the dough into warm, soft Italian goodness. The calzone was a treat as well– I snuck a few bites and was impressed with the flavorful meat(salami) and sauce. Two thumbs up for Fat Clemenza’s! Tasty food, great service, and an enjoyable time.

A great alternative to the local seafood fare is Fat Clemenza’s, which offers authentic Italian cuisine. My brother-in-law originally mentioned enjoying this restaurant during a Destin vacation and after checking out the positive Unilocal reviews we decided to give it a try. It has since become a required stop for us when in the area. The name of the restaurant as well as the photos on the wall are an homage to a character in the motion picture«The Godfather», a fitting theme for an Italian restaurant. Favorite dishes of ours include Linguini with White Clam Sauce, White Pizza, Regular Pizza, Garlic Knots, Olive Plate Appetizer, Fettuccini Alfredo, Tiramisu, Cheese Ravioli(or any pasta) with Porcini Mushroom Sauce, Mussels in White or Red Sauce, and the Arugula Salad. Fat Clemenza’s offers delicious authentic Italian food where you might not expect to find it. It’s wise to make reservations because this establishment is popular!

Love Fat Clemenza’s! It’s our first dinner in — it makes no sense since it’s not seafood based but last year, my husband was pretty adamant about wanting to eat here first. My suggestion — during peak season, make a reservation. It gets crowded, quickly. I love the ambiance of Fat Clemenza’s. Love the real Italian family feel. Service is personal and awesome. Food is fresh, authentic and served quickly. My boys are big fans of the wood-fired pizza. I love their garlic knots, their lasagna and this trip around, their lemoncello cake. It was delicious(I rarely get dessert on vacation) — light, creamy and super lemony. ALL the pizza was gone, a pasta bolognese bowl was licked clean and my daughter and I took down our shared lasagna. Fat Clemenza’s is always one of my suggestions to those new to the Destin area. It’s fabulous.

Don’t let the name«Pizzeria» fool you. This is a very good Italian/Pizza restaurant. I rarely reward a restaurant with 5 stars. I didn’t even hesitate with this restaurant. The food was absolutely divine. It started with us showing up without a reservation. We didn’t realize we needed one(they are recommended). However, most of the parties outside were almost finished so they were able to get us a table for four very promptly. Also, keep in mind that this restaurant is not come-as-you-are casual. Most patrons had taken the time to get cleaned up and were dressed in nice casual attire. We ordered a sausage pizza and the spicy linguini marinera sauce w shrimp. The sauce was true Italian red sauce and not lumpy. In my opinion, the sausage on the pizza needs to be sliced instead of chopped but that’s simply a personal preference. It had no bearing on the taste so I didn’t ding them for it. For dessert, we had tiramisu and cannoli. Both were fantastic and some of the best we’ve ever had. All in all, we WILL come back when we come back to the Destin area. Try them. You won’t be disappointed. If you found this review helpful, please let me know below. Thanks for reading.

FATCLEMENZA’S! Oh my goodness, you can not even imagine how much I enjoy saying(and yelling) the name of this restaurant. It absolutely cracks me up! …Anyway, the pizza is great here, y’all. The familia & I were craving some good, thin pizza(not that disgusting, thick New York style kind) so I’m glad my fellow Unilocalers pointed me in this direction. The wait to get pizza is insane so you are forewarned; this is a beach strip restaurant so with only 1 main road, what do you expect? Every place is going to get stacked, especially those with hella-good food. But hey, its worth it! We ordered 2 pepperoni, 1 white, and another white with caramelized onions — mmmmmm. Amazing. The garlic rolls are to-die-for, too. Definitely not for the health conscious though: they were soaked in butter and grease. In other words, great post-beach food!

This is a family favorite. Even the kids say«Fat Clemenza’s is the best» Make a reservation, or the wait may be long. It is some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed. When we visit we call ahead to make sure we get a seat.
