WALKS!

Puppin’ Around Dog Walkers serve the Woodbridge, Cass Corridor («Midtown»), Downtown, Mexicantown, Brush Park and Corktown neighborhoods of Detroit. Available from $ 15 per walk, we provide structured, healthy exercise in a stress-​free environment for your dog. Monthly packages are available at a discounted rate.

SITTING!

Our pet care professionals offer customized pet sitting for your beloved companions. We are only able to do pet sitting within our regular walking districts. Pricing is itemized by your personal needs, starting as low as $ 40 per day. Please contact us for details or any questions!

TRAINING!

History

Established in 2013.

Puppin’ Around was created from a dream of making a living working for ourselves doing what we love and are good at. That dream is now a reality. Our business use a collective model of organization. We run horizontally, with no one in power over another person. We are worker owned and operated, meaning that we are all equally responsible to the dogs, to the clients, and to each other.

Meet the Business Owner

Ashleigh D.

Business Owner

Ashleigh Davis is our Dog Trainer who also does a lot of dog walking. Ashleigh has only been training professionally since January 2013 but has worked with animals intensely since 2010. She has one dog named Clark, a 6 year old Australian Cattle Dog/​Pit Bull rescue. Clark threw her into the world of animal behavior when it became apparent after she brought her home that Clark was extremely aggressive. Clark was rehabilitated by Dr. Jim Lessenberry of Animal Learning Systems, where Ashleigh worked for two years caring for his training program dogs. Ashleigh also worked for Canine to Five, where she advanced her knowledge of dogs and how they interact, managing a pack of 60 – 120 dogs every day. You can find Ashleigh and her sidekick Clark hanging out at the Trumbullplex, an art and music space in Woodbridge, where she lives and regularly books events. She also volunteers at the Howell Wildlife Infirmary helping to rehabilitate wild animals– her favorites being the owls, hawks, and coyotes
