Darrell L. is President at NorCal Mastercraft. He is a Dealer of boats, yachts, & trailers. He is also Director at Hublife, providing a completely new approach and channel for your digital sale. Prior, he was President at River Boat Marine Center, a dealer for several types of boats and yachts. In December 2006, he was President at Northern California Marine Association. Until 2004, he launched various ventures in the maritime, real estate & Motor sports industry. In 1998 he was one of the founding partners of Marine Max HZO NYSE, 2000 he created and sold Rocklin Event Center. Prior, for 14 years he was Vice President at Harrison Marine Center.

Don’t bother with these guys!
Inquired about a used boat that was advertised on the internet and was quickly and extremely rudely turned away by «Rick»
I inquired about the bottom price on the boat,
(because I live 4 hours away and realistically wouldn’t be able to see it in person)
and was met with these two messages
me– «Is the price is flexible.»
Rick @ norcalmastercraft– «Some what however until currently below book and very light hours with a strong engine with level compression»
Me–
«Looks decent but with the boat being well over 20 years old and sun faded I think realistically it’s worth something like $ 5−6k
Let me know if you’re willing to deal. I’ll bring my truck out and the cash.

Great store — went in just to check out the place — ended up ordering a wakeboard for our kiddo — Matt was super helpful … He really knows his stuff. Had answers for every question we asked about several different products they carry. Best part is that it’s always buy one flip flops get the second ½ off mix and match tees flip flops. We will be spending a lot of time at this place this summer !

Matt at NorCal Mastercraft is amazing! Super knowledgeable. Friendly. I don’t feel like we are ripped off when we get our boat serviced. You walk away feeling taken care of and respected. Can’t ask for more than that! Would like them to be open later and/​or on Saturdays so that it makes dropping the boat off easier… but at the end of the day it isn’t that big of a deal. We were blown away by the calm and collected demeanor when we recently visited NorCal MasterCraft. We were browsing around and looking in particular at the Little Guy teardrop trailers. They are the only retailer for those trailers in the area, and how convenient that they are this close to us?
They had a few of the trailers on their lot, but not quite the model or size we were looking at investing in. When we went inside to speak to a representative, we were warmly greeted and welcomed. Everybody was doing their thing, and it was very chill. A couple of the staff members came out and chatted with us about the trailers. They were upfront and honest about what they knew of the trailers. It was really nice not to feel pressured at any point to purchase one, and everybody was very honest about their opinions of the trailers (everybody seemed to be a big fan!)
After hanging around and chatting for a while, my fiancé and I made the decision to go ahead and purchase one. We secured a loan through our bank at a very reasonable rate (go USAA!), and brought all of our documents back to NorCal MasterCraft. We sat down and placed our order for our Little Guy Trailer. It took no more than 15 minutes to place our order, process our down payment and get a copy of everything in hand. There was NO pressure, NO stress, and NO issues whatsoever. What a breeze!
We are anticipating about 2 months worth of waiting to receive the trailer; considering it is coming from the East Coast and still has to be built. We are eagerly and excitedly waiting!
This place is just awesome. The people are great, and they know what they are talking about. Not to mention the gorgeous boats and gear they have… tempting…

We just purchased a Little Guy trailer from Gary at NorCal Master Craft. Working with him was a terrific experience. He was very clear and didn’t try to push more add-​ons.
Our trailer ended up arriving 1 week early and we couldn’t pick it up right away. Gary let us store it there for a week while we were getting the towing figured out. When we arrived we still had some issues but Gary was extremely helpful and even hooked up his truck to test out the wiring.
I highly recommend Gary and absolutely love our Little Guy!

Everyone is so happy and friendly there! The wakerootsrideshop has a very knowledgable staff. We recently purchased a 2005 master craft x star and were treated so well, while making such a large purchase. This is for sure the place to go for all boating and water sports needs!

We just bought 80K boat from them. The sales there were not being honest at all. First time we went there, we asked the sales rep if we could test drive the boat. We were told that we could not test it out until we paid the boat in full. I even asked if we could put deposit to test the boat. They said no. Second time we went there, we negotiated a price on green color boat and put deposit of $ 5000. They called few days later and said that green color boat is actually 6K more. For that price we agreed on, it will have to be red color boat. We told them we will think about it. We went back 3rd time, they were willing to reduce the price 75K to 70K assuming that the boat is brand new. Sales person told us boat is brand new, it was never taking out to water, there no more than 4 hours on the boat. We just found out after we purchased the boat that there were 10 hours on the meter! We were very careless for not checking the hours on the boat. We asked how come there were 10 hours on the boat, they said they took customer out for test drive few times! We were told that we can not test drive the boat until we paid in full! This is horrible! Feel like sales rep were so dishonest through out the process. When the Manager Ryan called. He didn’t apologized at all, he was so rude! I think the 2 sales rep was ok, but their Manager was horrible! I have to hung up on him due to his rudeness!

Just purchaced my New Bass Tracker v18 combo a few weeks ago from these guys. I worked with Matt in sales, who is genuine, and very knowledgeable about the products. The sales transaction was smooth and I was kept updated throughout the process. After taking delivery of my new Tracker, Matt came out and launced the boat with my girlfriend and I on the Delta. He showed us everything inside and out on the boat. Hes also an excellent fisherman, and we immediately started catching large Bass. After a couple weeks I had some minor issues. trailer light bulb out, and some minor interior issues. I called to make an appointment but was told they were very busy and i would not be able to come in right away. I explained I had just bought the boat, and needed it for a planned camping trip. They took me in right away! Talk about service! Theses guys are first class. Thanks alot Nor Cal Mastercraft! You guys Rock!

We were invited to «Surfin’ Sunday» on the Sacramento River. It was an amazing opportunity to learn about MasterCrafts and how our family would function in it. We spent a couple hours on the river in their demo boat with the Service Manager who drove, explained features and options, and answered questions. As a bonus, an amazing Hyperlite Wakesurf rep/​instructor joined us and got everyone up and riding (even the old guy! lol). We saw first-​hand how the boat’s features help the rider. Between the expertise of the Service Manager and the wakesurf instructor, we were able to experience what a day on the lake would be like for us in a MasterCraft (nice!). If you’re reading this — you know this is a big investment — and I have to ask why other dealers don’t give you an opportunity to experience their boats — on the water — before you buy.
And the SalesManager treated us to a great lunch at the restaurant beforehand. Now that’s how you treat a customer!

My local service center was booked up for two months so I decided to give these guys a try. I dropped the boat off for service with a bearing go out on my axle. I also decided to get the 100 hour service since it was in the shop and had been a year since being serviced. I dropped the boat off on April 26th and was leaving town on a two week trip.
I was told I would get a call about the axle and how the repair would proceed.
Left country for 2 weeks… no calls to cell or home while gone. Got back in town and was busy and did not call them for another week. Finally 3 weeks after I dropped it off I called to get a status and was told I would have to buy a new axle for $ 1200 and that it would take 2 weeks to order. I waited the two weeks and gave them another week of play. I called after the 3 weeks and was told that this was a custom axle and it was taking longer than expected but should be in the following week.
I asked if they had at least done the engine service so I wouldn’t have to wait much longer after they got the axle. I was told they like to do the work all at the same time and that when the axle comes in they put that on and then a day or two to do the engine work.
Axle came in on June 17th… got a call on the 18th that the trailer was ready to go. However they now had looked at the engine finally and found it needed $ 400 additional work beyond the $ 900 100 hour service. I was a little upset to find this out just then, after 7 weeks in the shop already. During the call I voiced my displeasure about the length of time it was taking and that they were not very efficient in getting the work done… and I was losing a lot of summer boating time already. They said if I approve the new repair budget they would finish up on Friday and I could pick the boat up saturday morning.
Got a call Friday afternoon and the repair is taking longer than anticipated and that they would work overtime on the weekend to get it done (there goes the sunday fishing trip). I asked how soon it would be done… they say early next week.
Never once did I get a «sorry this is taking so long» we would like to give you a little discount for the trouble. but rather I got the «yeah when we got into the engine we found other things» kinda like when you take your car to the dealer for an oil change and they tell you the transmissions needs replaced.
Guys…not a warm and fuzzy feeling. Too bad because they are just down the road from my house!

Just purchased a new Bass Tracker from these folks and I must say, true professionals. Gary was our sales rep and my wife and I are so lucky to have met him. He’s honest, knowledgeable, genuine and everything you would want as a sales consultant. He wasn’t pushy at all and was willing to go the extra mile for us when we needed him to. We had a few hiccups in finance and I dont want to get into the details… but the owner was able to sort it out very effectively and efficiently so that we could take the boat home.
After we took the boat home, I almost immediately took it out to the waters because I was way too excited. I felt like a kid again waiting for the sun to rise so that I try out that new bike I got for my birthday.
Upon taking the boat out, it stalled on us a few times. I was a little worried and lost a little confidence in the boat considering that it was brand new… so called the owner and he immediately sent John, one of his master certified technicians and addressed it accordingly. Again, I don’t want to get into the details, but it turns out it was just a bad wiring harness from the factory. John got me a new one within a few days, installed it, and now everything is working like a charm. John’s efforts in making us feel comfortable was exceptional. I truly believe if this was a different set of guys who helped us… This deal would have been in the shitter. No joke. I am not the type of guy who gives chances and opportunities. I give it once and if you fu** it up, we’re done.
Moral of the story: Your going to face these hiccups, it’s inevitable. It’s how you handle them, that seperates the men from the boys.
Great job team at NorCal Mastercraft! I would highly recommend and definately would return for future business including scheduled maintenance. Confidence fully restored. =)

I went to the Sacramento location to look at a used ski boat. I was assured by a sales guy Shawn that the boat was perfect and super clean because the service department worked on cleaning it for 3 days. I drove from out of town to check it out and the interior of the boat was a mess with multiplal broken parts. The batteries were dead so couldn’t check anything like the stereo etc. The sales person Shawn didn’t offer to get it working and said «well think about it» and walked away. The following day I made an offer based on the parts that needed repair and he replied «good luck finding another boat»! No counter offer or anything. I would shop around at other deakers first before going to nor-​cal. It’s obvious they don’t want to «earn» my business in this terrible economy where boat sales are at a all time low. I hope the business owner reads this and teaches his sales rep how to follow up and make sales. I would have bought the boat if he wouldn’t have been so rude and counter offered me. Their loss…

I recently bought a 2012 Zero S electric motorcycle. They got me a decent price on a demo model.
My real reason for writing is to let everyone know that they did a great job of fixing a rather frightening defect. The motor began manifesting some problems nearly a week after the test drive. They transported it to and from my home for free and worked with Zero to fix and exhaustively test it. None of us could have predicted such a bizarre defect, but now everything works. I’m very happy.

I went there to purchase a used open bow that they had on the lot. When I asked about the price, they insisted that I go inside and «write up the deal». They treated the transaction like it was a used car sale! I kept telling them that I was paying cash and was not interested in financing and that I wanted their «best cash price». They kept trying to sell me on a «payment». I finally left out of frustration (you should have seen them scramble as I was leaving). I purchased a used boat from a private seller a few days later. Their loss…

When I was looking for a small watercraft to buy, a friend suggested I check this place out. It was visible off highway 50 and once I got to it, I thought they might have what I wanted. The staff was friendly and helpful. I am new to the boat ownership world, so their knowledge helped me make a good decision. They tried to sell me something that was right for what I was looking for, not out of my budget. I will definitely use them as I get more experienced. They helped me have a cool wet summer on the lake.
