This is as good as it gets. The level of instruction is top notch without being pretentious. My boys and I train 5 – 6 days a week here in Gi and No-​Gi Jiujitsu. My oldest son is internationally ranked in BJJ due to the dedication of of Fabio and staff.
Fabio’s network of instructors from the Carlson Gracie team, Team Alpha Male and others brings in a wide variety of styles.
Very welcoming and definitely substance over style. The gym is rather no frills, but we’re there for the instruction, not how pretty the facility is.

My husband and I moved to California from the Seattle area a little over a year ago. He has trained BJJ for four years and was close to earning his purple belt when the military moved us to California. I decided it was time to get my husband back into an academy. He took time off, mostly because he was afraid that wherever he went, he wouldn’t like it as much or feel the same family environment. I paid a visit to Prado academy after work and spoke with Wayne, who was extremely excited to have my husband join. Fabio was there, and was extremely polite and cordial to show me around and answer my questions. He even mentioned that he has known the black belt my husband trained under since he was a purple belt. I knew my husband would love it, so I signed him up and surprised him for Christmas. He has been there for a few weeks and absolutely loves it! The technique training is great, the rolling time is awesome, and best of all, everyone makes you feel like they want you to be there — even when I sit and watch, the other wives make it a point to chat with me and make me feel like a regular. I couldn’t imagine a better fit for my husband, and I want to personally thank Fabio and everyone who trains there for making us feel so welcome!

Fabio and his entire organization is First Class. You cannot find a nicer more competent instructor for yourself or your children. Whether you just want to get in shape or be a World Champion — this is the place!

Hands down most welcoming and supportive people I’ve ever met. Instantly a part of the family when you walk through those doors. Fabio is one of the best Jiu Jitsu practitioners around and I have learned a lot from this man! The only thing I beat myself up about is that I didn’t join earlier!

Prado Academy is a great place to train. Professor Fabio Prado is a great teacher and always has a smile on his face. The people there are friendly and very helpful. They also offer a kick boxing/​muay Thai class. If you are looking for a place to get in shape and learn some self defense come try a class!

This is one of the best Brazilian Jiu-​Jitsu academies, and I have been to quite a few. Fabio is one of those rare coaches that knows how to teach everyone from kids, beginners, and recreational rollers all the way to amateur and professional MMA fighters. The gym has a family friendly atmosphere, but don’t be fooled there are a lot of talented folks to sharpen your skills with. Fabio is very traditional and anyone promoted by him has earned it.
