Good To Go Oil Service has been serving the Dripping Springs area since 2003 after its owner, Mike, and his wife, moved to the area. Our mission is to provide superior preventative and scheduled maintenance on vehicles of all makes and models in a welcoming environment. Mike has been working with cars for many years, and moved to the Dripping Springs area in 2001. Mike and his wife, Phyllis, had backgrounds in management at nationally known companies, however after being in the Dripping Springs area, in 2003 they opened up Good To Go Oil Center. Mike enjoys being able to assist the community and being a part of it at Good To Go, where quality, top-​notch service is the driving force of his business. Mike hopes that when you stop by Good To Go Oil Center you’ll notice the difference and return any time your vehicle needs scheduled maintenance.

Took my 2012 Dodge van for the standard oil change. Usually do it at a place much cheaper the the 30 $ charged here but wanted to support a local business. Informed the person doing the writeup that I wanted the standard oil change. Much to my surprise I was presented with a bill for $ 87.23 for the oil changed. When questioned, I was informed that this vehicle required the synthetic type oil. Wrong. Never had this before, the manual the tech quoted said it was per the owners manual, wrong again. Don’t make a scene, but not returning to this business.

Insinuated that I was fraudulently asking for restitution for repair work on my car due to their improper filter installation.

Full service Oil change?!
More like full service rip off.
They just changed my oil, nothing else for 39 dollars. You know it’s a good place cause they actually vacuum and fill all the fluids, put air in your tires.
The two guys working there looked like they hated their jobs, I don’t get it, why ruin your business by hiring people that don’t want to do what they are getting paid to do. Never going there again. Full Service means full service, not half service for full price.

I stopped by today at approx. 10:15am to get my vehicle inspected. I have never met a ruder employee than the the guy working the front desk. What a disgrace! I try and keep my business local in Dripping Springs but will never try this place again.

Normally I love this place. 10 minutes in and out for an oil change. Today the guys have dropped the f-​bomb about 20 times. I can hear it in the lobby. The guys seam short tempered today. Definitely would not have your kids with you when you come here. Have gotten my oil changed here several times before no problems. Today I’m not so sure it was a good idea.

I have gone here many times for an oil change and never had any problems. However, today I went to get an inspection done. I could not believe how rude the employees were. I actually told them to forget it and I would go somewhere else. I am not a confrontational person, but this was unbelievable. I will never be back and I would advise others to stay away as well.

We ran into issues with having to do an out of state inspection and their customer service on it was poor at best.
1. We went in the first time to do an inspection and their guy doing inspections was out so we tried again.
2. We go in and they had only one «out of state» inspection form left, so they complete the inspection on my wife’s car after an hour wait and I am out of luck.
3. I don’t want to try again and go to central garage and everything is done well. Central garage notices insurance messed up our VIN and corrects it on my form.
4. We have to go to Good To Go to get a corrected form. I call in advance to make sure they have out of state forms in. We drive in and then they say oops our guy that does it is out to lunch for an hour.
If they mess something this simple up that bad who wants them looking at your car. Maybe it’s a great place and I ran into a horrid experience but not going to use them for anything else. They seemed very undisturbed about the poor customer service.

These guys are good, professional, always polite, and get the job done quickly. Never had any problem when I’ve gone there, and between my wife and kid, we have 4 vehicles, so we go there a lot.

I will never go anywhere else for an oil change. We were in and out of there for less than $ 40 in less than 15 minutes. Shaun and all the guys couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. Why would you go anywhere else???

Proof that if you need ANYTHING beyond gas or a gallon of milk you better go east is DS towards Austin. Went here Saturday for an oil change & inspection, was told they could not inspect car after 2 on Saturday (had zero customers except me). Came back in Tuesday…“out of stickers”. I guess the pony express was running late to «Radiator Springs» today. Oh well, at least the schools are good. I recommend Firestone at oak hill on a Saturday.

Guys you were great about taking care of an oil filter problem that had holes in it for the Subaru cars. It would have been nice if you would compensate my daughter with a free oil change for the time she spent taking it to the dealership first thinking there was a problem with her car and then needing to bring it back to you. To keep customers they just need to leave happy after a problem. I would like to come back.

After going to 2 other places to get a simple oil change, and being told it would be a 1 – 3 hour wait, I was SO happy to find that Good To Go would be able to get it done right away. I was in and out in 45 minutes! Everyone here is really nice and professional.

OK, I never like anything, but… This place is Great! Friendly, Professional, Reasonable and Fast. They do it right and stand behind their work. They are Texas boys, former Marine manager and 2nd Amendment décor-​no cobamanist stickers here! Whats not to like?
Worth the drive from Austin. I’m a regular now.

I went here for a state inspection the other day and there were 5 other cars waiting. I figured it would be 1 – 2 hours before I was done. To my surprise, the guys working there really hussle to get cars in and out quickly.
Once in the garage, my inspection took all of 5 minutes.
The employee I dealt with (Asst. Manager) was very pleasant and had a good, friendly attitude.
My only gripe was the very loud heavy metal echoing through the shop. I had to keep my car windows up while waiting in line, it was that loud.
I highly recommend coming here for your service versus the Express Care further down 290 closer to Austin.

Seriously, this place is nearly hidden from the road and I think the only reason they are sill in business is the great service and attention to detail that keeps their loyal customer base coming back.
Next time you need an oil change or inspection, screw Jiffy-​Lube. Google map this place (or else you’ll drive right past it) and give them a try. One time and you’ll be hooked too.

I ran out of fuel about 3 miles east of GTG like an idiot and one of the guys here helped me big time. It was a particularly unlucky spot to run out of fuel too, right between Oak Hill and Dripping Springs. The guy I talked to lent me his personal fuel can full of two gallons, which he didn’t have to do, but I made sure to repay his generosity. The closest fuel pump was another 3 miles away. That’s not exactly hardship, but if I don’t have to walk another 6 miles, obviously that’s a huge relief. His name was Mason, big dap to Mason for saving me a long uphill march into town. They’re alright by me.
I’ve never had my oil changed or car inspected here, but hell, anybody can do that, so that’s not how I judged them. I reckon Christina M. had her car registered in Travis County and that they require emissions testing there, so it’s not a good idea to go to some place that is probably in Hays County. Or who else knows. No point in getting angry at people because of laws. Anybody who lives in Texas for two seconds and isn’t completely stuck on themselves knows that Travis County is a unique jurisdiction, and I’d bet you a hundred dollars that’s why they couldn’t help her. Why didn’t they just break the law for that lady? I mean anyone who gives a one-​star to a Subway restaurant after walking in out of the blue and ordering like ten sandwiches is obviously a really big deal and needs to be taken care of. Must have sucked for her having to go to another garage a few miles down the highway. I have no comment on the rest of her story, but Good to Go oil is okay by me. I would recommend the owner consider installing fuel pumps.

Joke is on me. I thought the inspection and oil change was quick and they seemed polite.
Background: I drive a 2005 Lexus RX 330. This is a car that I wouldn’t have necessarily chosen, however, when my pre-​owned Tahoe was on its last leg, I purchased this car from my parents for the «daughter price.» My parents take care of their cars like no one I know, and I had been laid off, so this car was a godsend to me.
However, my girlfriend enlightened me that some people view the drivers of these vehicles as «stuck up bitches.» Well, although I am not one of those, it seems in this case maybe she was right about the stereotyping? Let me know what you think.
I had left the new registration sticker off my car with the hopes when I got it inspected both stickers could come off, all that yucky glue would be removed, and I would have both stickers lined up nice. These guys didn’t bother to clean off any of the sticky residue from before, and placed the placed stickers so crooked and far apart (width-​wise) from each other it seems intentional! :(
Also, I asked them if they could please replace my license plates for me because I got new numbers. They did that, however they put the new plates on without the nice frames that obviously go with them.
As I left, there were about 4 guys talking in a group looking my way and they had smiles on their faces. I thought they were being kind or were laughing at their own conversation. Now I realize it is likely they purposefully put those stickers on all crappy and left the frames off just so I would be annoyed for a year with those stickers and have to redo the plates myself.
Well, I think it is sad. I am a student nurse and genuinely a caring and nice person. I will not be annoyed all year with the stickers because I am going to get a replacement registration sticker, clean up the mess, and line them up myself.
Rude!
BTW– if it wasn’t intentional, then these guys just clearly don’t give a crap about the quality of their work. I wonder if they even changed my oil.
