At Snowflake®, we have dedicated ourselves to not only making the best tasting Taiwanese Snow Ice in the Bay Area, but one that is both healthy and environmentally sustainable. We hand craft our flavored ice daily using only 100% natural ingredients and as much of the freshest fruit in season … no powder mixture is used at Snowflake. and we obsess over every detail that makes a quality ice to simply dazzle your taste buds with our unique blend of fresh fruit and toppings. We also provide a full café at our Dublin location so come check us out. We are also located in San Jose and we will be opening our new store in Berkeley in the summer of 2016.
History
Established in 2011.
Our first SNOWFLAKE store opened in Dublin, California sometime in April of 2011 located in a small mall in Dublin serving the new Asian American communities in the suburbs of Contra Costa and Alameda County. Since our initial opening, Jeff and Janice have been developing and serving quality interpretations of their classic asian dishes. It’s been 20 years since Jeff Kou left his native land of Macao where he honed his skills with the delicious fast food cooking style of backstreet Hong Kong cafes. Since then he has worked over 15 years as a Japanese sushi chef in the San Francisco Bay Area.
While Jeff still enjoys the fine art of Sushi and washoku style of Japanese cooking, for past 5 years he has immersed himself into the new world of Asian desserts that he experienced on his trip to Taipei 5 years ago. His take on the new Taiwanese Snow Ice desserts was to reinvent it as a truly natural and healthy dessert rather the formulaic powdered ice desserts offered by many of the new Asian
