Ocoee Rafting

If you’re wanting to raft, DO IT HERE! Very nice and knowledgeable guides. After rafting several different places I can honestly say it’s the best around! Our guide made the most of the entire trip! For a plus they give you snacks and water at the halfway point!

This was our first time to the area, and I picked them on a whim. Let me just say, this was by far, the highlight of our trip! Booking was streamlined and simple, the people are fantastic. Our guide was Carlie and she was very fun and knowledgeable of the river and the surroundings. We felt at ease with the entire process. I would do it again in a heartbeat! They take pictures that you can buy (which we did) at a point going down a rapid, which makes for a very fun memento. Great, great, great!

we have been more than 5 times to the Ocoee and 3 have been with Ocoee Rafting. all teammates are knowledgeable and accomodating to our needs. our daughter has autism and Cerebral Palsey and they have always been responsive to her needs, while still having a blast during the trip! all team members are from the area and are passionate about their job. their bathrooms are EXCEllent!!! bring cash to support their café.

Had such a great time! Our guide Colten was super nice knowledgeable and had us having fun! The journey has thrills and calm waters of different levels. Being in nature and enjoying the views as well as the rapids was just the perfect way to spend the day! Highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful trip down the full river trip on the Ocoee. Our guide was Caleb and he did an excellent job. We went Sunday of Labor Day weekend and the river was busy but weather was great. River has some good rapids.

We had the BEST TIME rafting the Upper & Middle (full day) Ocoee River. Our guide Jeffrey was even better than we could have asked for. He had a terrific personality, made us feel very safe on the trip but also didn’t shy away from every opportunity to give us a thrilling ride. We got completely soaked!!! It was totally worth it and I cannot wait to come back next year.

SO MUCH FUN!!! I don’t even know what else to say! Just… Soooooo much fun! Way more fun than any thrill ride at any amusement park! I highly recommend our guide, Dicky! He was really enthusiastic and knowledgeable and just totally chill! Our adventure on the Ocoee has even inspired my beau and I to delve further into the sport and we are planning to plan a bunch more rafting excursions around the country! It’s our new favorite thing!

We had a great time here. Bo was our guide. He was very nice. He tried to make sure that we have fun experience and amazing time during the rafting. We really appreciated his good job. We would definitely come back and we would love to have awesome rafting experience with Bo again.

One cup of coffee, a two hour car ride, and we’re going white water rafting? My enthusiasm was evidently lacking, but as part of my best friend’s bachelor weekend I made it a point to act enthralled.
Ducktown, Tennessee — aka the land of no cell phone reception. We arrived at the site, where signatures were required, documents were written up, and gear was passed out to us trailblazers. After a generic rules/​safety speech by Matt (our impending guide), about 40 of us hopped on a school bus and drove 15 minutes to the Ocoee River.
The next two hours on the five and a half mile trail weren’t a blur, but more like a surreal experience. One where I couldn’t fathom the beauty of the river, the expertise of our guide and the fact I was actually white water rafting all at once.
Matt had us go over our responsibilities before we hit the water: paddling techniques, safety instructions and how to respond to his commands. And I think we did a fairly good job at following them, except for the «lean left» call.
There’s just so much I can say, I could truly compose a novel of our adventure. The dips, the turns, the ferocity of the Rapids, the crispness of the water, the smiles on our faces — I will always remember this experience.
Matt’s incredible knowledge of the Ocoee and his rafting talents made for a remarkable journey. We all had an outstanding time and we were surely wiped out the following day. WOULD RECOMMEND to anyone who’s up for a little spice in their life. Five river rafting stars, guys.

I truly cannot say enough good things about this white water rafting trip! I had so much fun, our guide Lauren was the best! All the staff was great and they made us feel right at home! I cannot wait to come back and do it again. I totally recommend this company if it’s your first time or your 55^th time! From the bathroom to the general store everything is so clean and nice! Thanks Lauren for making my first whitewater rafting trip the best ever, you rock!

We went down the middle river with Dickey as our guide. Best rafting trip ever!!! We have been down the Ocoee and the Pigeon river before. My husband has done several other rivers and he says that Dickey made this trip down the Ocoee the best rafting trip he has ever been on. This is going going to be our go to ocoee outfitter/​guide!!! The bathrooms at the outpost could only be compared to a 5 star hotel. I am not kidding. Marble countertops, separate showers, and spotless. The porch is a great place for relaxing. Best ocoee rafting place in all of ocoee rafting land.

I would highly recommend this company. The guides are outstanding… knowledgeable, patient, and lots of fun. Ask for TJ if you’re there on a weekend. I had never been white water rafting, but after this experience, I plan to go again. Great facility too!

We always have a great time with Ocoee Rafting. The facilities are great, the equipment is sturdy, and the guides are well-​trained.

Let me just start off by saying… there are a ton of other options in the area, but I would HIGHLY recommend this company.
The booking process was easy, they chatted with me on Facebook (great social media customer service, guys!) answering all of my questions and made me feel extremely comfortable with the trip before I even got there.
The facilities were super nice! The bathrooms were really clean, large and had plenty of room for people to shower/​change, etc. The check in process was easy. About fifteen minutes before your trip time, they let you check in. You fill out the waiver and then hang out for just a few minutes. They call your group time and you get the paddle, helmet and life jacket. Someone then calls out your group name and let’s you know who your guide is. Then you get on the bus for the short trip over to the river drop in.
Our guide, Emily, was THE BEST. She made the entire trip so much more fun. I highly highly highly recommend being her raft if you can be. She has been there, I believe, 9 years. She really knows her stuff. I felt extremely safe with her. She warned you on areas that may be a bit more dangerous, advised us on what to do if we were to fall out at different parts, etc. I was quite nervous as it had been some time since I had gone rafting, but felt awesome after the first few minutes of being in the raft with her. She was knowledgeable about the river, history of the area and had a lot of other neat facts she shared.
Our group was fantastic and I was so thankful that we got paired up with two awesome couples.
We did the full river, which had a stop about halfway where they served granola bars and bottles of water. It was very much appreciated. I would recommend wearing lots of sunscreen and not forgetting your knees! (I got sunburned on my quads and knees!) Wear closed toed shoes, not sandals or flip flops. I wore water shoes and they were perfect.
They show you the pictures at the end, that they took throughout the river. You are able to purchase the picture on site when you get back, but they are also offered on their website. There is a tip box at the outpost that you are able to tip your guide. They do not share/​split tips, so keep that in mind!
I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a fantastic rafting experience.

EXCELLENT rafting compay… nicest facitilities i’ve seen, new to newer equipment… GREAT guide, one of the best i’ve rafted with (ASK for BRETT!) he took us right through the middle of everything, challenging those of us that wanted it, while taking care of those that weren’t so sure (had them «get down»). we did the full day trip, would def recommend and hope to be back soon. wonderful way to start our trip!

Great, clean, new facilities, excellent staff… easy on and off the river, easy to get to… what more could you ask for? How about a GREAT trip down the river? Yep, they got that too.

YES, you WILL get wet, and YES, you MIGHT flip over.
Listen to your guide, the way you row prevents you from flipping over.
