Great and tasty pastries. Good place to go to when craving something sweet and/or coffee.

A really good/different dessert place to try! The desserts arent excessively sweet. The taste is subtle and well-balanced. I would definetly come back here!

Hands down one of my favorite bakeries. Tucked in between Blazin’ Cajun and I Luv Phở sits an unassuming bakery that is filled with delicious diet killin’ pastries. A friend and I walked in about 8ish on a weekday as it has been on both of our bookmarks and highly recommended by a trusty sweet tooth friend. We were greeted by Art himself who patiently waited for us to decide between what was left in the 3 display cases. On the far right were Middle eastern assortments of baklava’s, pistachio and nut cakes. The display in the middle were cookies and the ones on the left were cakes. Each tray was labeled and Art readily answered any questions we had. To share, we decided on the Art’s specialty. It is this wonderful, light, flaky pillow top like dessert that is filled with chantilly cream and fruit slices. Although the fruit was the canned cocktail variety, it was still beyond delicious. The crust was flaky enough to be light but sturdy enough to be a good foundation for all the cream. Seriously crazy good. However, it is so light that my palate was wondering if I was even eating a dessert if that makes sense. I also brought home an assortment of desserts to share with the brother and the SO: bakalava, pistachio cake, raspberry almond cake and the white chocolate success. The raspberry cake was a moist sponge cake surrounded by sliced almonds and a bit of raspberry jam on top. It was pretty good although the brother mentioned that it was a bit of almond overload. Now, the white chocolate success was just… wow. I LOVE white chocolate. But it is very temperamental to work with and can easily be chalky and excessively sweet. Art’s was none of that. The white chocolate was perfectly sweet enough. The tart’s crust was a bit chewy for me, but provided a nice base. I would get this again just so I can get the white chocolate shavings on top of the cake! You just gotta go here, trust me!

I adore local French bakeries with every fiber of my being and I’m sad that it took me this long to come here when I hit up I Luv Phở once a week… Nonetheless, the ice is broken and has been added to my 2nd home list of places to eat often. We walked in close to 8pm on a Thursday night and I’m not even a bit sad that there aren’t many pastries left. This just means that most of the damn good ones were sold out earlier in the day. There are three display cases, the one to the right is all Middle eastern pastries(Makaroon, Baklava, Burma etc…) the middle has cookies and croissants which are sold by the .lbs. The very front near the cash register displays all the cake slices(Strawberry Succes, Chocolate Success, Tiramisu, Raspberry Vanilla Cake, Black Forest, Chocolate Mouse Cake(with pistachios for ears and white chocolate for a tail, very adorable) and his infamous Art’s Specialty pastry. Let me tell you about this specialty one… it’s really special for a reason. It’s light, delicate yet crunchy puff pastry topped with toasted almond slivers and dusted with confectioner’s sugar. Between the puff pastry is a generous piping of Chantilly cream and fresh fruits. Oh my goodness, it was so delightful and we totally lucked out with one. The good news is that he makes them fresh every morning and you can call in advanced to place your order with Art. This cute little baker/café has been around for close to 5 years and I hope that it will continue to thrive. Art also makes buttercream cakes for special occasions and but is on hiatus for fondant cakes at the moment.

YES, ANOTHERBAKERYONTHEEASTSIDE! I was introduced to this bakery by a fellow Unilocaler and knew that I would have to visit after being told that it was Lebanese and French. When I was an undergrad student, my favorite bakery was French-Lebanese and had the best quiche and delicious pastries. They also had a lovely pistachio cream cake that my husband absolutely loved! Although it was bookmarked in my phone, I had difficulty reconciling the name of this bakery with its products because when I think of a bakery with the name Art, I think of a big guy from New York,(Arty), with a cigar hanging out of his mouth asking me what kind of jelly I want on my bagel! Weird! So after realizing that this is actually the name of the bakery, we entered to see what was available. To my dismay, there were no savory items at all, which means no delicious quiche! They also did not have any of the traditional french pastries that I love. This would be my husband’s kind of bakery because he loves it big and fancy. He orders a slice of chocolate mousse cake along with some of the baklava inspired pastries. I decide to try the simple cinnamon pound cake along with some of the baklava pastries. Everything was okay, just not my cup of tea. My husband enjoyed his cake and awarded it four stars. We obviously have different tastes. The lady working the counter was very sweet and helpful during our visit. If you like decadent treats and fancy cookies, you will love Art’s.

Just visited this place for the first time and I will definitely be back. The employees were friendly and eager to help. I’m a huge nut fan, so I went for the lady finger baklava, a walnut square and a piece of the pistachio cake, since there were so many raves about it in the reviews. Absolutely loved the baklava, but the cake wasn’t really my style. I was expecting it to be a bit sweeter since some Unilocalers said that it had buttercream icing, but it tasted like something whipped — and I hate whipped icing. Definitely not a bad cake, just a personal preference. I was, however, kind of disappointed that they didn’t have any significant pastry options. They sell some large eclairs that are decent, but don’t taste like anything extraordinary. As far as the baklava go, I will definitely try other varieties in the near future. The location is a bit strange(Asian, Asian, Asian, Asian-look, a French/Lebanese bakery… next to a Cajun restaurant!!! Oh, Asian, Asian, Asian…), but worth a trip.

Forget all them Asian bakeries, come here for yummy goodness. Seriously I was like I never heard of this place but it kept popping up since I have a sweet tooth. It is Lebanese own and has French influence goodness. Most Asian bakeries are French influence too but never had French influence from Lebanon. I’ve been to Mediterranean bakeries before but they mostly just have baklava as desserts. Honestly, at first look, it’s a really small café, I’ve been spoiled by Asian bakeries. Plus a lot of desserts were already sold out. I had to take what I could get. Even what was left was very limited quantity. The workers were extremely sweet & courteous and even took time to answer my questions are the desserts. I was more curious to try the French inspired sweets than the Mediterranean ones. I settled down for the chocolate success, almond success, chocolate rat, & napoleon. Honestly, these desserts are one of the best I’ve ever had. I love the crunchy and crispiness of the success desserts, definitely a success for me. My daughter and I kept talking about how it is one of the best desserts we’ve ever tasted. We want to go back and taste more. We love the sweetness factor of all the desserts. It’s sweeter than the typical Asian desserts(sometimes we don’t think it’s sweet enough) but not as sweet as Desi or American desserts. This is perfect! I really am going to get my birthday cake from them now since I love the texture. Cannot wait to come back. It may become my fave bakery in Atlanta.

I love this bakery a lot. All kinds of beautiful desserts — pastries, cakes, cookies, baklava. You can tell they put a lot of careful attention and love to every dessert they make — with great detail in the ingredients and presentation. And guess what? All the desserts are under $ 4! Portions are good too — definitely shareable and/or if disciplined, you can save some for later :) Art’s Bakery is a French Lebanese bakery that is oddly located in an Asian strip mall in the middle of nowhere on Satellite Blvd(between Steve Reynolds and Beaver Ruin) — with a random faux Eiffel Tower in the middle. Thanks to Unilocal otherwise I’d never have known about it — the 5 stars from Tuong Vi P, Katie H and other Elites attracted my attention too. The folks working here are super nice too. ALMONDSUCCESS — $ 3.35 Love all their desserts but this is my favorite of the favorites. I’m a big almond fan — toasted almonds, almond paste, almond anything. The flavors and textures won me over — there’s the chewy flaky layers(Katie H was spot on, comparing it a macaron), the cream that tastes like sweet butter, the white chocolate shavings, the toasted almonds. It reminded me of a Napolean. I would get this again in a heartbeat. BLACKFORESTCAKE — $ 3.90 This one is awesome too — it’s not your ordinary black forest cake. Fresh whipped cream — the cream layer had surprising bits of pear — so good! Their cakes are light too — very similar to the Korean cakes. CHOCOLATERAT — $ 2.45 Not crazy about the name but that face w/the pistachio ears, so cute you hate to eat it. We had a hard time trying to figure out what was inside — tasted familiar. I asked them in a subsequent visit and it’s apparently smashed up cake w/almonds, and then covered w/Belgian chocolate. Certainly a unique dessert. Taste wise though — i like their other desserts better :) MOCHACAKE — $ 3.50 Another good one, and the top layer is Belgian chocolate — yum. I’m amazed at my self-discipline — only ate half so I could have something to look forward to tomorrow :) LADYFINGERSBAKLAVA W/CASHEWS — $.65 They have all kinds of baklava but I just wanted a sample — I got the lady fingers and I loved it! Hint of rose water, sprinkled w/pistachios, not sure if I could taste the cashews but wow, I can imagine all their baklavas are very good. Overall love this latest discovery. Please check them out — they are exactly the kind of business that Unilocal is all about. They are a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere Satellite Blvd. Next time I want to try«Art’s Specialty» — I heard this is good too but they were sold-out.

Art’s is a hidden gem in the plaza with the fancy mini Eiffel Tower and I Luv Phở. I actually heard about this place because my cousin had recently ordered a custom made groom’s cake for his brother. I had tasted that cake and thought it was super delicious. I therefore decided to order my own custom groom’s cake for my brother who was getting married in June. I came in for a consultation and was able to basically give Art an image of what I wanted. It was a Patriot’s themed cake since my brother is a huge fan. I was able to order little Lego’s figurines and my own custom cake topper — I gave these to him to add on. On the day of the wedding, I had other family members pick up the cake for me as I had best man duties. The cake was brought out at the end of my speech and wow, he loved it! The cake looked absolutely amazing and was a huge hit with my brother and everyone else at the wedding. Not only that, but the cake tasted absolutely delicious. In terms of their other pastries, I’ve only tried the tiramisu which was also really delicious. I definitely recommend working with Art for any custom cake orders, or just stop by for a yummy snack!

My Food Spotting app certainly came in handy today! I flew into ATL and don’t have a car at my disposal, so I needed to find some yummy food that was within walking distance. Art’s Bakery was actually the very first thing to pop up. The pictures of they beautiful pastries won my heart immediately! So I was very happy to see that this bakery was an easy 1.5 miles away — the perfect walk for me! First let me say that the one guy working there was absolutely amazing! He was very friendly, very helpful and when he saw he learned that it was my first time, he insisted that I try two of the smaller cookies to sample! They were both absolutely delicious! But I have to say that I had far richer, creamier treats in mind… but it was so hard to choose! Everything looked divine! I eventually decided to go with two items I’d never seen anywhere else that seemed to be pretty popular based on other reviews I’d read — Chocolate Rat and Almond Success. As many pictures show, the rat is covered in a layer of dark chocolate. But what’s inside?!? I needed to know and no one could tell me in their reviews. Well, I’m happy to tell you. According to the man at the counter it’s white cake and chocolate cake mixed with almonds, which led me to believe there were layers of cake inside. Wrong. The inside of the rat was very much like the inside of a cake ball as far as consistency goes, but with some chopped almonds town in there for texture. The flavor was light and mild compared the sometimes disgustingly sweet cake balls you taste nowadays. This was a particularly good thing because it provided a perfect balance to the Almond Success. The Almond Success was another dessert I wanted to discover because, again, none of the reviews could tell me what in the heck it was! Not only did I post a picture of the inside, but I will also explain what’s going’ on in there. There are two layers of «cake». But this cake has the same chewy texture as a macaron. In between these cake-macaron things is a THICK layer of creamy icing. It had the flavor of almond, the intense sweetness of marshmallow fluff and the texture of the smoothest, creamiest butter ever. The whole thing is topped off with another layer of this icing. The sides are rolled in sliced almonds and the top is covered in white chocolate shavings. Put all these layers together and you have a spectacular treat — the chew from the cake, slight crunch from the almonds and light, melting creaminess. Lastly, their prices are crazy low!!! I’m pretty sure that nothing is over $ 4. This place is delicious and I can’t wait to try something else!

This review is based on the tiramisu I got. First of all, they are doing good, and maybe changed counters a little bit. The whole store looks brighter. When I went there in 2pm, half of the cakes are gone. The other half left, still looks delicious. I got tiramisu, since it’s a pain to bake it myself. The tiramisu had 5 layers, the mousse is soft and sweet, while the cakery layer is moist with espresso/coffee. Together, they made the taste delightful. Traditionally, the cakery layer should be made with ladyfingers, but most bakeries don’t do that because it’s hard to make, and takes time to bake. It would be awesome if they are made of lady fingers, and I would gladly gave them five-star. The price is good compare to those Korean bakeries. Georgia French bakery is a little better because they have better presentations.

After looking for a cupcake place that is open on Sunday, I came across Art’s Bakery. The website stated that they are open but upon my arrival I discovered that they decided to go on vacation. This place has been closed since January 1, 2015 and they will open again on January 10th. No cupcake for me! :(

The service was very good and friendly but what I ordered was just average. Maybe it was the day I was there but there weren’t many choices and didn’t quite live up to what I was hoping it would be. I can’t remember what I ordered but it was a small cake with a raspberry sauce on top. I will return and try something different. It’s worth another trip.

I like this place so much that I’ve visited it twice within a few days! I’ve passed this bakery many times but never paid much attention to it. I had dinner with my parents at I luv phở a few nights ago and my mom wanted to try this place out because my aunt had told her that it was good. We came here around 7 – 8 and there wasn’t anyone in there. There was still a pretty decent selection of pastries available. We decided to try the raspberry cookies, pistachio cookies, coconut cookies, a slice of pistachio cake, and an almond success. I mentioned to the man at the counter that it was our first time there. Since it was our first time there he offered us a deal on the croissants. He said that if we bought one we would get one free. I’m pretty sure he was just trying to get rid of the croissants but we still got suckered into buying one. Along with the rest of our goodies, we also got a cheese croissant and a thyme croissant. Everything was delicious. The almond success and the pistachio cake are my faves out of everything that I tried! The almond success is topped with shaved white chocolate and consists of layers of cream, almonds and a chewy layer. Everything about it is OMG so good! It sounds super sweet but it definitely wasn’t. If you like almonds and white chocolate, this treat is a definite must! The pistachio cake was also super delicious. The cake was light and moist and the cream was not too sweet which I like. The cream tastes like an Italian buttercream which is my fave! If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend checking this place out!

The best baklava I have ever tasted. Every time I am on this side of town I cannot help but come by and pick some up. Both the pistachio and the walnut baklava are out of this world. The chef, Art, and the employees are extremely friendly and helpful.

With each passing day, I enjoy living in Gwinnett county more and more. I come from New England and have been in the metro area about 6 years and planted my first seed in the South in Fulton county. Thought I wouldn’t leave, but here I am. This county is full of different ethnic flavors, which delights me beyond belief. Art’s Bakery is a place worth visiting, even if it lies outside your usual routes around town. This is a Middle-Eastern/French bakery, which may appear to be a strange combination, until you learn that the pastry chef/owner is Lebanese. To get the history, Google«French Mandate of Lebanon and Syria.» Okay, on to desserts. I have had the Raspberry Almond Cake, Pistachio Vanilla Cake, Baba Rhum, Art’s Specialty, as well as almost all the baklavas. I have gotten the rose petals filled with almonds, as well as the pistachio baklava squares/lady fingers and the cashew burma/bird nests. Everything is exquisite, which leaves me wondering how Chef Art can master both Middle Eastern and French pastry techniques so well. But I don’t wonder too long, I just go and pick up something and enjoy his talent. We are lucky to have this bakery in Duluth. You can be sure that if a similar quality bakery were located ITP, the prices would be more than double what Art’s Bakery charges for heavenly sweets. So stop by and have him fill up a box for you to take home.
