Good quick Korean fast food. I’ve only tried one item that’s the #5 omelette rice but it was delicious! They have variety of plates and all numbered with picture so you can see what your ordering. Comes with several small pickled sides. Looks weird but they were yummy.

Come here a lot for lunch time, the gentleman who serves me is very friendly and they give you large portions of food. Other Korean snack places will charge you more for lesser quality!

My fiancé and I decided to give Kuya the filipino place a try inside the Assi Plaza. Well the wait for our food there was sooooo long and I was so hungry that I started seeing stars(I don’t handle hunger well at all!) so I saw a sign that read, «korean snacks» so I figured I can walk over and grab something that can be prepared real quickly. I was greeted by a very friendly older man. I ordered the spicy ramen as he promised it could be done in about 5 minutes. He insisted on bringing it over to where we were sitting across the food court. How nice of him. As he promised it was done in about 5 minutes and it was soon comforting and delicious! Just a very simple ramen but very flavorful. It had eggs and onions in it and came with a small side of kim chee and bean sprout. I was surprised at how tasty it all was. His Kim chee really tasted home made and it was just how I love it– garlicky and very very sour! Just how my mom makes it for us. I wasn’t at a fluorescent-lit food court anymore. I was home on my couch on a cozy winter day. How lovely! I went back and asked for a to go box and instead of just hading me one he packed it all up for me! What a sweet man! I thanked him for being so kind and assured him I would see him again.

I ate the Rabokki which consists of Dukbokki and ramen, It was a big yummy portion! It is inexpensive for the amount of food you get and the man that took my order was very friendly! Definitely coming back!

I had a craving for katsu one night so we stopped by here since we had never tried this place and keep hearing how the katsu is cheap for the quantity and taste. They didnt lie. A very nice grandpa runs this store and he brings your food out fast and it is a lot of food, yummy, fresh, and cheap! The plate is as big as two adult heads! I had enough for lunch the next day! Gramps checked on us constantly which was very sweet of him even after a long day at work which I am sure he was exhausted but still working hard and making sure we had enough water and side dishes kept full. I really enjoyed the food and the grandpa was super super sweet and loving. I can’t wait to go back to eat here.

This place is located inside Assi Plaza in what some could consider their«food court». It’s right next to another Korean place that only has Korean letters and no American ones as well as a malaysian place called Sedap and adjacent to a Peruvian burger place. Just explaining where it is makes me feel appreciative about how much culture there is in just one little corner. We were about to eat at the Peruvian place when my friend Dijan spotted this Korean place and saw a rice cake dish that he really wanted. His rice cake dish with noodles tasted really warm, spicy, and awesome. I got chicken katsu. My dish on the otherhand wasn’t as good. The sauce didn’t do much for it and it tasted overcooked, hard, and lacking flavor. The owner was really nice though and our meals came with miso soup, kimchee, and some other Korean side dishes. The owner even refilled our kimchee little plates. For a farmer’s market food court place, it wasn’t horrible, but I also wouldn’t try it again.

LOVE this place. This is the new location that moved from satellite blvd. it is now in the assi plaza food court on pleasant hill rd. The ahjusshi is always so nice and has good customer service. The food somehow tastes even better to me now than when it was at the satellite location! I always order tonkatsu omelet combo so good! My kids love it and hubby does also!
