The sticky buns are outstanding! We were looking for a new local breakfast option and found this hidden right off CR1. Don’t let the possible wait for an available table deter you … totally worth it! We each enjoyed an omelet with home fries, very tasty. We will defiantly be back.

Finally decided to give this place a try after driving by time after time. Great food, generous portions, cozy atmosphere, super friendly staff. Bonnie herself waited on us and was very helpful, even got a coloring book and crayons for our daughter. We tried a sticky bun as suggested by others and it did not disappoint. Definitely recommend stopping in for breakfast here.

Love this place. Great food, personal service and specialty items you will appreciate if you’re from PA. Only bad thing about it is that they’re not open on Sunday. Try breakfast or lunch and you won’t be disappointed.

The pancakes are beyond amazing !! The staff is friendly and we’ve never had a bad meal. It’s a small and quaint restaurant . The prices are low and the portions quite enough. Not open on Mondays. Maria is a character and she can get the entire place, guests and all, to sing happy birthday.. Great way to wake up your kid on his birthday before school.

Mariea was a very very good waitress. She was very kind and told us foods she liked. Honestly the best waitress we have had since being here.

Bonnie’s is a breakfast place in Dunedin that makes one of the best sticky buns that I’ve ever had. It’s cheap also $ 2.95. What a bargain. I also tried the toast with dry gravy and hash browns as well. I ate to much today, but it was well worth it. Great food at low prices. I’ll definitely be checking out Bonnie’s again. Oh I forgot I was waited on by Bonnie herself. She is very sweet and quite personable.

Easy to miss, but food was well worth finding this little place. If you like old school breakfast, check this place out.

Nice little diner. Ordered the sausage and gravy over biscuits but they were out(it was about 1pm). Instead got their dried beef & gravy side of bacon over toast and it was good. Service was great. Inexpensive. Would go again to try the sausage & gravy and apparently the sticky buns the other reviewers rave about.

I come to Bonnie’s on every trip to Florida. Great food and a warm welcoming atmosphere. I always get the rope sausage and eggs and it’s delish ever time. Bonnie and Maria always make you feel at home with a welcoming hello and coffee practically before you sit down. You won’t be sorry if you want to get away from the big breakfast house and get great breakfast to start the day…

Great place, the lady who owns the place waits tables and new 90% of the people who walked in. Super friendly will remind you of home.

Clearly a «regulars» kind of place where locals walk in and everyone shouts«Norm!!». If you aren’t Cliff, Sam or Diane you may feel a little out of place at first but once we settled in it was fine. Part of the. weirdness for us was the setup — all four tops and no booths. I guess booths give newbies a sense of safety that sitting out in the middle of a room of strangers does not? There were two small tables outside but I’m not sure if they qualify as outdoor seating; they could have been smokers tables. I created my own no carb lunch with a no-bun cheeseburger and broccoli instead of fries. Dad ordered off the menu two poached eggs and oatmeal and our waitress didn’t bat an eye. Everything came out well prepared and tasty. Nothing wow but nothing ew either. The service was awkward at first, but got better as it went along. A solid café diner, not probably a place I would seek out or make an intentional drive to from Belleair, but if in the Dunedin area again and looking for a quick cheap lunch I wouldn’t balk at giving it another try. Our meals with coffee and soda(a full can with ice) was $ 13.46 .before tip.

Considering the other reviews were so great we had to give this local favorite a try; sadly we were less than pleased with our experience. The good: great welcoming attitude that gets better if you are a regular, I can easily see the draw to such an environment. The sticky buns are PHENOMENAL! My girlfriend was very impressed with her grits. The bad: the server seems to have some mental challenges which leaves her giving you very rude expressions when asked questions she has no answer to, but watching her interact with regular patrons I can see it’s not an intentional act but still leaves you feeling a bit uneasy. My girlfriends omelette was a great portion size but was lacking any flavor(spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes uncooked on top of the omelette) the tomatoes looked well over ripe. I opted for the sausage gravy over biscuits and homefries. I asked for crispy homefries and was given barely cooked homefries. Considering there was an option to have just gravy and biscuits with no sausage I expected to at least see the sausage in what I ordered… If there was sausage on my plate I never tasted it. We also ordered their famous sticky bun; we asked for one with raisins and was told«well ill give you one with nuts» my assumption is they no longer had any with raisins. Now it was AMAZING, but they are not kept in the kitchen where you would expect but up front uncovered on the side of a cooler… From our experience we received mediocre service and food, although I can see being a regular is very welcoming and friendly, I didn’t find a reason to ever go back.

We really enjoyed our breakfast, other reviewers were right about the servers being entertaining, they had fun with our table of 6. I had the eggs Benedict and a little cup of baked oatmeal. Everything was delicious my FIL didn’t like the Scrapple, but cei la vie who does? Very reasonable prices for a nice meal!

I come here for breakfast every morning, except Mondays. Everything is Pennsylvania Country style goodness. The prices are really reasonable but mostly this place is one of those places that makes you feel like you’re at home. Try the baked oatmeal. It is my favorite. Eggs Benedict is pretty %#$& good too.

Day/time of visit: weekend late breakfast/brunch Atmosphere: small, casual, family-owned Would have never even know this place existed had our neighbors not mentioned it — it’s hidden in a little strip mall set back off the road. This place is the epitomy of a family-owned restaurant — lots of regulars, homemade food, good value for the price, friendly service, unassuming, comfortable. I ordered biscuits and sausage gravy with home fries — huge platter of gravy covering 2 homemade biscuits and crispy chunks of real potato(not frozen) — delicious. BF ordered the Meat Lovers 3 egg omelette with home fries and english muffin. Our bill was $ 11 — great deal! Will definitely be back and probably try something off the lunch or daily specials menu. I saw a HUGE turkey club sandwich with real turkey meat and tons of fries, a HUGE plate of chicken wings, and the specials looked great — turkey, gravy, stuffing, + all the fixins and pork with kraut and applesauce — numm! And, now that I’ve read other reviews I will definitely have to get a sticky bun to go next visit. I believe it’s only open for breakfast/lunch(until 2 pm) and closed Sundays and Mondays(but don’t quote me!)

I don’t know who that disgruntled slandering employee(JAMES R.!) is but that previous review is a load! This is my third update and it’s purely to defend Bonnie’s! I’ve been eating here regularly for the past 21 months! Lately, I’ve actually had to get up earlier so I could make it in before it got too crowded. The service is fantastic! Bonnie, Amanda, and Maria all make you feel at home, give you great attention, and will kid you at your expense! AND every one of the regular patrons love it. Their good natured style makes Bonnie’s what it is, a great place to eat in the neighborhood! I still stand by the food and the way it’s prepared by Keith. We all love Bonnie and Keith. Just come by and try the best kept secret in Dunedin. You’ll find out yourself!
