History

Established in 1972.

Our Resort was established in January of 1972, by the Whalen Family, building it a little at a time until they had completed 240 sites, a clubhouse, 2 laundry/bath houses, a 9 room Hotel etc. They continued to own and operate this family oriented resort until Carefree purchased it in 2006. Carefree has continued to operate this resort as a family friendly, pet friendly resort. Carefree made a great deal of improvements over the past few years, which leads to what we enjoy today. We are 5 W rated with Woodalls, triple A rated with AAA, have a Superior Small Lodging designation with the highest rating possible, as well as the coveted White Glove Award, 6 years in a row.
