Today was my first time to Sushi and Thai. Didn’t have any of the service issues mentioned in other reviews, and it was very busy when we arrived. I had the Panang with beef and it was definitely to my liking. I’m looking forward to going back.

5 star rating for the food! We had chicken pad Thai, yellow Thai curry with chicken and brown rice and sunset fried rice. Everything was so delicious! I do have to say though, based on my brief encounter with the staff (we got takeout) there is something to be desired as far as friendly wait staff goes. I usually tip, even for takeout. But this time I didn’t. The bartender basically ignored me, grabbed the food and left it on the counter without even handing it to me, and pushed my receipt to sign without a word or smile. Oh well, hopefully next time it’ll be a 5 star experience :)

We have been going here since they opened. It had been a while since our last visit. It was 7 pm on a Friday night and the place was practically deserted. It took almost 20 minutes to get something to drink. The first thing I noticed was how dirty the place was. Counter at Hibachi was sticky and greasy, plates were not clean. The four tvs on the walls all had the wiring exposed like a dogs breakfast. The guy that did the hibachi was terrific. The food was tasty. I am giving them 2 stars because the food was good and everything else was not.

My wife and I are sushi addicts. We have been to every sushi restaurant in the Scranton area. This restaurant is our favorite because they serve consistently good, fresh sushi at a reasonable price. Some may argue that Blu Wasabi is better, but it is not that much better and it is way more expensive. Interior décor is pleasant and service is very good. The cooked Thai dishes are also very good.

I have eaten here before and in the past it has been very good, but last visit was a different story. One waitress for the entire back room, took 25 minutes to even put a food order in was not told anything about the restaurant for newcomers or specials for that evening. Finally after an hour wait we got our food which was cold for all 8 of us. Not one person ate their meal and was never asked why. For the price the entire party was extremely disappointed.

Where’s the staff? There is a lot of waiting for the very nice wait staff at this place day or night. Which is an interesting approach considering the food is hit or miss. When its good… its really good. However, I had some «Thai» take out that was inedible. Satay burned on one side and raw on the other and PadThai that was flavored completely wrong (different than any other time I’ve ordered from them). That which IS consistent about Sushi & Thai is you’re always waiting.

Their Thai food is really good and so is their sushi. Normally a restaurant really excels at one or the other but I like both a lot.
They have really good sushi specials so try them and also get a boba tea (either version with or without the coconut milk) of course!

Simple place, not an appealing outside, but the interior was nice. We went here during a pit stop driving back from the finger lakes trip. Food was good, the special rolls were a bit expensive I think for that area, tried a piece from my friend and it tasted good.
I personally ordered the Spicy Tuna and Salmon Avocado roll. They tasted good, nothing too special but wasnt expecting anything crazy.
I also ordered a beef satay appetizer and that was surprisingly tasty and good portion. I was very happy about that and would order that again if I was in that area.
Overall I had a good experience with the place. This definitely beats going to a fast food joint during a stop.

As an Asian-​American, I have been to my fair share of hibachi places. I cannot vouch for the sushi or thai food because I have not tried them, but whenever I come here, I get the hibachi combo, such as the filet mignon & shrimp. I absolutely love the way they make the fried rice, the taste of the suaces, and the softness of the meats. For the hibachi combos, it does range around the $ 20s

I ordered the green river sushi roll. It was pretty good! I also order a soba noodle dish with vegetables. It was tasty but kind of greasy and had Chinese flavor. Almost taste like Lo mein. So i was disappointed being that it is a Thai sushi joint.

We ate here for lunch a few weeks ago while visiting some friends in Scranton.
Their lunch portions are small, so get dessert or the entrée portion. I had the tofu pad see ew and an Almond Bubble Tea. Bubble tea was way too sweet, but their balls were soft and squishy. ¡Me gusta! My noodles were oily but tasty nonetheless. The restaurant has more of a diner feel, but it’s clean, quiet, and makes you forget that you’re eating in a strip mall. The bathroom is cold so bundle up ladies!
Skip dessert and go next door for ice cream.

Love the food here and they always have amazing new specials.
My only problem whenever we get take out they say 15 minutes then the next thing you know you still waiting for your food for another 15 minutes AFTER you show up five minutes late to play it safe since this is not the first time its happened, more like the 8th. Get your take out right and this place would be 5 star for sure!
