My girlfriend and I went there while hiking in the Poconos. I was surprised that a small place in the middle of the strip mall was so excellent. I didn’t expect much considering the low prices but was pleasantly surprised.

We were traveling in Poconos area and were glad that we chose Oishi. It’s a small and neat place. High quality sushi, fresh and delicious. Their price is quite good for the quality of food you got. Highly recommended, better than many more expensive sushi places.

Quick service and a lot of food for the money! I got three(basic) sushi rolls for $ 10 which is unheard of. They were yummy!

This is my first sushi experience in Scranton and I’m very happy I chose Oishi. The restaurant is simple with a small, family run feeling. Just a handful of tables and a bar that seats 5. Reminds me of a family restaurant back home I would visit with my father to sit at the bar and chat with the staff. Owners children were playing and watching their iPads-which I don’t mind because it makes me feel like I’m a guest in their home. Sushi was on par and for a very reasonable price. I tried the Oishi roll which caught my eye due to a ton of mango in and on top of the roll with salmon. Sushi app was good but I’d prefer to stick to their rolls next time.

Had some fresh sushi today including tuna, octopus, salmon, and a seaweed salad. Order was ready to go upon my arrival and sushi as good as any I’ve had in Nepa. Service was very good. Would recommend for takeout only tho; as place smells like sesame oil …

Really good sushi for really great prices. They just recently opened and apparently the owner worked at another local sushi place before saving up enough money to start his own business. It’s a little farther than Osaka but the prices are much cheaper.
