I’ve been going to the 99 for years and have never been disappointed. All The severer’s I’ve encountered recognize me and are very helpful in agreeing to what I’d like to have no matter what the standard offering is, «Of course you can» is a great start to an evening of dinning out. The food is always good and your drink is made the way you like it. The atmosphere is friendly from the moment you walk through the front door, so go today and be prepared to have a good time.

If you want a quick in and out sit at the bar, the service is good the price point for salads, sandwiches or wraps are $ 8.50 — $ 10 and dinners on average are $ 14. Over all, the 99 R&P does a very consistent job no matter which location you choose. I believe they more than hold their own against the independents in their food-service category which I would define as elevated Pub Grub or Tavern Fare. I rarely sit in the restaurant so I can’t comment on the service there but my experiences have always been positive when dining at the bar. If you can’t decide what you want to eat, the 99 menu has a little something for everybody, you’ll find it’s tasty and won’t clock your pocketbook.

As far as casual restaurants go this was good. Each dish was yummy, as most fried foods are. I got the chilli which was actually really good. The crispy chicken salad is also quite tasty. They frequently have coupons so that makes it even more worth while. If you want to go out, but don’t have a specific craving this is a good place to go since they have a little bit of everything on the menu.

Being from Boston I am extremely familiar with the 99 chain. I recently tried this location again on s Sunday evening. I was shocked and dismayed at the service of lack thereof that I had inflicted upon me. The bartender, no excuseme the person behind the bar would be a more appropriate nome de guerre for the surly inhospitable young lady who greeted me. It was obvious to me that if you seek a location on a Sunday night avoid this spot. First off, the bar personal start closing at about 8pm and God help you if you happen to amble in and disrupt their closing routine. You’ll get served but quite honestly you’ll also get shunned, chagrinned and made to feel inconsequential. That being the case, do yourself a solid and avoid the bar at the 99 in East Longmeadow on Sunday night because the bar staff is more attuned to a quick exit, an early close and paying customers be damned! As the saying goes, if I want to get bitched at, I’ll go home

After eating here a few years ago and being thoroughly disgusted after finding a dead fly in my salad I promised never to return. The manager was very apologetic and comped our whole meal, but that lasting memory haunted me. While in East Longmeadow today, I decided to use a $ 15 gift card for 99 that’s been in my wallet forever. Still thinking about that fly, and still uneasy, I entered The Ninety-Nine. Our waiter was a socially awkward lad, but still delivered decent albeit nervous service. However, he was lacking the required thirty pieces of flare designated by management. The interior changed a bit since my last visit. A wall was taken down and all the local sports pictures removed to make way for professional sports team pictures. We ordered the boneless buffalo wings which were pretty good. I had the BBQ burger which came out medium-rare, and then I realized the waiter never asked me how I wanted it cooked. I still ate it, and hopefully I won’t get a tapeworm. My wife the fish & chips. The verdict: burger was decent and I’d get it again. Coleslaw was dry and bland. The wings were the highlight. Fish & chips were mediocre, with the fish batter being extremely salty, and the fries being salt less. This place gives me the odd feeling as if I’m eating in the actual restaurant the movie«Waiting» was filmed in. It seems so cliched and fake, like there’s some hidden joke I’m not in on. If I happened to look in the kitchen and seen Luis Guzman doing«The Goat» I wouldn’t even be surprised.

I know it’s a chain but, really, they could be better. Our waitress was friendly and aimed to please but the food was just mediocre at best. Everything tasted either boxed, canned or frozen. Fiesta grilled chicken salad had weird aftertaste from chicken & pineapple. Tomato was a grilled barely ripe Roma. Sparse sprinkling of cilantro, beans and corn. Never found enough vinaigrette to judge its flavor. Broccoli cheddar soup tasted like creamy canned. Kids had chicken tenders and fries… nothing fancy there. Sam’s Octoberfest was outstanding on tap. Improve the quality of the food you’re putting out with a good wait staff already there and it’ll be a good thing for everyone.

It is a standard Americana style restaurant. My party all had average meals with nothing particularly noteworthy. The staff was friendly and took good care of us. I don’t have a complaint, but there was nothing special about it.

I haven’t heard many good reviews of this place, but I’ve been there a few times and each experience was a positive one. You get as much free popcorn as you want before your meal comes. They’ve even got those cream-based soups I love so much. Most restaurants don’t have seafood chowder etc. They have bubble green tea as well. Who else has that? I really like the staff and how they talk to you like you’re a friend instead of just a customer. It’s dark and cool inside with a bunch of TV’s.

I don’t understand why people like this place so much. I understand this is a chain so I am not expecting Le Bernardin, but I feel like this place has poor quality compared to other chains. Half of the meals I have ordered come overcooked, the sides still have the taste of the can they came from. Dollar for dollar I would recommend you go other places, but if you are traveling and don’t feel like venturing to the local restaurants at least this place will provide a place to consume some calories.

What can I say, it is a way of life in MA and CT to go to the 99. New menu rollout has some refreshing new things to enjoy.

Um… let’s just say it was less than mediocre. The waitress was nice and helpful and that was the best thing about the restaurant. Everything else… MEH. First of all, they serve POPCORN for your appetizer. Hmmm… Secondly, the food isn’t that great and they take a pretty long time to make it. But the ice tea was decent and they did give us a $ 5 coupon because it was our first time. Yay. So, yeah. That’s about it. Not too exciting.

One of our favorite places to go out to eat! We’ve always had friendly waitstaff and the food’s always been excellent! Want to try something great? Go for the filet mignon. That was the most tender piece of beef I’ve ever had. It also came topped with bleu cheese and a dollop of applewood smoked bacon butter with grilled asparagus on the side and some french fries dusted with powdered Parmesan cheese. It was a bit pricey, but it was delicious! You also can’t go wrong with their smothered tips and the gold fever wings are excellent as well. Make sure you give one of their special beverages, such as the pomegranate iced tea a try!
