I haven’t visited the shop but recently got to taste one of their ice cream cakes and it was delicious! I work in a restaurant and a table brought in one of their cakes for a birthday celebration. They offered the leftovers to the staff and I was lucky to get a taste as I only found out about this when i happened to open the door to the walkin freezer to see a circle of waitresses huddled over it with their forks! Needless to say they were loving it and I had to have a bite myself. It was delicious and at half the price of a Coldstone cake. Happy to have discovered J B’s and looking forward to supporting another local business!

JB’s is a fantastic ice cream shop. They make all they’re own ice cream in the back of the store, and their hot fudge is made there too. I really love that they have a rotating ‘adult’ flavor; the White Russian ice cream is excellent, as is Mud Slide. Their best flavor has to be Mud Pie though. It’s great. To offer one critique, their waffles cones, which are also made in store, are a bit think. Excellent taste, but more crunchy than crispy; and I prefer my cones to be crispy.

JB’s ice cream has been around for along time, 1986 to be exact. It has outlasted many of the Friendly’s locations that have closed, and remains open even with the popularity of frozen yogurt shops opening everywhere. I’ve been coming here off and on since I was a kid, and nothing has changed, except the flavors. They are constantly revolving new flavors, and adding seasonal ones such as the peppermint stick I had last night. Two things that are hard to find nowadays are homemade ice cream on a homemade waffle cone. They have milkshakes, fudge, sherbet, sorbet, Italian ice, sundaes, ice cream, and even an ice cream eating challenge. Everything is homemade, except for the toppings. The prices are higher than Friendly’s down the street, but also don’t include the artificial crap Friendly’s adds to their ice cream. Two JB’s scoops on a waffle cone will surely be enough, the scoops are pretty decent in size. Overall, the ice cream is very good, and I will always be a customer.

The ice cream here was mediocre and boring. Not exceptionally well priced for a neighborhood ice cream place either. We won’t be going back.

Thanks to Unilocal,we stumbled across this place, and we were lucky to do so! This is some primo — delicious home — made ice cream and sherbet! My kids got the black raspberry and watermelon sherbets; I got a scoop of the black cherry and of the grape nuts. They were so smooth and creamy. We don’t live near here, but we’d surely come back if we are in the area. They will let you try sample bites to help you narrow down the yummy choices.

This ice cream shop is AWESOME. They have loads of flavors and unlimited samples! ALL of it is homemade which is pretty amazing. They’re scoops are really big for the price and it fills you up quick. Lots of the reviews talk up the«adult flavor» which deserves another honorable mention in this review as well. It was«a White Russian» flavor. It takes EXACTLY like it right down the the little bite of the alcohol. Other flavors worth mentioning are Chocolate Malt, Banana Supreme, Mud Pie, and Chocolate Cake Batter. I recommend mixing the cake batter and White Russian. It’s super yummy. I am sure all the other flavors are just as good but I couldn’t try them all in one go so do yourself a favor and make a point to try their ice cream. It’s well worth it! Also, this place takes credit cards too :)

We were visiting the Springfield area a week back and in need of some ice cream. We stumbled across this strip plaza and found JBs. We have many ice cream shops in the NH area but we have not experienced the pure delight that this shop had to offer. All my kids gave this place 2 thumbs up and my wife and I really enjoyed the place. I tried the adult flavor– Mudslide– TODIEFOR!!! We will be back next time we’re in the area!

After a long and grueling couple hours of bowling, my partners in crime and I needed some refueling. Since we were in E. Longmeadow we decided to stop in JBs since I remembered coming here when I was younger and have nothing but fond memories. I was then tasked with choosing a flavor… oh, but how to choose just one… a couple tastings might be in order… chocolate? …no, my default flavor, have to be a little more adventurous than that! hmm… ‘adult flavor’? interesting… white russian… …sampled. white russian indeed! but not the choice for today I think. heavenly hash? do I even want to know? …sister sampled it. chocolate and caramel-ly. good but not for me. chocolate moose? …another sample, I think I’ve found my choice. Final verdict? scoop of oreo and a scoop of chocolate moose on a chocolate-dipped cone with sprinkles. Sugar overload? …yes Worth it? …definitely! As we sat there devouring our delectable treats, we took notice of a challenge on the wall: The ‘Avalanche Challenge’ 1 person, 1 hour: 12 scoops of ice cream 6 toppings whipped cream nuts and a cherry As we continued eating… our minds wandering… contemplating the possibilities… ‘well… it’s possible… you’d have to pick the right toppings… not too many sauces or it’d be too soupy… hmm… return trip in the summer to give this a try??‘ Now nearing the end of our cones, sugar overload kicking in… we start to question the feasibility. Definitely not today, but maybe one day… maybe if the prize were more than a t-shirt… If it isn’t already obvious… this place is a worthwhile stop. Place was empty today(probably because it was about 20 degrees with snow covering the ground) but I remember it packed in the summer months. Oh and they also sell house-made fudge!
