From beach cruisers bikes to BMX bikes to time trial triathlon bikes and road bikes, kids bike Competitive Edge has it all. Excellent customer service great place to buy bikes and skis and snowboards and gear. Staff is amazing, helpfully, friendly, and honest. Pricing is very competitive and fair. Bike mechanics are quick and efficient. A Special shout out to Patrick who is working with me on Trek Speed Concept 2016 purchase. Also thank you to Glen for spending a generous amount of time with me an my amazing new bike fitting. My Cérvelo P3 is riding significantly better after that adjustment. A++++ Thank you.

«Excuse me can you stop talking to your coworker long enough for me to spend my money?» This is the place I only go when I absolutely have to because it’s near my house. I’ve had multiple awful, awful customer service experiences. I’m guessing this is a management issue. There are a few great employees who helped me with my bike and had given great advice, but avoid the owner-looking guy. I’ve gone in and stood in front of him while he berates employees for five minutes before he paused to let me ask for help with a grimace on his face. Its not the kind of place where they seem to want your business. You have to interrupt them to get help and it’s just an awkward place. The prices are average, typical mainstream brands. I only buy parts there when I don’t want to wait for shipping, but I honestly dread going in every single time.

Took in a wheel to simply have a cog/lockring put on and tightened. When i went back to pick up the wheel, they told me the Dura Ace lockring didnt fit on a formula fixed hub. lock rings are universal fit even though they insisted it didnt fit. The reason it didnt fit was because they had managed to strip the first threads on the hub and wouldnt own up to it. Will definitely not bring anything back here to be serviced.

If you’re in the market for a bike and are looking for a personal shopping experience, Competitive Edge is definitely the place to visit. The employees are all avid bikers and really know what they are talking about when it comes to everything related to biking. Two years ago, I came to buy a new road/mountain bike mainly to use on paved trails or the street. The employee that helped me, Ricky, was extremely helpful and allowed me to try many different bikes before choosing the Trek model that I ultimately bought. Ricky was very patient, especially since I had many, many questions about the differences between several bikes. After purchasing your bike, you can bring it back within 30 days for a free tune-up to make sure everything is working properly. I would strongly recommend doing this, especially since it is free. Since then, I come back at least once a year for a regular tune-up to ensure the longevity of my bike. Inside the store itself, there are obviously many floor models of the bikes as well as various accessories, clothes, and sunglasses. Their prices are reasonable, if a little higher than you might pay at a «chain store», but you really should be coming here for the service. They also have seasonal sales, which is a great time to get a bike– a friend bought an $ 800 Specialized bike for around $ 350. In addition to all of that, they also organize group rides on trails around the area. I can’t say enough about this store!(I don’t really know much about their skiing selection, as I’ve never come here for that)

I have purchased everything from skis and snowboards to road bikes at Competitive Edge. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about their products and proved to be helpful. However, some people tend to be «too»: into their products and thus tend to become a little snobby when recommending lower tier stuff. Still, Comp Edge is a great place to purchase equipment for gear all year round.

We went in for a new snowboard and bindings for our daughter. The staff member who worked with her Washington knowledgeable, fun and very helpful. The whole experience was fantastic!

In my opinion this place defines the bike shop experience, passionate employees who not only enjoy what they do but want you to have a positive experience as well. I have purchased several bikes here and they have always been there to help me if I have any problems. They have even gone as far as to do some basic fitting and a free tuneup with a bike purchase. I recommend that you stop by and pick a few brains and perhaps pick up a few goodies… I can’t leave this place without buying something…
