History
Established in 1992.
Our house was built in the 1840′s by Captain Leek, in the tiny, tranquil, hamlet of East Marion and established as Quintessentials Bed and Breakfast and Spa in 1992. The location is perfect as a midway point between the historic, seaport Village of Greenport and the restored landmark Village of Orient. Quintessentials is listed on the Long Island Society for the Preservation of Antiquities (LISPA) as a fine example of a sea captain’s house. Graced with fine architectural details, including a magnificent Widow’s Walk cupola, ornate gingerbread trim, and hand-carved corbels, today, our East Marion bed and breakfast is a meticulously restored manor offering 21st century amenities and comforts.
