Jim was terrific coordinating our whole deck job — power washing and painting a large deck that looked so decrepit and now looks brand new. Danny (powerwasher) and Carlos (painter) were thorough and answered all of our questions. They were very responsive and responsible. Carlos was so careful with the painting and very patient with a job that took longer than any of us expected. I would recommend the company highly.

When I purchased my house it had a lot of potential, which was largely covered in grime. The continuous hardwood floor throughout the living room, hallway and bedrooms was no exception, suffering from deep staining, scratches and overall long term neglect. One room had carpet padding adhered to the floor that was so old it turned to dust when you tried to remove it.
I called SOS Flooring Solutions who gave a very reasonable estimate and ended up replacing a portion of the subfloor, then sanding and refinishing existing hardwood floors and replaced missing saddles. The portion that was replaced was done flawlessly, and the floor looks beautiful with the stain Jim recommended. Even though I wasn’t living in the house yet when the work was done, Jim gave me a schedule for each step and stuck to it. The kitchen was draped before the work was done to contain any mess, and the house was left perfect.
I wish I had photos of how ratty the floors looked to start as a comparison. The floor looks great and has gone a long way towards the new look of the house.

SOS Flooring recently resurfaced my mother-in-law’s hardwood floors. The crew was professional and pleasant. They cleaned up after themselves so well that you’d never know they were there. I can’t tell you how happy our family is with the floors. Jim is a hands-​on owner and is incredibly reasonable with pricing. Our family would keep recommending him, in fact our cousin used SOS at his business with the same rave reviews.

When I find a contractor I like, I tend to stick with them and use them for multiple jobs. SOS Flooring Solutions has done three different types of work in my house on four different occasions, and I have been more than happy with the service each time.
On two occcasions, they cleaned my carpets. They were able to get out resistant stains, get the pile to stand up again after years of compression by heavy furniture, remove pet odors and leave the carpeting looking brand new. I had been resistant to using a carpet cleaning service because in the past, I’ve used other contractors who have left my carpets looking like a wet dog, which was much worse than they were to begin with. I will certainly continue to use SOS Flooring Solutions for carpet cleaning, because the experience was so much better with them. The men who came to do the work moved all the furniture for me, and did so with great care to make sure nothing was damaged. Afterward, they inserted plastic guards under the furniture to make sure that the carpets didn’t get stained as they were drying.
I had my bathroom tile and grout steam cleaned and resealed by SOS. That was another very positive experience. The crew had been slightly delayed due to an accident, but instead of canceling or rescheduling my job, they came and stayed until the job was finished, even though someone else might have quit midway. Ultimately, the bathroom came out looking like it had been re-​tiled. There was no trace of the mildew that I had been unable to scrub out, no matter what I tried, and the sealant made the grout color look birant and new.
Finally, I have a ceramic tile floor on the ground level of my house that overlaps the original house and an extension. Settling of the extension caused the tile to come loose, raise up and cause a tripping hazard. The owner of SOS, Jim Berardi came over and took a look and told me what would be involved in preparing the underfloor and repairing the tile. I agreed with the plan and the job was done beautifully, on time, and just as promised.
I have recommended Jim and the crew at SOS Flooring Solutions to friends and family, and they are all as happy as I am with their service. I highly recommend this company.
