This is one on the most slept on restaurants in the city. The food is amazing with large portions, the prices are very good and you can tell management really cares about the business. I have’t had a bad menu item yet. If you’re in to cajun food do yourself a favor and give Louisiana Bistreaux a try.

While attending a conference at the Holiday Inn across the road, we stopped in here for dinner. Missing the tastes of last year’s trip to NOLA, it was difficult to decide what to order, but in the end, I was hankering for the style of fried shrimp that simply doesn’t exist in my part of the world — the light dusting of mildly spiced breading, quickly fried so shrimp are still juicy but the coating is crisp and not greasy. What arrived did not disappoint. Finished every shrimp on the plate. The diced, fried, and seasoning-sprinkled new potatoes were a pleasant accompaniment, as was the lemon jalapeño coleslaw, which was nice and tangy — and different. Wish we had an opportunity to try other dishes before we departed Atlanta. Friendly and prompt service. Score: shrimp: 5 stars, sides: 4 stars, service: 5 stars.

Eat here This was the most amazing food and great service. We had the barbecue shrimp and we had grouper Poncha train and we split the food and it was perfect amount. We also had the iceberg lettuce wedge and it had the best dressing. The beer was cold, the service was good, and the carrot cake and then yeas for dessert topped it all off

Atmosphere is nice and service was great. Shrimp étouffée was good and so was the crab/corn chowder. Grouper and grits and spinach was good too. Hearty portions!

Too many good things to say about this place. 1. Great customer service. 2. Great location(right next to the airport). 3. The food was amazing! 4. The prices were very reasonable. Only bad thing was the balsamic dressing. It was soooooo disgusting. It had a weird sweet flavor. I hated it. Other then that, I will definitely be back!

I ordered the crab cake and shrimp and grits, the crab cake lacked flavor but the shrimp and grits were good. The food was alright but our server was horrible.

The service was kind of slow — it look almost until our food to come out to get our drinks– but the staff was very friendly and great! I ordered the coconut shrimp and salmon burger. Both were ahh-mazing! This restaurant did not disappoint! I would highly recommend this place.

Need a change of pace for the typical airport lunch? Give these folks a try. I ate at the bar and had a couple glasses of Monday Night Brewery from the tap, the whole/split fried okra appetizer, and the fried catfish po boy entrée. I found both eats to be satisfying fare. The catfish was twice as big as the hoagie that is was served on, which is always a plus, and the potatoes on the side were magnificent. I will eat there again. On a side note, the area of the restaurant where I was seated kind of smelt bad. I don’t know the issue and I can’t describe the smell, but I was able to get used to it and not focus on it, so it is what it is.

This place is amazing. Crawfish etoufee was simply amazing. If you don’t like spicy food… Don’t order it. Wedge salad was great. Gumbo was over the top good. Again, very good Cajun spice/taste. A++++++

This restaurant is located in East Point and is not far from the airport. I first heard of this restaurant from a good family friend of mine. I asked him for some good recommendations for Creole/New Orleans style restaurants in the Atlanta area and Louisiana Bistreaux was the first name to come out of his’ mouth. So, I went with him for dinner one evening and I ordered their seafood platter. It consisted of deep fried catfish, shrimp, and oysters. For approximately $ 17, it was delicious and well worth every single penny in my opinion. It came with cole slaw and I wasn’t too thrilled with the cole slaw. Their cole slaw has a kick to it, and by kick, I mean it tasted spicy. I have never had Cole slaw that tasted spicy before, so that was my first time. I’ve also had their fried okra appetizer as well. I will say that it was delicious and cooked to perfection in my opinion. I’ve also tried their jambalaya and their jambalaya is simply the best that I have ever had. Their jambalaya has the perfect consistency as well as the perfect spicy Cajun flavoring to it that made me and had me coming back for more. The sausage and shrimp used it their gumbo were large, tender, and juicy. I’ve also had their seafood and sausage gumbo. Their gumbo was also delicious and I loved the Cajun sausage that they use for their gumbo. I have also had their salmon burger. Their salmon burger consisted of a thick salmon patty sandwiched between two seasoned buns. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of their salmon burger at all. Their salmon burger simply lacked the flavor I was looking for which is a touch of lemon and that grilled flavor that I was looking for and hoping for. On a plus side, their Crawfish Combo was truly amazing and did come with rice. The succulent and juicy crawfish was spiced to perfect as well as cooked to perfection. I did also enjoy the soupy sauce that it was covered and surrounded by. The smell of it alone was just absolutely amazing and wonderful. The portions are plentiful and huge. Every single time I come here, I generally and usually always have leftovers to take home to eat for the next day. The interior has a nice classic New Orleans feel and vibe to it. It is also spacious with ample seating. Their patio also contains plenty of seating as well. I enjoy looking at all of the vintage New Orleans related posters that are on the walls of their main dining area while I eat my meal. Their service is also absolutely spectacular. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful, courteous, as well as quick. Beverages are always refilled in a timely manner as well. OVERALLRATING: Service: 5⁄5 Food: 4⁄5 Location: 5⁄5 Atmosphere: 5⁄5 Cleanliness: 5⁄5

I thought this place was pretty good for lunch. It was not very full when I came in on Sunday, and it has a bit of a seafood smell when you walk in, but I had read the reviews and glad that I checked it out. I ordered the shrimp po boy and after a splash of some Louisiana hot sauce, I was really pleased. The sandwich was loaded with fried shrimp that had tons of flavor, the bread was perfect and the potatoes it was served with were pretty good too. I wanted to try some gator… but I’ll probably save that for next time.

Located right by the airport, I have driven by here many times and missed out on a pretty good spot until now. Came in on a rainy Monday night and was happily greeted by hostess and had an extremely friendly waitress. The music and decorations has you in the bourbon street feeling. Minus a degree of authentic-ness… They have a pretty awesome menu with lots of Cajun options to choose from and I found myself torn between the many different options which sounded amazing. You can go with the Jumbo shrimp or Oyster po-boy which has been adjusted with inflation to around the $ 11 mark or go with the special items for the $ 25-$ 30 mark which are the grilled fish or the fried combos and did I mention they have jumbo shrimp shrimp. I went with the grilled redfish with jumbo shrimp and the grits in place of dirty rice. The flavor was pretty good, but the shrimp were not really«Jumbo» only the flavor and taste of the grits was pretty spot on. The cost was a little high for what you get, but I could see myself repeating…

Wow. I mean, what a transformation! This place used to be an okay Italian restaurant. Now that they’ve switched to a Louisiana feel and food, it is absolutely amazing! The management and staff are still the same(which I’m grateful for– they were always great!), but the menu is completely revamped. I had the 1 lb crawfish, the Parmesan garlic and butter oysters(which were unbelievably fresh), and a chocolate cake for dessert. To drink I tried their Sauvignon Blanc, which also was really tasty. The crawfish and the oysters were very flavorful. Prices do change though, depending on the market. My waitress was very attentive and incredibly accommodating and kind. I agree with another review that this place outshines Spondivits now. Much better quality and better prices!

This place has some real cool New Orleans vibe going on here with gumbo, gator bites, and abita beer. We were here for lunch and I tried their gator bites and special po boy of the day: flounder. Both were great; the gator bites were crispy but still chewy and paired nicely with the dipping sauce. The flounder was not overly fishy tasting and had a that nice Cajun seasoning to it. The po boy was served on a flaky french bun and soaks up all the good juices from all the toppings and meat.

New go to for Seafood Gumbo– bowl was hearty and perfectly spiced. Would make a comforting meal in itself with lots of lump crab and andouille. Gator Bites were perfectly fried– tender and served with an amazing dipping sauce. It is their own gator sauce and a spectacular flavor combination. It does have some Orange Marmalade in it that definitely elevates it to amazing heights. The Jalapeño Cole Slaw is a must try– how in the world did this come about and really??? Have me bragging about coleslaw??? Prices are a bit high and for me to mention that it is rare. Our Grouper Orleans was just okay for over $ 25. Sharing an entrée, gator bites and bowl of gumbo, 2 drafts each($ 6.50 each with no price on menu) was $ 81 before tip. We will come back for gumbo — hands down! Maybe lunch next time as we are in the airport area often… Megan as a server definitely warrants a visit.

I would say that this place is great. Overall the ambiance, the courtesy of the staff, and the food is all great deal. I wasn’t crazy about the food, but probably most because of a personal not so good predisposition for southern cousin. Prices are a bit higher than they should, maybe. Nice restaurant, and open later than others!

The food was great and so was the service. We came in about an hour before closing since we just checked into out hotel room and decided to sit at the bar since the place was pretty dead and originally planned on just having a few drinks. I’m not sure what my wife got but she loved it and I had the fried seafood platter. I can tell it was fresh but nothing to rave about. The Jalapeño cole slaw was good but man was it spicy! I had enough for leftovers the next day and it was good as breakfast :)

I will start by saying I am a tough critic of Louisiana style establishments. That said, the food is a solid 3 stars but slightly different than traditional Louisiana style dishes. Service was very good so I am rounding up to 4 stars overall. Here’s what I liked most: — the décor — the service — the seafood offerings — it’s location; super close to Hartsfield airport — regular salads can be ordered in half sizes; loved the grilled shrimp salad served with raisins, pecans, eggs, spinach and creole mustard vinaigrette. Here’s what I least liked: — the side items with each entrée. The dirty rice and corn maque choux were underwhelming and very different than the real things. Popeyes dirty rice is better restaurant rice IMO. This rice was rather mushy and less flavorful. — seafood entrée pricing — noticeably absent from the menu; every other section has pricing. Why not state it is market price? Most ppl visit for seafood entrees and should not have to guess about costs. Average seafood entrée is $ 12.99 — $ 26.99.

Goodness, me! This is the spot! I love the décor. The ambiance. The service. The food. We had a mad craving for catfish, and I was also very much desiring Louisiana-style cuisine. Luck be with us – I have not heard of nor have I ever seen Louisiana Bistreaux. Apparently, this was an Italian restaurant, up until January 2015, when it was converted to a cajun restaurant. No renovation, though, just a change in decorations and a menu change. We were promptly seated by Curtez. Folks, request his service. He has a smooth, gentle demeanor. He seems quite acrid, but he’s actually quite charming. Darling man. We hadn’t even ordered our food and we were already determined that we would return as soon as possible. The menu is quite lovely. Servings include oysters, gumbo, chowder, salads(they have a Sriracha chicken Caesar even), bourbon maple chicken, ribeye, pork chops crab cakes, different etouffees, shrimp and grits, grilled fish and several po boys. For dessert, there’s bread pudding, carrot cake, pecan praline cheesecake and more. We went with the coconut shrimp appetizer, the catfish plate, the catfish po boy and a cup of the crab meat and corn chowder. Decadent! It seems everything — including the sauces and bread — is made on site. Very fresh and bursting with flavor. The chowder had a nice balance, and you could actually taste the corn. That was surprising. Usually the flavor of the corn is lost in chowder. Also, the tartar sauce had more of a refreshing lemon taste, not the heavy mayonnaise flavor too common with such sauces. Curtez was even kind enough to bring us a cup of the gumbo — he’d given it a huge endorsement — and also a side of red beans and rice, which were cooked perfectly leaving no chalky bean flavor. And portion sizes were huge! There was enough food left over — after the modest $ 40 price tag — for dinner for two. Yes, Louisiana Bistreaux. You’ve impressed us. We look forward to the day we return!
