For the prices this is a gem! Homemade food all around. I have been searching Syracuse for homemade meatballs for a month. Today I found them here at this gas station food counter. Perfect and delicious meatball sub. I really think that little old Eastern European woman behind the counter knows her stuff!!!

Recently popped here on my lunch break to give them a shot. I had always seen this place while driving by on Fly Rd and from the outside, it doesn’t exactly scream«come on in for lunch». However, due to some fine fellow Unilocalers, I saw it had a couple positive reviews and wanted to see what they had. This market has a nice full deli counter, a hot food area, and plenty of drinks, chips, candy, and your other small grocery items. Salads looked good, deserts looked good, and I’m happy to report my turkey sub was excellent. The price was right(about 8 bucks with chips and a drink) and the people were friendly. I’ll be back — next time I will try some hot food. They offer cheese steaks, Reuben’s, and buffalo chicken subs or wraps as well.

«I’m so hungry I could eat a sandwich from a gas station.» — Clark Griswold, 1983. Holes-in-the-wall like this never cease to amaze me. From the outside, this doesn’t look like a place to get a good sandwich. But it is. There’s a reason this place does a steady lunchtime business.

Grabbed a roast beef with provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion and extra mayo on whole wheat and some homemade potato salad for about $ 7 and it was delicious! Lots of choices for salads, sandwiches, hot food and their breakfast pizza is fantastic; and the ladies at the deli counter are a delight — always with a friendly smile and lightning quick service. Best part? The place is family owned so my $$ stay right here in Syracuse, and that means a lot to me.
