Since 1931, The Carmelcorn Shop in Easton is still poppin’! The old-​fashioned candy shop in Easton’s Centre Square is still churning out batches of homemade carmelcorn, popcorn, roasted nuts, fudge, and chocolate-​dipped specialties. We also carry seasonal items such as chop suey, peanut brittle, caramel-​dipped apples, chocolate covered strawberries, sugar corn, and old-​fashioned popcorn balls.

History

Established in 1931.

Established in 1931 by John and Ruth Doherty, The Carmelcorn Shop has become an Easton institution. Well known for our homemade Carmelcorn, popcorn, fresh roasted nuts, fudge, and chocolates, The Carmelcorn Shop also carries sugar-​free candies and a large assortment of gummies and old time candies. Keeping with the tradition over the years, the shop was bought by Richard Baskin in 1985 then purchased by Tony & Sia Bassil in 1996 to present. On October 8th 2011, the Bassil’s celebrated The Carmelcorn Shop’s 80th Anniversary.

Visited Carmelcorn for first time last week after moving daughter into Lehigh. Awesome! It is the only place that I have seen offering extra extra dark roasted peanuts. Out of this world! Chocolate covered fruits and jellies, my weaknesses, were fantastic. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The best Carmelcorn, delicious chocolate covered pretzels, candies, nuts, the Carmelcorn Shop is awesome! We had some sent to us in Georgia and to our son’s home in Seattle. Love this place!!! Popcorn is always fresh and made daily. They do everything the old fashioned way!!! They a great small town business, family owned and operated and always so nice and friendly. We are there at least one a week if not more! !! Totally totally recommend! !!!

Best store ever. From chocolate covered blueberries to dried apricots, this place has everything to make everybody smile. The nuts are prepared every day and they are fresh and delicious. The caramel corn is really good. The chocolate covered blueberries and really sweet and yummy. They have a large selection of fudge that I unfortunately didn’t buy, but there is always a next time.

After having lunch in the circle last week, I decided to go into the Carmelcorn Shop for some treats for my husband. I spent lots of time shopping there as a kid but had not been there in many years. What a wonderful treat it was. The woman who owns the shop is very nice, and the chocolates and fresh roasted nuts are outrageously delicious. I munched the whole way home. Give yourself a treat. You’ll be happy.

I frequent this store for special occasions or sometimes a treat for the kids. Extremely reasonable and quality. Very pleasant and conversational. I believe this establishment has been there for 80 years. I would recommend. Only downside is finding a parking space as it is on the Easton square. I have never purchased the Carmel corn so cannot comment on it.

Have visited twice in past 5 months while on college tours with my daughter. The chocolates are delicious and we particularly liked the salted carmels, peanut butter bolsters and molasses chips. ½ pound box was only $ 7. A great little shop!

Fantastic place! It’s family-​owned by a very nice Lebanese family who make everything themselves. They were very nice to talk to and it was really nice to see such a nice small business in Easton. I only got to try some chocolate coconut clusters and an assortment of chocolate mint candies, but they were some of the best chocolates that I’ve ever had in my life. I’m definitely going to stop by again if I’m in the area again!

Been coming here since I was a child. Their chocolates and candies are quite delectable. I love coming here and picking up old-​time candy from my childhood, like bottle caps, chewy sweettarts, candy cigarettes, wax bottles and wax lips, etc… A party with your sweet tooth doesn’t get any better than this!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this store!!! Owner-​run, the Carmelcorn Shop is as real as it gets! They make candy, roast nuts and make carmelcorn. You can also find your favorite nostalgia candy, they stock them all! You always get great service, and the quality is perfect. My mother in Arizona has me ship her chocolate from this store because of its good quality and fair price.

excellent littloe shop for homemade chocolates, candies, sweet treats, and fudge. right in the circle hidden away in the corner. i got a pecan carmel cluster covered in dark chocolate, amazing. i will certainly be going back to try other things.
