This location has closed. Almost the entire shopping center seems to be in the process of being torn apart with only a few stores remaining. The sign on the windows said they will soon open a location at: 1339 Centennial Avenue Piscataway, NJ8854

Its bigger and better than ever at the new location. The produce even seemed fresher. The size and selection can now compete w/the other Asian markets on Rts 1 and 18, although their bakery and pre-made food section is still smaller. The AFC is certainly a lot cleaner though, and the check out clerk even smiled at me! Produce is freaking cheap, particularly herbs and mushrooms. We’re talking four times as much basil(mint, thyme etc) as you would get in those small plastic containers at conventional grocery stores for around $ 2.50. Double portions of portobello, oyster, shitake for $ 3. There is a good selection of foods from different ethnicities. Also you can get pre-made sauces and ethnic foods for a fraction of the price you’d otherwise pay.

great selection, one of the larger asian supermarkets i’ve been to in the nyc, pa, nj, md, dc, va area. when you first walk in the fish and meats are to your right. they have a small area where you can place orders and they’ll cook stuff for you. they also have like roast pig and turkey and stuff hanging there in the oven. lots of fresh seafood like fish, lobster, oyster, etc. they have sauces, spices, a big corner of nothing but rice, they seemed to have far more brands than the standard asian supermarket, some packaged goodies, fresh fruits– bananaas, pears, oranges, etc, books, toys, ceramic cookware, clocks, stuff like that. has an upper and lower level, on route 27 in highland park /edison nj. very crowded, finding a parking spot was nearly impossible. 92 dollars for all kinds of crazy asian food.
