Great Hash Plates! Get there early. Small dining room.

I had never heard of this place but my family and I were in the area running errands and starved. Looking for a new place to eat, we saw it randomly driving down the road. I’m hard to impress honestly when it comes to food. This place was VERYGOOD!!! Great menu with lots of their homemade items. Highly recommend

Ate here recently, and really enjoyed it. I had loaded Browns. Girlfriend has chicken fried steak. That was a super lackluster chicken fry, but my food was amazing. We also really enjoyed their jam and gravy. Definitely worth checking out if you like a diner feel and a either a good classic breakfast, or a nice, greasy spoon.

They make their own jellies and salsas. The biscuits are top of the line and the chicken fry is amazing. Clean place great service I could eat there everyday. If you go to UCO get off campus and treat yourself.

I am thoroughly impressed with the level of effort and quality that goes into the food served at Hash. Everything I have tried is homemade and yummy. What a refreshing change to find a restaurant focusing on the product and going the extra mile to exceed expectations. My husband is smitten with the waffles and wants to go on a regular basis. The biscuits are the best I’ve ever had. Prices might be slightly higher than other breakfast places but I consider them low considering the effort and quality going into the food. Even though there is normally a wait for a table when you arrive, the staff hustles to clear tables and get people seated quickly. Such a wonderful addition to Edmond!

Great food and service. Go early, go often. My only complaint, and it’s a minor one, is that the busboy tends to hover around your table, making you feel rushed. Otherwise, it’s a great experience.

My wife and I went for the first time today. Overall I really liked the place, especially compared to other options in town. I got the Granddaddy, which is a chicken fried steak, with two eggs, hash browns and a biscuit. I don’t like gravy, so I got the CFS and biscuit dry. The CFS was exceptional, it was the proper thickness with just the right amount of breading. The only complaint was the middle was a little under cooked, which didn’t bother me but it is odd on a chicken fry. The hash browns were a little different, they are grated large. The hash browns were crispy, but not overcooked, although I prefer non-crispy hash browns. I got the eggs scrambles and they were typical restaurant eggs and were fully cooked. The biscuit was awesome, nice and big, with very good flavor. The honey butter also added a lot of flavor. My wife got a waffle and oatmeal. The waffle had good flavor, but a little small for the price. It’d be nice if they offered the waffle as a meal with eggs and meat. The waffle came with maple syrup and honey butter, they also peanut butter on request. My wife said the oatmeal was average, and the serving(at least as the side) was fairly small(about 1 cup). They also offer the oatmeal as a meal, so I am not sure if that is a larger serving. Even though we walked in 15 minutes before closing, the service was good and all the food was fresh. We also were not rushed at all, they even let us order a second biscuit after we had finished eating. The restaurant was also clean. I wish they were open for dinner.

Average– new diner feel. Here’s the scoop… I’m gonna lay it out to ya… the food is good basic diner food. I ordered the country breakfast. Eggs, bacon and pancakes. Based on the reviews, my pallet was not satisfied in the way I anticipated. The eggs, ok. Bacon was a nice serving of 5 slices. Pancakes, although they were huge, were dry. They do come with honey butter, yummy, and maple syrup, yummier. Their attempt at exceptional service was snuffed by the lack of leadership in delegating specific jobs. For example, we asked for cream for our coffee three times and waited 10 minutes before receiving. Then we were asked to place our order twice. And to finish it off, we were inundated with«is everything ok» and«do you want more coffee». Although I’d rather have the last part than nothing at all, this just shows a bit of disorganization behind the scenes. Overall, if I was in the neighborhood and needed a solid place to eat, I’d go here. If I had to drive more than 5 miles, I’d find something else.

I’m definitely a fan of The Hash! Edmond is a bit of a restaurant desert, but I think The Hash is a pretty perfect breakfast/lunch spot. It’s very inexpensive. The food isn’t anything gourmet, but it’s good, and you can get pancakes with bacon, eggs, and coffee for under $ 10. The service is incredibly fast, so if I stop by on a lunch hour, I can get in and out without having to scarf my food(which is nice). The servers are also friendly and chatty in old-school diner fashion– they banter with the regulars; it’s a comfortable environment. I’ll also compliment the menu: plenty of options. Everything from loaded hash browns to flavored pancakes and all of the a-la-carte options you could want with a breakfast or brunch(fruit, breakfast meats, toast, etc). I’ve been back a couple of times and will continue to patronize this place. It’s nice to have a standby non-chain lunch spot with solid food and solid service.

The Hash has amazing home cooked food and everything is completely made in house, even everything to the coffee creamer to the jelly! Customer service was attentive yet laid back, so worth the experience! Price was more than fair and cheaper than most chain restaurants. Highly recommended! Definitely coming back!

It’s a good breakfast joint. I don’t care for Ihop, or Jimmy’s Egg. This place provides the nice middle ground between price and quality, without the competition’s baggage. By that, I mean you get a very typical breakfast, and a reasonable price If you’re looking for gourmet and unique dishes, go some place a little fancier. If you want to just stop in for a quick bite, then this is your place. The pros 1) Clean. I don’t like the other places in the area, because they are dirty and filled with college kids. Every time we have been here its been quiet and clean. Gold star! 2) Good variety. Their hash dishes, biscuits, homemade jams, and waffles have all been good. 3) «The nutty waffle.» Its the best thing I’ve had here. A nice combo of sweet, nutty, and a well made waffle… My favorite dish here. 4) Open at 6am, and even on Saturdays doesn’t start to fill up till 7:30am. Early birds for the win! The Cons 1) Right by UCO, so traffic CAN be bad. Just avoid the traffic and the crowd and go early. There really isn’t anything bad to say about The Hash, but there also isn’t anything stellar about it. Its clean, they serve a good breakfast, the staff is polite, and they move quick. It’s definitely always on the list for the«what do you want for breakfast» debates.

2 stars for the food, and that’s pretty much where the good part ends. I came here right after opening and ignored how disorganized it really was… But after waiting awhile to come back, it has gotten worse it seems. The counter to pay and put your name on the waiting list is at the back, and nobody knew where to go. We all stood at the front asking each other where to go. It also takes a considerable amount of time to get your food once it’s been ordered. Not a quick breakfast spot at all.

On the way Home from my overnight shift I decided to try The Hash. The promise of a «Retro Diner» lured me in with hopes of some good home style cooking. I ordered a «Granddaddy»(chicken fried steak with over easy eggs, hash browns, and a biscuit and gravy.) The décor was simple if not underwhelming. It reached for nostalgic but it’s weak reach and the surplus table and chairs thwarted any real class. The staff was friendly and efficient. The biscuit was ok with a flaky texture and leavened taste. The gravy was thin and sour. The eggs unfortunately we’re more semi-hard than over easy. It’s a bad sign when your cook doesn’t get your eggs right. The Hash browns reminded me of leftover baked potato and had a powder like aftertaste. The chicken fried steak was less than stellar with an almost muddy taste and mushy texture. The coating was a tasty and formed a crispy shell around the meat. I came in wanting to love the food, hoping to discover a great breakfast place. I left disappointed and saddened for the entrepreneur/s behind the 4 month old venture. Unfortunately it is a do not return rating at least for the Granddaddy breakfast or any of its ingredients.

This cute breakfast spot is truly God’s gift to Edmond. They have a huge affordable breakfast selection and it is to die for. Their biscuits and gravy is like no other, and any of their hashes are incredible! If you’re a brunch person, this needs to be the next place you try!

Before trying out The Hash, I had heard mixed opinions: some said the food was Ahhhmazzing! Some said it was terrible. I figured this much: why not try it for myself? I came around 11 on a Saturday morning, which is a poppin’ time for brunch. Walking in, I wasn’t sure what to do, because there’s no stand, just tables. Fortunately, I only stood there awkwardly for about a minute before a waitress took my name. I was seated pretty quickly because I was a party of 1. All of the tables were set up for 4 people, so it was a liiiiittle awkward when she sat me with 3 empty chairs. They definitely need some more variety, because there were several parties of 2. The space is a little small, so I understand that has some constraints, but the furniture needs to be re-arranged like whoa. I ordered the garden hash with scrambled eggs and biscuit. The garden hash was excellent, although I’m not one to complain about potatoes, cheese, and veggies intermingled in one delicious dish. I probably would not order my eggs scrambled again, though. They were flat, and not fluffy at all. It was like a poor, sad, flat frittata if you could even call it that. I hate being that person who says«I could’ve made these better myself angry emoji rawr» buuuuutt… yeah, I could have. The biscuit was decent – I slathered it in butter to compensate for the gravy, since I wasn’t partaking. Coffee service was good. I never had an empty cup, so I was a little surprised when an older woman started clamoring«COFFEE! COFFEE! COFFEEEE!». Her poor husband, because everyone turned and stared. Hats off, though, for the waitress who expertly handled the outburst and politely got this lady some more coffee. I don’t have any comments about the service, because it was pretty good! Overall, it was an ok experience. I left with a full belly and a caffeinated brain, so I can’t complain too much. It definitely needs some improvements space arrangement-wise, but that’s definitely something that is developed over time. The Hash, while not perfect, is potentially on its way to being a go-to breakfast joint.

Cute little breakfast joint we’ve been stoked to try. My man is a hash brown fanatic so this was a must try! Hash was equal parts crunch and soggy bottom with pretty bland scrambled eggs. I love that the plates were NOT drenched with butter/oil like most chain brunches but a little salt and pepper would go a long way to add some needed flavor. French toast was AMAZING!!! Bacon was slim and the egg over easy was nails. We’re definitely up for trying more options on that menu. Staff was chatty and very interested in making everyone’s experience as enjoyable as possible. No cinnamon rolls??? Add pretty please!!!

The clouds parted, the sun shone down on The Hash, and a voice declared, «This is my new favorite breakfast spot in Edmond, with which I am well pleased.» We have had consistently good service here. It’s new and clean. Their menu has classic diner breakfast and lunch stuff, and it also has unique offerings. I like the hashbrown mashups; delicious, and unique. The waffles are fantastic. I had some blueberry pancakes this last time, and they were light and fluffy. The jam is homemade. It is amazing. The juice and coffee were good. This place beats out the other diners in town in my opinion.
