Business Owner

Paul stared Clean Earth in 1994 serving San Diego County. He began cleaning carpets approx. 20 years ago. Over the years, he received his contractors license, certifications in crime and trauma scene biorecovery, water damage restoration, applied microbial remediation technician, mold remediation in buildings /​assessment and control, and advanced certified mold inspection. Paul is also an expert witness in the field of mold remediation.

My family has provided appliance service and sales in the Greater San Diego area for nearly 50 years. We regularly provide professional install/​removal of appliances for restoration firms needing to repair a home after a flood or fire. We have completed work for Clean-​Earth in years past and recently were re-​introduced to their firm. This team is on top of their game. They are responsive to their clients and mindful of the homes they enter.
I recently had a job with a large, national restoration firm that left our shared client so frustrated that I had to meet at the client’s home (on multiple occasions) in support of her claims against the restoration team and their damages within the home.
Having Clean Earth as an alternative to other «big» restoration firms has been a true blessing.

Wonderful experience!
From day one these guys have been first class. Professional, friendly, thorough, and clean.
After the insane rain here in SD my home flooded. They responded immediately– stayed late making sure that the area was clean and ready for demo.
They have been so flexible with my busy schedule– starting work at 4pm! Leaving after normal business hours to accommodate.

Thank goodness we have somebody like clean earth restoration in San Diego after the recent weekend deluge. These people can fix about anything that’s related to storm or water damage. If you’ve been looking for someone to take care of such damage that you may have occurred over the weekend these are the people you should be talking to. They will restore your place to a condition better than it was before the flood or damages caused by the storm.

Horrible! Don’t use them! They have had to come back three times for simple fixes that they messed up and still deny everything. Chipped our bathtub in two very obvious spots. Messy job all around. Manager is an argumentative jerk. They won’t admit to their faults. Sloppy paint job. Ruined a perfectly good room. Thanks for nothing.

Used clean earth twice in two weeks for two separate water leaks in my condo. Both times they were very responsive, professional, and did a great job. The second time was on a sunday afternoon, and both Chris and Fred showed up within an hour, found the source of the leak, staters clean up, and and fans and a dehumidifier in place. If I am (un)lucky enough to have a third flood I will go with Clean Earth.

A couple of weeks ago we experienced a leak that was determined to be in the wall of between our garage and interior closet. I was referred to Clean Earth Restorations by Unity Plumbing. Grant from Clean Earth responded rapidly and utilized a high tech temperature sensor and a hand held infra red device to pin point the location of the leak. The property damage was immediately mitigated by the fast action of clean earth and unity plumbing. Demolition and drying conducted by Chris and Rob were done efficiently and professionally. Several industrial blowers and two dehumidifiers were used in the home and in the garage. The affected areas were treated with a spray to prevent any potential risk of mold. For several days staff came and monitored the moisture levels. Shawn from Clean Earth was courteous and made every effort to find a time that worked for my wife and I to evaluate carpentry repair work. His communication with my wife and I was extremely thorough, he took the time to explain the work to be done and the methods to be used. Francisco the carpenter was actually EARLY and waited in front of my house until his appointment time. His work was outstanding, a craftsman who took obvious pride in his work. After the work was completed Clean Earth sent out staff to collect trash and debris left over from the work. All staff from Clean Earth were respectful and professional. I hope to never experience water damage again, but in the event that I do; Clean Earth Restorations is tops on my list. I would recommend this company to my family, friends, and even the most skeptical stranger.

My experience with this company was top notch from the very first phone call. The woman who helped me schedule my cleaning was not only friendly but was able to get me an appointment in two days. She also applied a discount to the total that I was not even aware was available. The technician Lee arrived on time and maintained a professional and friendly demeanor during the entire process. Now for the best part… the carpet was so soiled and stained that I was considering ripping it out just days before. When I walked in after Lee was finished I was shocked! He removed stains that other companies were not able to remove from years ago. I would recommend this company to anyone and will obviously be using them exclusively from now on.

I am a very happy customer!!! I recently had a water leak that had apparently been leaking for a while. Mold had grown under and on the kitchen cabinets, walls, floor, etc. I am a renter and my landlord’s insurance, Allstate, chose Clean Earth Restorations to do the mold remediation. I am so glad they did. Not only were they clean and professional, they communicated everything that was going to be done and it was all complete in just a few days. They took the time to protect our things as well as our health. The manager Grant was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything that needed to be done. Once again our expectations were surpassed… Our carpets needed some TLC! The cleaning Technician «Drey» completely made my wife and daughters day when they came home to a freshly cleaned home. I needed my carpets cleaned. I arranged to have it done quickly over the phone. A couple of clean and polite gentlemen came to my house and did a very thorough carpet cleaning job on some high traffic dirty carpet! Lee came to our house and did a thorough job of cleaning our carpet. He was very nice and I immediately felt comfortable with him. He was considerate of my time constraints and he left us some booties to wear on our shoes so we could walk on the carpet before it was done drying without getting any dirt on it. There was also a small area of carpet that I had forgotten about and he did it for free since it wasn’t part of his work order. Great experience. Great Better Business Bureau rating. And eco-​friendly. They were also able to make an appointment on short notice which I greatly appreciated.

I had a flood in my Tierra Santa home and had to move out.
Clean earth gave me a better bid to put it back together, which included, extensive wall, cieling and closet repair.
They started when they said they would, finished when they said they would (at the agreed price), they were carefull and respectfull of my furnishings and left the place clean!
And, when I called them to make a couple of repairs they missed or werent exactly right, they were right out and did a good job!

I just want to say WOW, The quality of the work was amazing but the customer service and staff was even better. When my master bedroom roof came down filled with water. This team of PROFESSIONALS came to the rescue. Grant and his team came in and stopped further damage. They helped me understand the entire scope of work and made sure the home was safe. Once space was dry the sent Manny, what an talented man. He does it all and to call him «handy Manny» would be an insult. He is a master tradesman and put the room back together better than original state. Drew made sure to check in with me and the entire team throughout the process. What could have been a horrible 3 weeks, was made much easier by this wonderful and seasoned company. If you ever need work done in your home or just need carpets cleaned, This is the people to call.
I have told all my friends and feel very happy to HIGHLY RECOMMEND this team to the public.

I would never work with this company again. They exhibited poor communication and the job was not completed to my standards.
The quality of the job was mediocre; but most bothersome to me was the poor communication between their contractors, main office, and I.
They replaced broken glass light fixture coverings on my chandelier that didnt fit properly and then later informed me that they would not correct their mistake because it was not paid for by insurance. They caused damage to the stairs leading up to my condo during the construction and never repaired afterwards. When I asked their reply to me was that «it was never in the initial scope of the job». In my opinion, they could have fixed that for a half an hour of labor and kept customer satisfaction.
Ultimately, I feel that they showed very little care for the customer and was easily willing to cut corners.
