Salsa market is a go to little store if you’re I need need of something ! Everything looks fresh & taste fresh too !!:) very convenient & prices are ok :)

This place is delicious! Great store has everything you need to make your own meal or get some of their fresh in house made food. The Cali burrito is awesome, add some of their homemade salsa and you are in heaven. Other in house made recommendations: Guacamole Tortilla chips Marinated chicken from the meat counter

We live nearby and go here a couple of times a week. Nice little grocery store. Good prices. The tortillas are fresh and warm. The food is yummy and portions are large. Our favorites are taquitos, shrimp burrito, carne asada, chorizo. They will make it how you like it without complaint.

They have so much for such a tiny place. The tortillas, oh yes, hot, fresh corn tortillas. Makes me not miss the tortillas from Kaelin’s «Mi Pueblo» at all. They can keep their moldy ass tortillas and their jerk of an owner/manager, cuz Salsa’s tortillas are even better! Great prices on produce. Can’t wait to try their prepared food next.

Went back and tried their in store made food. Got a Cali burrito $ 3.95( ) and a Pollo asada taco $ 2.95( ) . The cali burrito was wrapped in a freshly made flour tortilla and stuffed inside carne, potatoes chunks, sour cream, and pico. The burrito was large and for under 4 bucks that’s hard to find. The burrito was good but they use large chucks of potatoes! The chunks were a little over overwhelming, I like fries instead. The pollo taco was great 2 corn tortillas large amount of pollo, guac and cheese. Both were good and cheap, I would probably get just a carne asada burrito next time. They also have nice combo meals /family meals. You get 1 pound of carne or carnitas, pint of beans and rice, salsa and tortillas for $ 13. Good deal for a lot of food.

Man whenever I’m in El Cajon I have to get their California burritos. They make the Carne asada right in front of u the freshly fry the potatoes. Man this burritos gets 2 thumbs and 2 big toes up

This is where I go to get my meat for when I want to cook carne asada. Also, you can buy a burrito or taco or plate for take-out. I have only ever tried their bean & cheese burrito, but it is one of the best bean & cheese burritos I’ve ever had! Now back to the market side of it… It is very small, but that’s okey, because it really only has what you need. There is the meat, tortillas & all the fixings you need to make a good homemade Mexican meal at home.

Dios Mio Salsa Market. I know love is usually about two people connecting and all that. But I am a material girl, living in a material world. And I am in love with Salsa Market. You could buy every ingredient necessary to make an incredible south of the border meal(they have it all, for cheap), or you can just get drunk and pick it up pre made! MMMMM. $ 12.95 for a family meal– Carne Asada or Carnitas, rice, beans, tortillas, and salsa. Fuck yeah. A bag of fresh chips and a 16 oz’er of guac. All hand made with loooooove. Pick up a 12 pack of Pacifico next door at the liquor store and your all set. Don’t forget the Spider Man Piñata. All for under $ 30

I love little mexican markets. They have the best carne asada and all the ingredients for authentic mexican food. This market is a block away from where I grew up in El Cajon, in the same shopping center as Terry’s East. It popped up about 6 years ago and I always pick up some fresh guacomole when I visit my moms. Their guacomole is made fresh daily, and none of that lime green watery crap. I’m talking big chunks of avocado, fresh cilantro, tomatoes and onions. This is the real deal. They also have some kick ass ceviche. In the back they have a meat section and also a small take out where you can buy burritos and tacos. They have some bomb pollo asada and if you’re adventurous they have fried pigs feet for sale. The produce section is tiny, but sells a wide variety of chilis and mexican fruit. What does one do with a cactus leaf, anyhow? They also have fresh tortillas, flour or corn made daily and I haven’t had any better accept from Pancho Villa’s in North Park. If you’re in the EC you should definately look this place up.
