The food is of a child practicing how to cook. We got the Carne Asada fries. The meat is ok little bit dry, the fries were obviously cooked before and just re fried when I ordered them. The guacamole seemed like it was straight from the can. Don’t waste your time here, only reason they got 2 stars instead of 1 was due to the fact their open 24 hours.

This taco shop is just down the street and have driven by many times without checking it out since I am not fond of the mexican food in El Cajon. All of El Cajon taco shops are horrible. i usually head up to Clairemont Mesa or the Logan Heights\Barrios to get real good Mexican food. Lolitas is way to far to get some Carne Asada Fries but a friend of mine said they have some good Carne Asada fries here. He wasn’t wrong. For 7.99 they pack a lot of juicy and flavorful Carne Asada, Guac and cheese on soggy fries. So it was just okay. It would have been to par to Lolitas if the fries were fresh. I will still go back if I need a Carne Asada Fries fix instead of driving to Lolitas in Clairemont.

This place charges way toooo much! Since when is a burrito meat and tortilla and for $ 7!!!Even with high prices we have given them a couple tries since they’re so close to the house but the experience just gets worse and worse. I don’t know how they continue to do business customer service sucks and the food is NOT worth what they charge at all!!!

Alright, honestly, this place wasn’t the greatest. There was some really great things and some really not so great things. The salsa was pretty good, the red had some good flavor. The service was also really friendly. Now, my California burrito was not so great. The meat tasted old, the tortilla was falling apart and everything was just extremely dry. Don’t know if I would come back here.

This is my favorite Mexican food place, period. I have been coming here since I was a kid, and continue to come here. Although their food is greasy, thats what make it so good. The flavor of their burritos has to come from the great meat they have. It is open 24 hours and the drive thru is very fast. You can see them make your food right through the window. It is a business that I have seen grow and also raise their prices. I continue to be loyal to this restaurant due to the history I have with eating here and the love I have for their burritos. The way I rate a Mexican food place is by their hot sauce and their quality of meat. This place has my favorite hot sauce and their meat is of good quality. This really shows in their food and it is great. Since I was a kid, I come here and order a «California Burrito, no pico de gallo, and add sour cream.» MMMM my absolute favorite.

Carne asada burritos here are phenomenal. Staff members are nice, the outside looks beat up but don’t judge a book by its cover!

Good mexican food restaurant. With a drive-thru, cheap prices, and open 24 hrs. it’s hard to beat this place. Especially after 11p on main street, not many options. Just as other reviews have stated though it could use a little tlc as far as the building is concerned but good food and friendly service.

I’ve tried this place on two separate occasions. Big mistake. The food is very bland and taste terrible. I’ll never waste my money at this taco shop again

Pollo asada burrito only come with guacamole and salsa, but Sometimes when I’m extra hungry I order my burritos with cheese and sour cream. I might as well call for a paramedics while I’m at to have on stand by. Over all it was great! Taste was there, pollo was cooked good, all the ingredients were fresh, and it’s even better with lime over it with some carrots. I usually go through the drive thru, and the best part every time I ask for carrots and limes they don’t charge me extra for it! I give the pollo asada a 3 and a half stars.

Great carne asada fries. I’ve tried the tacos as well and even though they weren’t bad, I just go to other places for tacos. The people working there are always very friendly.

The carne asada chips and carne asada fries are some of the best tasting around. Giant portions and they don’t skimp on anything. I took a friend who was indifferent to Mexican food and now he always suggests that we go here because of the carne. I personally recommend their chicken tacos with guac. There’s only one other place in all of San Diego county that makes them better. And yes, I’m qualified to say so. I’m a native. They’re open 24⁄7 and worth the drive anytime. Great prices too!

There is always a long line at the drive-thru but no one ever eats inside. I wouldn’t eat inside either. It’s really run down and dirty. BUT, their food is good. They charge ridiculous fees if you use a decit/credit card and only have canned drinks.

This place is certainly not going to win any cosmetic awards any time soon, but at least they can make a descent breakfast burrito for $ 4.( ) I had the ham, eggs, potatoes, and cheddar cheese burrito.( ) The burrito, slightly larger than an average size burrito, had a very good amount of filling. Everything was cooked well and tasted good except the potatoes. They were very limp, a little discolored and over cooked as if they were cooked more than one time. I do not like when they do that, but the rest of the ingredients were good. The inside of this place looks very dreary. I think they do the majority of their business through their 24 hour drive-thru because everyone else was going through it. I ordered my food to go, when I saw what the inside of this place looked like.
