The service here was absolutely PHENOMENAL! The staff was not only genuinely friendly, but the gentleman helping my friend pick out a hat gave him a lot of helpful tips and was very knowledgeable. This place had a great selection of hats, boots, and button down shirts. The prices seemed comparable to other boot/​hat places. Would definitely come back here based on the service alone.

The staff us extremely helpful and personable without being pushy or overlording. They’ll shape your hat and keep it looking good too.

Went there today after my girlfriend was unable to find the boots she wanted at Boot Barn. I was really impressed with the selection of Western Wear and the legit local feel to the store. She wound up finding the boots that she wanted and we left happy.
The real reason I am writing this review is because of the staff. They were all so nice –and very helpful. Gary was the main guy helping us and he was the nicest guy. He told me stories about the Navy and growing up in Nebraska. He was such a nice guy I almost invited him to lunch just to hear more about him. He knows his western wear, is a genuinely nice guy and the reason that I will be returning to this store. I highly recommend this place for all your needs.

Had a great experience at this store. The staff was super friendly and helpful, they have a large but not overwhelming selection, it’s clean, it’s organized and their sale was good enough to lead me to buy a new pair of cowboy boots. Very authentic Western Wear store including jeans, skirts, boots, hats, etc.

I was invited to the YMCA’s Western Hoedown party they called «The Branding» and where else to go to get cowboy duds but a store that specializes it in. I felt like I was in Disneyland for Cowboys with all of the western schwag they have in here; jewelery, boots, novelty signs and figurines, shirts, etc. etc. etc. The selection for males is far more badass than the girl section and I find myself pretty envious of them. My husband got some awesome boots to wear to the party.
Whether you’re invited to a theme party or just want to flip your style into Cowboytastic this is the place for you.
And they do military discounts!!! YEEEHAWWWW!

I love Wild Bill’s!!! Being from the ranch and farm lands of West Texas, I have high expectations when looking for a western wear store here in San Diego, or any where but Texas. The minute I walked in, it reminding me of home and what a real western wear store is supposed to be. The staff was great, very kind and helpful. I went to Wild Bill’s to find a pair of Cowgirl Boots for my 3 year old daughter, and found a vast assortment of children boots and clothes. My family and I will be going back to Wild Bill’s quite a bit, now that I found a quality western wear store in San Diego. On top of everything, they give a 10% military discount!

I called Wild Bill’s hoping that they could help me to get my black boots dyed white. While the lady that answered the phone said that they couldn’t do it, she gave me some ideas as to who might be able to. She also happened to mention a «rodeo queen» that dyed a pair of burgundy boots to a light blue color. I thanked her for her time and tried the ideas she gave me. After checking in with the local leather and cobbler businesses, and being told that it’s not possible to dye dark to light, I was thinking to myself… «Bullshit!» It just motivated me all the more that the nice lady had mentioned that rodeo queen. So I decided to call her back and ask about the queen! She took my name and number and told me she would check around for me. What a nice, friendly, and helpful place! 5 Stars for customer service! I will definitely be going there to make some purchases in the near future!

I am not a person who would normally be buying in East County. Yesterday my very close friend took me to buy a pair of boots for my birthday. We started at Boot World then we were sent across the street to another boot store. We found nothing to fit my 13 EEE high instep foot. We made a mad dash to Wild Bills; at this point I thought no dice! We walked into the store 5 minutes before the store was to close. We were escorted by Michele to the boot department, we were not rushed to make a purchase. I found the perfect pair of boots the owner Howard Smith happened to be in, he was sporting a nice casual shirt with old time woodies, he was so nice and I thanked him for having such a nice staff also the manager was in and her name escapes me; she helped my friend select some nice western shirts. They are priced right and not a rip off. I wish the other stores can learn some great customer service like Mr. Smith’s staff. I will be back and I will tell all my friends about Wild Bills in EL Cajon. I will find a reason to go back the store is well air conditioned and nice items for everyone! Just love this store and the people. And please don’t call me «GOLDIE LOCS»!

I’ve been over 20 years out since wearing a pair of boots and was a little shy coming out and getting a pair again, putting that all aside. I came into Wild Bill’s for the heck of it as I already had my mind kinda set on a pair of boots at Boot Barn. I went in and was greeted by Kathryn (I believe her name was) and she was very helpful in finding my pair of boots. I was looking for something less of a western look and more just a practical everyday, casual boot. She pointed me to a set of the lower heeled roper style boots by Ariat in distressed leather, I love them! It can be intimidating walking into a western wear store, especially me looking like as far from a ranch as could be, but I had worn boots growing up in Colorado and found they were very practical and some of the most comfortable footwear one could own. I wanted that feeling again for casual days or nights out.
Thank you Wild Bill’s and Kathryn for making my experience a good one at your store, who knows I may be back for a pair of black boots!

I loooooove Wild Bill’s! They have a HUGE selection of boots, shirts, and other western wear. I bought a beautiful pair of Luchesse boots from there, and go there often to find fun gifts.
The selection is big enough to find something for the young & less traditional country to the older and traditional country & cowboy wear. The quality is great and the prices are even better.
They also offer military discount.

Did you know Wild Bills will stretch your boots… for FREE!!!
Yeah, that is the coolest thing ever. And you don’t even have to BUY them there, you can just bring in any ol pair and get a nice roomy stretch. I bought a nice vintage 60’s pair of Italian cowboy-​like boots on eBay for 12 bucks… BEAUTIFUL, but obviously made for someone with a slinky for a foot because they were the right size inside, you just couldn’t slide your foot past the heel. Its like trying to drive a motor home through a bend in the drive thru line.
Anywhoo… u leave your boots for about a week and they sit in a stretching vice with some leather conditioner… then voi la! Fat-​foot friendly.
They also carry lots of western apparel, for all the serious cowboys and girls out there. One of my favorites that they carry is a brand called «Old Friend»… its like your typical ugg boot but not so… ugg-​ly. Cute slippers, half calf and full calf boots for around 30 – 50 bucks… if you are going to actually wear your sheepskin boots in all weather conditions, an inexpensive but great quality pair like these are perfect.
Lets not forget the incredible staff here, everyone really seems to love their job and it reflects in the way they treat every person who walks through their doors. Yeehaw~!

This place is great if you’re looking for any sort of clothing and/​or accessories to wear to the rodeo, or anywhere in the Bible Belt of America pretty much.
Not sure, but it appears to family owned and operated, just a couple of old timers working inside, they were very nice and accommodating even to someone like myself who looks like he doesn’t belong in a Western Wear type store. Lots of great Western Memorabilia on the walls, and a HUGE selection of legit (as in NOT for a Halloween costume) Western Style apparel.
I bought a great pair of shit kicker cowboy boots there, they were marked $ 265.00, and they had a little scuff on the leather, so the lady marked them down to $ 165.00 for me! SWEET!
They also have tons of Western Shirts, cowboy hats, bolo ties, and lots of stuff for the females as well. The place was clean, well organized and not scummy or white trash at all.
This place is not cheap, let me make that clear. You are paying top dollar for top quality here. But if the Americana style is your thing, or you ride horses for a living, then thumbs up.
