Full service birth and postpartum doula care and childbirth education from an experience doula and student midwife.

Postpartum care can be days or nights with twins or singletons.

Full birth support with 3 prenatal visits and 2 postpartum visits.

Childbirth education classes taught regularly. There is the option of a 4 week series, an 8 hour weekend crash course, and in home private classed tailored to fit your schedule and birth plan.

History

Established in 2009.

I’ve been working as a doula for over 6 years. I started in Olympia, WA doing mostly volunteer work at a nearby hospital and with home births. Moved to Oakland in 2010 and was apart of Empowered Birth Doulas till 2012. I also lived, worked, and studied in New Mexico as an infant care specialist and then onward to Durango, CO where I was a doula and childbirth educator for home and hospital births. Just moved back to the area to set up shop once again. Happy to be back in this vibrant city with so much to offer expectant parents!

I am a toLabor trained doula, have attended multiple trainings and workshops on breastfeeding and infant massage, am currently studying maternal nutrition, have attended Elizabeth Davis’ Heart and Hands Midwifery Intensives, studied midwifery abroad in Bali, and am currently taking midwifery sciences courses for full spectrum support throughout the childbearing year and beyond. I am currently training as a student midwife through the PEP process (a portfolio based approach through a series of independent workshops, classes, and apprenticeships). Over the past 6 years of working as a doula and childbirth educator, I have served over 100 families, many on a volunteer and sliding-​scale basis, attending births at over 15 hospitals and at home. I’m excited to be taking my work and training to a new level of technical and clinical training through an apprenticeship in the Spring of 2016.
