*The Tea Spout carries high quality loose leaf teas from all over the world steeped one cup at a time or packaged to prepare at home. We also carry a full line of steeping accessories.

* We specialize in Matcha, a high quality Japanese tea served as an energy shake, shot, iced, or hot, or infused into locally baked pastries. Flavors include: Traditional, vanilla, or blueberry.

*We have full seating for studying, meetings and socials.

*Coming soon: On line shopping and children’s birthday/​tea parties.

History

Established in 2014.

After making a decision to live a healthier life, I began to research the benefits of tea and herbs. Once I realized that El Paso was lacking in quality teas I knew that I had to be the one to introduce my community to the healthy lifestyle that tea had to offer.

Having lived in El Paso for the last 20 years, I am extremely supportive of the local business community. I am trained in the business of tea and am currently working on my certification as a Tea Sommelier. I am excited about being on the front lines of the tea business and anxious to introduce El Paso to all the fabulous favors and health benefits of tea.

Just visited this place last night for the first time to buy their organic matcha powder, just tried it this morning with milk and ice and it’s perfect! When I went in to buy it I ended up trying their drink with matcha, blueberries, bananas and soy milk– such a yummy combo!

I love it here! The staff and owner truly love their job and are always willing to go above in beyond to find the best tea for your liking. It’s so warm and cozy here you’ll want to stay here for a second steep of tea to relax, finish homework, or just hangout.

This tea house has a very comfortable type atmosphere. Customer service was A+!! I left the Tea Spout knowing a lot more about tea’s and brewing methods. The flavored Matcha Tea’s are amazing and April always knows how to treat her customers. She has tea specials every day of the week and Chicken and Dumplings!!! Very impressed, can’t wait to go back!

To my knowledge this is the first tea spot that serves loose tea leaves and serves awesome teas. The interior is great and gives off a homey feeling. Tables and chairs at the front and couches in the back. They also offer food, so it’s not strictly tea. :) the Auntie of the owner is so sweet and welcoming. She knows her stuff! They also sell the loose tea leaf along with other cool tea stuff (bottles, strainers, tea set, etc). If you’re on the tea side, definitely need to stop by here.

When I first walked in I was welcomed by the most calming and quaint interior design. Our server was exceptionally nice to us and let us smell each tea before we decided what to order. She also told us about the health benefits of each tea. Prices were $ 3.40 for a medium iced tea. We’re definitely making this place a weekly visit.

Great place to study and get a yummy freshly steeped hot or cold tea drink. It has a home-​y feel with the large comfy couches. The tables are nice for individual studies. There’s a «student discount» where you can get a matcha shot and your tea of choice. Also your 2nd steep can be can extra .54 cents (I would specify no ice on your second cup if you’re getting iced tea). So total with all this I spent 4.50. It’s an all right price, especially since I just get a nice A/​Ced place to study with free Wi-​fi which is pretty nice connection.
I would take the health claim benefits of all the teas with a grain of salt however. Teas can definitely be supportive to your overall health but I wouldn’t think they’re lifechanging especially if other aspects of your life are not as healthy.
The owner is very personable and will introduce herself. She also takes time to talk to customers almost like you’re drinking afternoon tea with a friend and talking about life.

This is one my favorite places in El Paso, hands down. April Benson, the owner, is the sweetest person and is extremely knowledgable on teas and her other products. This is the perfect place to hang out with friends, and spend time between or after classes. There’s even a cute bar chalkboard and board games available for guests to use. I love the matcha power shakes! Everything here is fabulous and very well-​priced for the quality you get. I always look forward to going back.

Drove by and caught a glimpse of this while passing and decided it was worth turning around to check it out… grateful I did! Met April, the owner and not only is she super friendly, she is very knowledgeable in regards to loose tea leaves and its benefits. Since I am trying to break away from coffee, she was helpful in guiding me to an appropriate drink for this brunch time and suggested a power smoothie with matcha. It contains almond milk (soy is available) and it is delicious. Would definitely come back for an afternoon treat or morning power start. Also, great place for students to work or hangout.

The blueberry matcha is so good. So many tea options. The owner April is so nice. A good place to go study. Plenty of space. Everything about this place is awesome!
