Hilton Garden Inn LAX / El Segundo

Nice hotel. Great breakfast cooked to order eggs and buffet included in room rent. Evening cookies and best of all shuttle to and from hotel and work.

Had a really great experience at the Hilton Garden Inn. When checking in, I felt very welcome. We got a pleasant surprise when we found out we didn’t have to pay for parking. We got to the room and it was spacious and clean. Additionally, we had a small fridge and microwave, a luxury that seems to elude us whenever we stay at a hotel. We got a room with a king size bed and a sofa pullout and it was perfect for our family. In the morning, we needed an extra towel and with 3 minutes, we got what we needed. The price was right (military rate) and it was close to the airport. I would definitely stay here again.

Went here for a multiple-​day training/​workshop in Summer o f 2015. About to go again in a few months.
This is a very good location for many different reasons:
— Easily accessible from both the 405 and 105 Freeways.
— Plenty of parking spaces available close to the main entrance.
— The conference room was clean and comfortable.
— There is free coffee, tea and water at the lobby.
— Plenty of water service in the training room as well.
— Restaurant is available at the lobby if you don’t wish to leave the premises for breakfast and/​or lunch.
The only cons are:
— The only restrooms available at near the front lobby and the conference rooms are at the rear. Which would not normally be a problem, but…
— It is sort of maze-​like to go from the front to the rear of the building.
— AC is turned up just a bit. Helps with the concentration though.

do you think first impressions last and/​or are they an indicator of what is to come?
Made reservation through oritz to stay in this Hilton Garden Inn for the up comming weekend (Nov 13;14;15; 2015). My son has a ice hockey tournament located just down the street and his first game starts at 5:15 AM Saturday. Because it is important for a player to eat (fuel up) before a game, i called their telephone number 310 726 0100 directly at 4:40pm wednesday (November 11, 2015).
The response of the women who answered: was to simply say «breakfast starts at 6am» and abrutly place me on hold where I waited for over three (3)minutes never to return.
If anyone knows a good hotel near the Toyota Sports Center Ice Rink El Segundo area that we should consider please call me.

This is a pretty good hotel for a stay in LA. Relatively close to the airport and freeways, even though an inconvenience is that there’s hardly anything around the area. Our stay was pretty cheap, compared to all the other hotels we were looking at. There’s free parking, free coffee, and free water flavored with fruit. Only thing I can complain is that the walls are kind of thin and I was woken up by a lot of doors being slammed.

Beautiful Atmosphere and Outstanding Customer service
My husband and I was coming to LA for a surprise birthday party in Redondo Beach and to visit his family who lives in the Marina Delray, after spending a great deal of hours researching hotels and reading the reviews we decided to stay here at the Hilton Garden Inn in El Segundo. This hotel is very clean, customer service is Excellent, the beds are comfortable, refrigerator and microwave in the room, Neutrogena toiletries stocked in the restroom and FREE parking. Hotel close to the LAX airport and train station however NO outside noise interference.
This is the only hotel I will stay at next time I visit the
Los Angeles, California. El Segundo is really in the middle of the city it appears as we also drove to West Hollywood it was only about 25 minutes drive via freeway.

I’m on day 3 of a 5 day stay in LA and am so happy with the hotel we chose to stay at. All of the staff had been very friendly. The room we are in is HUGE. In the past we’ve chosen to stay at some Art Deco/​boutique hotels and while the décor was cute, the rooms were the size of a postage stamp. Rooms at the Hilton may have simple décor but the size and comfort of this place is well worth it.

We stayed here over Labor Day weekend and were given the wrong room type. We had three people staying in a room with a king bed. They had no rollaways available and were rude and unhelpful, basically saying it was our fault.

After reading other Unilocal reviews I decided to stay at this hotel to be close to work. Staff was warm & friendly. Hotel was clean. They had free parking :) Which is rare. Rooms were big & clean. It’s not fancy. Not close to much, except the airport. Great for traveling.

It’s pretty standard hotel moderately updated. The beds are firm and the rooms are clean. We stayed in the handicap accessible room and it’s one of the largest I’ve ever stayed in. All you can eat buffet is 11.95 and room service is surprisingly reasonable in my opinion.

Pleasantly surprised. I arrived Sunday evening and the shuttle retrieved me promptly from LAX. The shuttle was comfortable and had bottled water for patrons. I arrived and checked in. The desk staff were friendly and smiling. My room was immaculate and clean. Slept great (I didn’t experience any noise or disruption through the night). On site gym facility is great! Libby and restaurant area is lively and the environment is enjoyable. Highly recommend. If I’m ever back in the area, I’ll seek out Hilton Garden Inn.

Hilton is the place to be for some great service and a good night sleep! I enjoy my time at this hotel.

Very clean and orderly. Small parking lot. The check in/​out desk were the only staff members that were not friendly at all. The Housekeeping staff were very friendly and the staff during the meals were very attentive. The food was very good but is a little confusing for the breakfast meal. We had the same meal two days in a row and the second day the bill was quite a bit larger than the first day.

I travel a lot. sometimes way to much. Anyway, from the moment I pulled into the expertly maintained lot, to the time I walked up to the counter I was impressed. I was greeted by Sandy and Sherry, with big smiles and wonderful attitudes. So very helpful! That means a lot.
This place is spotless… and then some. You walk into your room, and it is spacious and well laid out. Not a spot of fuzz or anything out of place. And the place smells great. And I looked real hard for anything out of place. I came up empty. Seriously super clean!
From the outlets next to the desk, to the more than comfortable desk chair, to the great desk lamp, this place is well thought out… and then some.
The bed is beyond awesome, along with the best pillows other than my own.
This place sets such a high standard, others could learn from it. Kudos to the management and staff. If I could give you ten stars, I would. You deserve it!

Le rapport qualité /​prix est très bien, les chambres sont très spacieuses, propres et le lit est confortable. Nous avions une vue sur la piscine. Le personnel est agréable et sa proximité avec l’aéroport et la mise a disposition gratuite de la navette est très appréciable ! Je le conseille !

This review pains me to write for many reasons I won’t go into but whenever I travel I actively seek out Hilton branded hotels. I also never enjoy sharing bad experiences but not offering a review good or bad will never help other customers from avoiding the experience I or another reviewer has.
It’s with this lens that I am sharing my experience.
First of all, I am really surprised that this hotel is received such high marks – it makes me wonder about the validity of the ratings on Unilocal.To be honest, I wish my wife and I had experience the customer service and hospitality that others have indicated. That would have made our Thanksgiving experience much more positive and delightful.
From the start, particularly during the check in process, my wife and I were treated with disrespect. We checked in at 3am, the lady (I’m sparing her name and the details) who checked us in appeared bothered and annoyed. We had previously came from the nearby Doubletree with horrendous service and furniture, this background and context was provided to her, yet she was not interested in being empathetic to our predicament nor would she facilitate a quick check in. It took 45 minutes and a call to Hilton’s reservation customer service folk.
The second day of our stay we were locked out (1^st lock out) for some reason, very odd, it’s as if they didn’t want us around. My wife was able to retrieve replacement cards when she offered an ID, no biggie. Then another day passes by and we were locked out a third day (2^nd lock out) for some reason. Again my wife requested a replacement card from the front desk just like before yet was refused a replacement key despite offering her ID! The lady (again do want want to name anyone) insisted that they see my ID as well, WTF? Why was my wife’s license enough the first time but not the second time? FYI: My wife shares my same last name, lets be honest, how many Huq’s are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn!!! I called to find out what the deal was and the director of operations (won’t name a name), responded absolutely unsympathetically and in a condescending way with; «How should we have handled it?» Truly unbelievable behavior as she didn’t care that it was an inconvenience that we weren’t able to access our room.
The final straw, they charged me for an extra day of stay! Wow, such a bummer!
In all I have been utterly disappointed with Hilton and this particular location which is unfortunate as I used to be a proud HHonors member. I will now move to the Marriott going forward.
Oh, we have submitted appropriate survey results, however, we’ve not heard from anyone, it has been a week.

Location is great call and they’ll pick you up.
Located right in front of the bus stop for the t8 and metro bus. Great for self parking nice pool like you’ve been transported away to an island resort. Train overhead a minute away. Interior is wonderful like you’re in an upscale mansion. Staff always there to help with a nice business center and free wifi for guests. Restaurant clean spacious and great for relaxing. A true home away from home.

I stood in the hotel for a week. For some quality time with my lady. Arrived early due to time change from NYC to Cali. They have a shuttle bus from the airport, you will need to call them and they will pick you up. We rented a car. Lady at the front desk allowed us to check in an hour early wish was awesome.
Had a view of the pool/​jacuzzi wish was pretty sweet as well. Service was great. When I requested for the room to be clean they cleaned it every single day except one day which was to late for the request.
Staff was great ! They have a little snack area and breakfast as well. Is about 13 dollars but is a buffet runs from 6 – 11 am so I’ll go like three times at least lol since is a buffet. Parking is a little small, don’t get me wrong there’s plenty of parking but after 11pm parking is a b%+¥h. Overall it was a nice, lovely time spend in the hotel

I don’t normally rate hotels, I travel almost every week for work is it just gets to be too much… But the staff at this place really went above and beyond. I drive a fairly large truck around and these guys found me a place to park when their lot was full. They also set me up with a ladder to work on my vehicle. Very friendly and helpful.
The rooms here were standard Hilton Garden, so pretty nice. I also used the gym several times and it’s better than average for a hotel.

This place is great. I’ve stayed at most of the LAX hotels so I know :)
Excellent customer service, clean rooms, nice beds, quiet, convenient, and it has an outdoor pool!
Walk to Ralph’s, Starbucks, Mexican food, jersey subs, etc
The hotel has a shuttle. For free they will drop you off and pickup anywhere near, like airport, Whole Foods, Inn and Out Burger, etc

I never had a bad experience at this hotel until this stay and it disappoints me to write this review, but hopefully someone in management (above the housekeeping manager, whom was also part of the problem) will read this review and make some changes to housekeeping so it doesn’t happen again. I stayed here November 1 — 4, 2013 (Friday to Monday).
On Saturday, after spending all day out of the hotel, my parents and I came back to the room to find that all though they did make the beds and restock the towels, they left the dirty towels still on the floor in the bedroom. And what did I see on top of the pile of dirty towels? The note I left saying the money included is tip, crumpled and thrown on top of the dirty towels. True story!!! Had to call the front desk to send someone to come pick up the dirty towels.
You would think after being put on notice after our first full day with this hotel, the housekeeping would not make another mistake.
On Sunday, again after staying out of the hotel all day, we come back to the room to find that our room was not cleaned and made up at all. No towels restocked with the dirty towels still on the floor. And the beds still not made. But what the upset us was that the tip was missing. I know the tip was there on the table because I looked over the room one last time as I was standing in the door way to the room, and I was the last person leaving the room after my parents. Really, take the tip and not clean at all?!?
My parents and I grabbed our shopping bags and went back downstairs to complain to the front desk. On our way to the elevator we ran into one of the housekeeping employees and explained to her what happened, her response «Really? Are you sure?» My dad told her that we are going downstairs to wait and want our room cleaned right now. She said okay and went to go speak to another housekeeper, in spanish, and all I could make out was our room number. (I really should have brushed up on my spanish before visiting California).
We went downstairs and spoke to the front desk and explained what happened. The front desk’s response was, «Maybe the housekeeper went on break.» I asked her, «if the employee went on break, why was the tip missing then?» Her response, «I don’t have a response for that.» She then proceeded to tell us she would inform the housekeeping manager what happened.
While waiting in the lobby, I heard the front desk tell, whom I assumed was the housekeeping manager, what happened with us and pointed towards us. The whole time I was staring at the manager and front desk, the manager looked over at us, then went back into the back room and shut the door. No acknowledgement and apology from the manager. I did expect him to approach us and apologize for what happened and would talk to his staff. Instead, he coward way out of the situation and hid in a closed room.
As I checked out on Monday, the front desk (not the same employee that we complained to) asked if our stay was great. I briefly stated that there was some issues with housekeeping but I didn’t elaborate because I was upset about it and didn’t want to take it out on this employee (although I think she could tell I was not happy), She apologized, did acknowledge that a note was left regarding my stay in her computer, and hoped that the next time I stayed there it would be better.
After what happened with housekeeping, and how the housekeeping manager poorly handled the situation, I am contemplating whether I really should come back or not. If the company contacts me and apologize to make amends, it would guarantee having me be a repeat customer.
