Working alongside the Murad Medical Group which provides care from board-​certified dermatologists, MIHS uses «Clean Touch» sterile protocols for manicures and pedicures’ guaranteeing each service starts with a fresh set of tools that has been sterilized to hospital standards. MIHS proudly offers LED gel mani /​pedis, which are UV free, eliminating aging and skin damage risks.

The Murad Inclusive Health Spa is a revolutionary new incarnation of the spa concept that Dr. Murad helped pioneer in 1989 with his A Sense of Self spa. Just as A Sense of Self advanced the spa experience from a simple indulgence to an opportunity for meaningful treatment that improved the health and appearance of the skin, the Inclusive Health concept advances the spa experience from a source for skincare to a source for lifestyle programs that improve the health of every cell in the body.

Howard Murad. MD M.

Business Owner

Howard Murad, MD, FAAD, has devoted his life to helping make beautiful, healthy skin attainable for everyone. His unique formulas and inclusive approach to overall skin and body health have helped millions of people. He is a board-​certified dermatologist, trained pharmacist, and associate clinical professor of medicine (dermatology) at the Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA. In 1989 he founded Murad, Inc. to share his skin care formulas which may achieve significant measurable anti-​aging results without surgery. Dr. Murad continues his research and holds 19 patents for advances in the science of skin health. He also developed The Science of Cellular Water™, which looks at the ability of cell membranes to hold water as the fundamental marker of youthful good health and advocates an Inclusive Health approach to help the body create stronger, healthier cells as a pathway to beauty.

Soo full disclosure, I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect with this spa a friend of mine frequents it
I came in Friday for a detoxifying seaweed body wrap
The receptionists were great, showed me the locker room with the showers and sauna, and the waiting area, and explained to me how everything works
They had nice robes and sandals and extras towels, lotions and all sorts of amenities inside the locker room, and the waiting room had yummy teas, fruit infused water and fruit and nuts
I was blessed with Yoni, who was amazing and walked

The process it’s self was really nice and relaxing, I enjoyed it immensely I feel like I got a little bit of everything (massage detoxing and relaxing)
Aftewards I hit the sauna and shower and headed to the relaxation room and then I went

I really enjoyed the cleanliness and professionalism at this spa

Took me awhile to find the right person for me, but I did and I’m incredibly happy.
When it comes to skin care, Murad is the best.
It’s not an all day lounging experience like Burke Williams, but still a relaxing environment.

I just went and had my first ever facial here and was a bit nervous because it has been awhile since I had one. Susan gave me my facial today and all I can say is WOW! She did such an excellent job. She was gentle, informative, lovely bedside manner and made my face look and feel rejuvinated and vibrant. Give yourself the treat of this spa, but most of all give yourself the treat of SUSAN at Murad day spa.

Such an amazing experience as a first time customer. Walking in here I didn’t know what to expect. Almost looked like a store up front but the 3 lady’s behind the desk greeted me with a hello and made sure I was taken care of for my massage.
I was shortly taken back to the changing room where there was a compliment of literally every bathroom essential possible; from shaving essentials to hair gel. I was assigned my own locker and given a very nice robe and slippers. After getting ready, I was escorted to a waiting area where they provided delicious water with cucumber and lemon, coffee, tea, and even small snacks.
Yoni Lee was my massage therapist and was right on time looking very professional. She was so sweet and made sure to make me feel as relaxed as possible. The massage itself was amazing! She has miracle hands. The room was private and for the most part quiet from the surrounding noise. There was peaceful music and just overall a great atmosphere. I couldn’t be happier with the quality, experience, and knowledge she had with the body.
After an hour she escorted me out to the waiting area where she grabbed me a glass of water and even shared some stretching exercises to improve some of my weak areas.
Couldn’t be any happier!!! Such an amazing experience and I will definitely be coming back :)

I was so absolutely disappointed with Murad. I was given a $ 100 gift certificate and they refused to honor it because it was «old.» The only thing that they could do was credit back the person’s gift card… nice…it was a gift to me. It ended up being a 3 month ordeal and they ended up just charging me $ 100 on my own credit card! I will never go back and I will make sure to tell everyone I know, or anyone who’s interested in going, my horrible experience.

Loved this spa! Loved the small details like the selection of teas and trail mixed to the amenities like the awesome therapeutic copper bathtub I got to bath in in quiet, dimly lit solitude for 20 minutes before the massage even started! And my massage therapist, Amber, really knew what she was doing. As a massage therapist and O.T. myself, I really appreciated her expertise and ability to modulate when I needed more or less pressure. She started right in on the problem muscles I described to her and worked on them with thought and skill. A massage therapist who has the flexibility to address your stated issues and not just perform her routine treatment is hard to find, in my opinion. Two thumbs up!

For a facial in a quick pinch this works. I happen to like the products and be in the area having a 50 minute service available.
It was a little bit noisy and just not up to or. While the job got done I didn’t feel like I got enough exfoliation. Plus the racialist left the room during my mask.
If I’m in a pinch this place works. My skin is better but not great like after other facials.

The best pedicure of my life!!! The Murad staff is so friendly and helpful and my pedicure by Van was absolute luxury! I was wearing jeans and they provided me with a wrap so I could get the full experience! It started with a soak in a freshly sanitized jacuzzi spa chair. A heated neck pillow offered aroma therapy and relaxation. During the relaxing treatment, my legs and feet were scrubbed with a sea salt mixture and then soaked in parrafin wax. My legs and feet have never felt smoother or more moisturizer. Van is a true perfectionist and the polish was applied with the utmost detail. I will absolutely go back!

I have had several massages and facials at Murad over the last few years and they have all been excellent. Rosa, who provided my facials is a loving person with gentle hands, always making you feel beautiful. Glenda has a perfect touch and makes your body feel wonderful. I was treated to a two hour massage with Silvia last week, and it was phenomenal, all great experiences. Thank you Murad.

Susan is amazing! She gives me the best facial! Susan is professional and recommends the perfect facial and products every visit. My skin has improved tremendously! I have very sensitive skin and Susan always makes me feel very relaxed and confident that her recommendation will improve my skin concerns and for 6 months she has done an amazing job. So grateful and love Murad products.
Marla spoils my nails! Never seen someone paint nails so perfectly. Beautiful job and really respects her clients time.

Out-​Of-​Towners Beware !! Bait and Switch Scam !!
Several days prior to a trip to Los Angeles I booked a one-​hour massage for Sunday with Yoni for my girlfriend after speaking with a representative from Murad. I was informed that Yoni would be the masseur for my girlfriend.
The Saturday day before, I received a call from Elizabeth, asking if I would be willing to move the appointment one hour before or one hour after the scheduled time. They offered a $ 20 concession. My girlfriend selected an 11AM appointment.
We arrived about 15 min. late and were greeted by Elizabeth. I then proceeded to the closest restaurant where I waited. A little after noon my girlfriend came by and told me of her horrendous experience. Specifically she stated that the masseuse had to be told by her multiple times to stop being so forceful. Hearing this, I contacted Murad and spoke to the on-​site manager, Julie Dawson.
During our conversation, and to my surprise, Julie told me that the masseuse that I had booked did not perform the massage. When I informed her that I was never informed of that and, that would have resulted in canceling the appointment, she informed me that they taped all their calls and would be able to verify if or if I had not been told about the masseuse change. She informed me that a Director, Traci Paul, would be contacting me. That was more than five days ago.
Perhaps it was the fact that we are from San Francisco and do not frequent Murad in Los Angeles. Perhaps it was because they needed the revenue.
Either way, this is extremely poor customer service, the lack of follow-​through, promises made and not kept, and the possibility of bait and switch are reflective of a very poorly run organization.
We would never recommend Murad anyone. Again, beware of the bait and switch !!

I’ve been going to Murad for different services since 2006.
Parking: the garage is located beneath the building. I find it irritating that Murad only validates for the first 90 minutes (if I’m getting multiple pricey services, you’d think you could cover my parking).
Check-​in: friendly and peaceful waiting room. I love my cucumber/​citrus water while waiting for my appointment (they also have tea). In addition, you can peruse their products or other items (candles, etc).
Services I’ve tried:
AHA Rapid Exfoliator Anti-​Aging Facial: Hands down my favorite facial. This kept me coming back all these years. Its $ 115 for 50 minutes
Sun Undone Vitamin C Infusion Facial: my esthetician recommended this for me since I have to be out in the sun watching my daughter play soccer, but I didn’t think it was worth it. Prefer the AHA, since its the same price.
Manicure: They did a good job, but too expensive. $ 30
Pedicure: Same as above, but pedicure is $ 50.
Signature Massage: Have paid for massages for myself and husband and found them good, but never became attached to a masseuse. 50 minutes costs $ 90
I would go back, but 2 things happened: I moved too far away and my favorite esthetician, Tracy, left.

Emily is an injectable genius! She is very patient! She gives a thorough face analysis and is extremely detailed. She also has a gentle touch and makes you feel very comfortable. You can tell that she is passionate about making people look their best. If your thinking about any non-​invasive cosmetic procedures like botox, and fillers Emily is your girl!

When I received a call last week that Carly is no longer with Murad, I was bummed because I really liked her technique & professionalism. The receptionist suggested to reschedule to another date (which doesn’t make sense since my preferred esthetician is no longer with the company) or a different esthetician (she gave me a couple of names & I picked Susan).
I was running on a tight schedule & arrived 5-​minutes prior. Susan came out within a couple of minutes (a huge + in my book that I’m not delayed because that cuts into my paid time). :-)
I gave her a quickie spiel of why I had to stop my monthly facials & why I started again last month (dry, flaky winter skin issues). Susan did a thorough analysis (to make sure this is the best facial for my current needs) before starting the Sun Undone® Vitamin C Infusion Facial; she agreed with Carly’s assessment. A good esthetician should recommend a different method than your standard MO because your skin changes with age, sun exposure/​the elements, etc. Like Carly, Susan took care of the my skin issues & left me with dewy, glowing skin.
Under Susan’s proficient care, the extraction process was minimal in discomfort. Susan focused more on my face so there was less time on the mini-​massage, but still sufficient to remove the knots & kinks (she spent a couple more minutes at the end massaging my tight neck & shoulders). :-) I’m not sure if there’s muscle memory after a month, but I do notice a difference of techniques & time spent at various stages between Susan & Carly; nothing bad, just different.
Like my previous visit, Susan also provided a list of products used. I asked for a sample of the Perfecting Serum (my refill order is expected to arrive this week) to hold me over a couple of days. I’m not sure if this is standard protocol since I rarely receive a product list from previous appointments, or a sales push/​pitch. Is it because it’s a new facial [method that I haven’t experienced] or that I’m a new client of hers? In any case, she just gave me the list without asking if I wanted to make a purchase, which I would consider it as a sales push. I also felt «comfortable» with Susan & made a future appointment upon check-​out.
My skin has been relatively behaving during the last couple of days. I’m hoping with regular treatments that it’ll be normal again. I highly recommend Susan for your facial treatments. Sit back & relax… you’re definitely in good hands (pun intended). =)

I received a facial from another spa in Santa Monica more than a year ago and had a serious reaction to the service. Since then I have been afraid to go to another «health spa.» After asking around and seeking advice from locals who know the ins and outs of health spas, beauty, wellness, makeup, skincare, etc., I was told to go to Murad — that was more than 6 months ago. I finally got the courage to look them up online, call and ask questions and finally made an appointment to see if I could receive a great treatment for a great price — and help reduce redness.
When I arrived I was welcomed with a peppy, happy receptionist who offered me a warm towel right away, water, tea, or champagne and trail mix. I was escorted to the relaxation room to fill out my paper work and wait for my specialist. Rosa, my specialist, was on time and is incredibly friendly and warm. She inquired about my skin and was very methodical about the process. She saw my areas of concerns and immediately switched up the facial she was going to give me to meet the needs of my skin. She checked on my skin throughout the process and even had me look at it in the light with a mirror to make sure I was comfortable and and no reactions since my skin is SO sensitive.
My skin hasn’t looked this good in awhile and I had no reactions to any of the products. The redness is reduced significantly and the products Rosa recommended were very very reasonable.
I highly recommend Murad for their facials. I haven’t received any other services there yet but I am open to knowing they are a true health spa.

Alas, I’m no longer a spring chicken (sob) and I love soaking up the SoCal sunshine. double whammy. So even though Murad kinda breaks the bank, I let myself indulge more often.
I always get there early so I’m not a stressball upon arrival. I want to enjoy every moment of my high-​priced service. Would you like a glass of champagne while you wait? Yes please! …another glass? That’d be great! («waiting» is part of the fun ;)
I’m addicted to the Sun Undone Vitamin C facial. My skin has a healthy glow for weeks after. All the aestheticians are skilled, but Susan gives the best massages — much appreciated perk to fancy facials! Also, keep an eye out for annual discounts off services & products with the Murad Spa VIP promotion. I wouldn’t be a regular without it!
ps. Locker rooms are stocked with Murad products… slather on that body firming cream! keep it right, keep it tight!

I came here to get a facial and enjoyed the entire experience. Rita, a tall beautiful Russian lady, was my facialist and she was honestly wonderful. The entire facial experience felt very relaxing and pampering.
It was my first time at Murad and Rita made me feel very at ease from greeting me at the front desk/​lobby area to completing the facial. Before we walked to our room she asked if I wanted to use the restroom first… I thought that was very thoughtful because I was indeed thinking about «holding my pee» for the next hour or so because I didnt want to hold her up for bathroom. Thanks to her asking, I went and was able to truly relax for my facial.
During the facial, Rita gave me wonderful massages. She also gave me advice on skin care regiment. After the facial completed she asked what kind of refreshment I wanted. My facial appointment wrapped with a cup of hot Blueberry Acai tea.
Rita has worked at Murad for 12 years. So if you book with her, you are in great hands.
A lot of people mentioned about parking being annoying and costly because this place only validates for 90 minutes. Not wanting to worry about going over time and paying for costly parking, I parked across the street at Bristol Farm and crossed the intersection and walked straight into the building. It took 2 minutes and not at all confusing. Murad Spa is on the right hand side on the first floor right when you enter the building from the Rosecrans side.
Front desk crew — two ladies were there when I checked in. The one that checked me in was not friendly, unwelcoming, and I think ignored me when I tried to ask her a question. She honestly looked like she was not having a good day. The other receptionist, a black lady was very nice and had a welcoming smile.
To conclude, this place is very expensive… I saw a lot of older ladies here. They sure do know how to enjoy life! To save a few bucks, check Murad’s Facebook announcement for deals or check-​in on Unilocal.I got 10% off from Unilocal check-​in so that was nice.
Right now, they are having a special where if you bring a friend in, you and the friend will get 20% off. It never hurts to call and ask what promotions they are having.
