I used this vet years ago for a puppy I rescued, and really liked him. But, when I brought in my parent’s 14 year old dog this past July, I had a TERRIBLE experience that will prevent me from using this vet in the future. I think this office is suffering financially since I was charged over $ 500 in unnecessary procedures that I was bullied into/​not consulted about. Talking with other pet owners in the waiting area, they were experiencing the same thing.

I’ve been bringing my pets here forever, probably at least 25 years. The people here are friendly and helpful. Dr. VanPoucke is an interesting guy. You can tell he’s a pro but be sure to leave a little extra time for your visit, because he does like to talk. He always is sure to cover all the bases about your pet’s care and choices available to you, leaving no stone unturned. He’s also a very reasonable guy and knows I’m not made of money so he helps me find appropriate solutions for my pets problems. I think that is the best thing about this place. They have helped me with some of the very tough decisions a pet owner is faced with, never rushing me into anything and being very compassionate. Give them a try.
