Johnny Rockets

Food was average chain food store quality, but the service was… I understand it was a busy lunch time — but it was generally slow, the order was wrong, we got someone else’s check for the first time, and the number on the check was also wrong.

Was looking for something to eat and never ate at Johnny Rocket before so we went here, plus we were starving. The staff was really great and attentive, but the food was not good at all… plainly it sucked. I dont want to judge all Johnny Rockets off this place, but if its like this I will not be going again.
The soda was cool, but the burger was not cooked to its best, the onion rings were cold and heavily breaded. I cant really write more than that about this place because I literally wanted to leave right after we tasted the food.
I would not go here ever again and would not go back again. The only reason why they got 2 stars because they have really nice staff and attentive.
This place definitely needs an upgrade fast and quick.

I have been a patron of the Johnny Rockets chain for over two decades and this is the first time I have hated eating there. My family and I sat at the counter where we had an excellent view of the dirty kitchen floor, the mass of grease splattered counters, and dirty glasses that were being filled and served.
The service was horrible. Our waitress was MIA right after she took our order and we didn’t hear from her again until we were about to leave except for the time we watched her sneeze on her hand and wipe her nose on the back of it. Our buns and fries were served cold. My burger was incredibly greasy and my bacon cheese fries were served to me with burnt bacon twice. After speaking with the manager the first time, she had an attitude and I had to pay for the abominable fries. I will NEVER eat at this Johnny Rockets again!

For my first time in tis place, its not bad at all.
I have veggie burger the make at actually very good.
We have also 2 $ french-​fried with free refill!!!
And the price not bad…

La atención muy buena y la comida muy rica.
Hay varias opciones de hamburguesas. Se pueden pedir dobles e incluso hay rellenas.
Comí una hamburguesa con chedar y bacon muy rica. Abundante. Con papas que estaban ok y salsa ranch que hamo.
Probé también los aros de cebolla que me gustaron muchísimo y eso que no soy nada fan. Eran como bien crispy no sólo harina.
El precio promedio. Como el de otros lugares por el estilo (20 dólares por persona), aunque quizás porciones menos abundantes, pero repito que son buenas porciones.
El lugar no es muy lindo (la parte de atrás donde nos sentamos sobretodo). Se veía medio desordenado.

I’ve been to a few other Johnny Rockets so I’m familiar with the food, but it had been a while since I’d visited. We figured this place would be better than the food court options, but in hindsight, we should have gone somewhere else. Since we came on a Saturday, the wait was around 20 minutes. The food wasn’t great but wasn’t terrible either; it was edible. It also took a while for it to come. The service was seriously something else. We weren’t greeted by anyone; the manager (I think?) simply pointed us to our seats. No one handed us menus, and after about ten minutes of sitting without any acknowledgement by anyone, my brother finally got up and got menus for us. I consider myself a very generous tipper, and the service was so bad that I didn’t even want to leave one. Would definitely not recommend, and will not return.

Last time i checked, johnny rockets was supposed to have delicious food and a wonderful staff… However i found the complete opposite when me and two friends came here august 29^th. Unfortunately for us on the day, JR was our only option and we were disappointed.
* food/​service was mediocre at best. The food i ordered (bacon cheese burger, onion rings) i ordered was soggy and the bun covered the whole patty, the onion not even cooked, along with the french fries, tasted like plain potato. Deffinently not worth the 45 minute wait time to get my meal, a big slap in the face.
As for service, i really dont think our waiter wanted to be there at all. She barely acknowledged us, and didnt speak to us or in the slightest, crack a smile. At times the manager had to come check on us to see if we and other customers were alright but i dont think he even knew how to deal with the situation…
All in all, we should’ve kept hungry and ate some place else.

This was pretty much our only dining option at the mall. I REALLY wished we weren’t so hungry. The staff was GREAT, but GOSH did the food suck! Thinking this spot would trump the less demanding fast food options… FAIL!
Before I give yall the deets here, I must really admit the staff deserves 4 stars! They were helpful, attentive and funny as hell. That’s the good (service wise)!
The Good:
— Milkshakes are great. Thick enough to enjoy and not feel your exercising face muscles and lungs.
The Bad:
— Burgers not cooked to order.
— Fries and onion rings served cold.
— The kitchen simply didn’t understand instructions on toppings/​sauces to leave off!
The Ugly:
— I’ve heard so much dope things of this franchise and this location has left a bad taste in my mouth.
You’ve been warned. I’m hoping they had an off day while we dined there, but we won’t be able to tell as this was our first and last visit.

The burger was excellent as were the fries and ice cream float. What was very disturbing was the screaming loud volume of the music! While I like the music being played, it was so loud that we couldn’t hear each other talk. My husband couldn’t get out of there fast enough. At one point, it got even louder. Our waitress, who never smiled by the way, wasn’t anywhere in sight for us to ask her to lower the sound. It was more annoying than pleasurable. The wait staff doesn’t dance anymore like they were known for, nor did they give us a nickel for the jukebox. (Long time customer, but probably not any more).

I’m amazed at the lack of customer service that the Asst. manager Sheanna provided after we ordered and paid for our food. We were told we needed to go back outside and stand in line if we wanted a table. I DO NOT recommend patronizing this restaurant and will call the corporate office at the top of the business week.

Ist né kleine Kette von Dinern die man überall in Amerika findet, mittlerweile auch ein paar im Ausland wie Dubai zum Beispiel.
Im typischen Stil eines Diners von damals eingerichtet, sitzt man hier bequem während man dem Treiben in der Mall zuschauen kann.
Unsere Bedienung war sehr nett und unsere Getränke kamen sehr schnell. Unsere Vorspeise war auch schnell auf dem Tisch, die Burger haben nicht lange gebraucht bis wir herzhaft rein beißen konnten. War mein erster Burger im Johnny Rockets und ich war begeistert, echt lecker. Ich hatte mir einen zusammen gestellt nach meinem Wunsch, war für die gar kein Problem.
Zwischendurch wurde noch gesungen und getanzt, hat uns gut gefallen dort. Absolute Empfehlung wenn man schon mal in dem Einkaufszentrum ist.

Considering the subpar choices for dining at The Mills, my friend and I decided to stop by Johnny Rockets, assuming that it would be our best bet for good food. Even for a late lunch, at just past two, we had a relatively long wait for a table. When we finally did get a table, I noticed immediately how dirty the place seemed. The surrounding area of our table was littered with food scraps on the floor and was messy overall.
The service is extremely lacking and that’s an understatement. Long after our food came, my side order of fries were still not delivered. When I finally managed to flag down the waiter to tell him that I no longer wanted the fries, he claimed that he couldn’t take if off our bill as they were already making the fries (yes, quite the laughable reason). For our drinks, we never managed to get refills as our waiter was proficient at his disappearance act, showing up only to deliver our bill at the end.
For those shopping at the mall, I’d highly recommend avoiding this place unless you’re in the mood for spending money on mediocre food and nonexistent service, complemented by a dirty dining environment.

Meh. The 3 stars are only there because the food was decently good. I really like the onion rings. Look, I know everyone works hard and has alot on their plate to serve but it really stinks when your waiter doesn’t come to you, especially when you are starving. :(
We ordered Strawberry shake, fries and onion ring in that order before we ordered our burgers. Ten minutes, no food. :(
He didn’t even ask us how is everything so I just called him over and reminded him about the fried goodies. It came in 5 minutes since he remembered.
Shake never came. Twenty minutes in I reminded him of my friend’s shake… What does he do? He brings it and says, sorry about that, the machine was broken.
Dammmmmn you think we that stupid? Come on now.
Sigh.

This seems to be the only restaurant/​food place in Jersey Gardens that has good and legit food. Every time my boyfriend and I eat the food from the food court at JG we always have a stomachache afterwards, but we’ve tried the Johnny Rockets once before and no stomachaches or issues.
We came here for lunch with his mother and had to wait on line for 5 – 10 minutes. We got seated and was deciding on what to order. Our server was nice, but he didn’t seem very warm, friendly, or too attentive. Our drinks came and the wait for the food seem to have taken a long time.
I forgot what my boyfriend and his mom ordered, but I ordered the Route 66 burger with Swiss cheese and mushrooms. It was cooked just right. It was moist, juicy, and delicious. I also ordered the sweet potato fries which were crunchy, not too sweet, and fantastic. I could eat a million of these and not be tired of it at all.
After we finished our lunch it was hard to flag down our server since he was kind of MIA. Overall, the lunch and service at Johnny Rockets was good and decent. We will probably be back again when we’re at JG as it seems to be the only trustworthy eatery at JG.

The burger was pretty good. I got the chipotle burger that came with a ¹⁄₃ pound patty, bacon, lettuce, tomato, swiss?, and chipotle sauce. It was kinda oily, but its a burger. The main reason for taking away 1 star was the very, very, very long wait.

Some Johnny Rockets, such as the one in Hoboken, are pretty good. Unfortunately some are pretty mediocre, such as this one in the Jersey Gardens Outlet Mall aka The Outlet Collection.
I ordered a Route 66 burger with Swiss cheese and mushrooms. It took a long time to arrive and when it did, seemed like the heat lamp was on the platter for a long time. Overcooked, dry, crumbly. Same as the buns. The fries were also sitting for awhile. I needed a lot of water to get half of it down. Since the others in my party had started eating, I didn’t want to send it back and wait all over for a new one.
The redeeming star is for the waitress who was very nice even though my order took forever. This Johnny Rockets is a dud. I think I’ll stick to the food court next time.

Now I know what Johnny Rockets is all about.
Before I moved to Jersey, I wrote down the names of three burger chains I wanted to check out after hearing so much about them: Smashburger, Shake Shack, and Johnny Rockets. I thought Smashburger was good, but found the burgers and the fries to be incredibly oily. I haven’t been to Shake Shack yet. Burgers here greasy, but not as much as Smashburger.
I ordered the Grilled Chicken Patty Melt with Bacon and found it pretty tasty. The chipotle sauce they use is spicy but a little too salty. The unsalted fries were hot and fresh out of the fryer; they’re $ 2.29, but they’re bottomless fries. Their shakes looked pretty good, so I ordered a Chocolate Banana shake and loved how it wasn’t overly sweet.
I didn’t catch her name, but the waitress who watches over the counter seats was friendly. Food took a while to be served, and the line was ridiculous, but things went smoothly overall after my group was seated.

I expected Danny and Sandy ala Grease to come strolling in at any moment. This place reeks of that era, in a good way. From the linoleum on the floor to the jukebox on each table, including the way the seating has been arranged. Even the toilet made me pause and double check the date yes it’s 2014 (kidding???) Maybe)
We’re on a road trip so we got a quick snack of burgers and patty melt with a strawberry and a banana milkshakes. That’s all the meal we’ll need for a while as it was both tasty and filling.
I’m not a burger fan so not sure if I’ll seek them out. I definitely prefer seeing JR to that girl or that clown, whose «beef» pattie aren’t even real right?
Will our server was good, our experience was good.

Always happy with the food. Thought it took a bit too long for my order to make it to the table. Still an ok experience. Service was friendly. If I’m ever in the neighborhood again, I’ll give this place another go.

Their wings without sauce are amazing. Probably the best I’ve ever had. The burgers/​fries/​onion rings were ok. Service was quick and decent. Took off another star bc they charge for the lemon slice they put in my water! Who does that?

I’m so happy I found a Johnny Rocket! I’m so use to them being down south! Tasty turkey burger! Yummy in my tummy!
The staff is friendly and welcoming! Clean location and great shopping too! Fresh & good quality food! I will come again!!!

Not bad, Service lady was nice n friendly that’s always a plus. Food n price are decent. thought the onions rings would be like Sonics! Lol
