I hired Debbie to photograph my wedding on Halloween of 2015. She promised me 125 photos in two weeks and delivered 275 in one week and I couldn’t be happier! The photos are beautiful. She captured so many special moments. She was personable, professional and fun to work with. I had three previous photographers back out on me. I believe it was because we were meant to hire Debbie!

We are so very happy with our wedding photos that Debbie took! We have been admiring her food, restaurant and event shots for years on Facebook and when she offered to document our (modest) wedding, we were thrilled! For anyone who may be wondering, she shows up early, has great ideas, is super personable and is very flexible. My husband and I recommend her very highly. She is a true professional and also makes a charming dinner companion

DCP was hired by my previous employer to take photos of the Staff. Debbie was so natural and friendly she made me feel very comfortable. I didn’t think I was capable of taking a nice picture on demand but she really knows how to capture the perfect image. She turned a relatively awkward situation for me into a easy and fun time. I had been following her Facebook page ever since, I love seeing updates of her yummy culinary photo shoots, her beautiful scenic photos, and photos of individuals that capture their unique qualities, and personalities. So glad I had the opportunity to have her photograph me :)

I have known Debbie for a few years now and have admired her work for area restaurants and in local publications. We hired her to do some work for one of our own restaurants and could not have been happier. We have used her images, frequently. Debbie is particularly adept at capturing food and restaurants and the people and chefs in that industry, but I have also seen some of her more personal work and her portraits and they are all quite lovely. Debbie is talented and versatile. She is also incredibly friendly and professional, and I can recommend her services without reservation.

Debbie photographed my 10 yr anniversary and vow renewal party. I am always amazed by the people who can compose a photograph. I’ve taken photography classes and I can take technically correct photos all day long. What I can’t do is compose a photo like Debbie can. Stills, action shots, it doesn’t matter, they all come out great when Debbie photographs them. She’ll find out what you need for your session and customize it to give you what you want. I’ve also seen her commercial work and if you are needing high quality photos to promote your business, she’s your girl.

Debbie Cunningham does beautiful work and is a pleasure to work with. She has photographed food for our restaurant, café and catering company. Hiring Debbie has been a smart investment and I will be working with her again soon. I highly recommend her.

I can’t believe I didn’t think to write this review sooner. I’ve been working with Debbie for over a year now, and can’t say enough about how pleased I have been with her work. As the marketing director for two busy restaurants and a beef ranch, I have hired Debbie for multiple photography jobs. It goes without saying that her ability to capture food is superb. BUT I think we put her to the ultimate challenge when we asked her to photograph our beef… RAW. Yes, we needed catalog shots for our online store, and Debbie showed up with no fear. I really, honestly, never could have imagined that anyone could make raw meat look good (no matter how great it is!). But, of course, she came through for us as always, and took our website to the next level. Stock photography out the window!
In my opinion, there isn’t a better food photographer in Northern California. And, she also happens to photograph people, events, landscape, pets, etc. with an incredible eye. As a graphic designer, I can’t tell you how important it is to have photos that can be used in Print ads, web, facebook, brochures, posters, banners, etc. Debbie has come through without fail each time we’ve challenged her. And did I mention that she also happens to be a super cool and well connected person to work with? She knows a ton about the local restaurant scene, and has helped me more than once in connecting with other like-​minded folks in the industry.
My only fear in writing this is that word might get out, and it will be even harder to get her on our calendar!

Debbie is beyond an amazing photographer and absolutely a professional!
She was hired to do a photoshoot for a restaurant I used to work at. She did a great job of running the shoot (we are all obviously not professional models). Most of my friends and some family were in the shoot, and Debbie was beyond professional and made us all look … well AMAZING!
She specializes in food photography and has done shoots at many well known eateries in the greater Sacramento area and I am sure, beyond. I am thinking of hiring her for my family photo’s, but I only have dogs, so who knows if that is just dorky or not. I have attached some pics of the shoot. Save the applause for her, since she made me look GOOD!

Debbie has captured several of my important life moments ranging from special events in our wine tasting room at Old Sugar Mill to family photos of our week-​old baby girl and senior portraits of our other daughter. She has a special gift that I think is rare in a photographer. She captures a moment and emotion and makes it permanent without fancy editing. She understands natural lighting and rather than just snapping a bunch of shots and hoping to find a good one in the mass, she sees a moment and knows that is the one. She is professional, friendly and you will have your photos ready sooner than you would think. She really has exceeded all of my expectations and I am so grateful for the photos our family has because of her.

I utilized CL Cunningham’s services for a family portrait shoot when I had the opportunity to have my entire family in town. I let Debbie know what I was looking for and she suggested a few places. Once I made my decision on a place for the shoot she did her own shouting of the area and found some of the best places for a backdrop. Areas that I would have never thought would have such fabulous results! It truly is an art to be able to see something through a camera lens as Debbie does. I would utilize her services in a heartbeat and I follow her Facebook page to see all the terrific work she has done which gives me ideas for future photo shoots.
