Bob arrived on time for his estimate. I got 4 estimates, and he had the best price and lead time. His crew arrived on time, worked extremely fast, did professional work, and cleaned up after the job. Gateway built 113 ft. board-​on-​board redwood fence. 1×6×6 redwood fence boards, 3 2×4 rails, 2×6 pressure treated kicker.

I was looking to support a local Elk Grove company and came across Gateway Fence with great Unilocal reviews. We just needed 3 fence posts replaced. Bob and his team did a fantastic job. They even talked to our neighbor after coming across a problem on the neighbor’s side of the fence. They were on time, professional, and fixed our fence in no time. They also left the area cleaned up putting back the ground cover and rocks.

Gateway Fence installed our two side fences that were practically falling down. They were prompt on appointment day/​time and got the job done in one day. We are now needing to replace our back fence and they will be doing that as well. We are happy with their work and so are the neighbors who will be using them to install new fencing in other parts of their yards. We would recommend that you call and get Bob (the owner) to come out and give you an estimate. He breaks down the costs for you that would be split with your neighbors. I always like to use local businesses when I have a need. Bob gave me a very reasonable estimate to replace 1 long section of fence with a gate, and another section that was a regular gate with an RV Gate. I went with their board over board fence which last time I have fence work done (by another company) was never presented to us as an option. I’m so glad I went with it. It is more private so it’s not see thru and it has a topper on top of it so it and is much more sturdy. The RV gate section was very tricky for them as it was on a slope. We had just one long gate which had put too much pressure on the posts. They put in metal posts and made the one gate a 2 door swing open gate that is much more sturdy and secure. I am very impressed with the workmanship they did, they cleaned up their mess very well and the materials they used (such as hinges, latches etc) are of very high quality. I highly recommend them for any fence work you need. Thank you Bob!

Bob replaced ¾ of our backyard fence that was in utter disrepair. He also installed a new gate for us. Bob provided us with a quote which included a breakdown of cost of each portion of the project, and split costs for neighbors. This helped us start the conversation with our neighbors about sharing costs. One side was a good neighbor fence.
He and his team did beautiful work. We had a 5 foot fence before for some reason and could see into our neighbor’s yard and they into ours. Definitely improved our quality of life – now that we have more privacy because we have the standard 6 foot tall fence!
Will work with Gateway Fence Company again soon when we figure out what we want in our front yard.

The owner Bob is outstanding… his company offers traditional quality, craftsmanship and customer service. His crew arrived on time, made great progress, finished at the time he estimated, created a real quality product, asked questions when they wanted to know how we wanted certain features of the fence, cleaned up well and were very attentive and courteous.
I will have him back to do more work this summer…

Called to get an estimate for a gate to be placed in my new home in Roseville and I was told it would be several weeks before they could even come out for the estimate and that they really don’t do much work in Roseville and I may want to try someone else. Then don’t list Roseville on your website. Glad you’re doing so well you can blow off a potential customer.

Bob is great to interact with and Jeff really knows his stuff. Gateway Fence Co. worked with us for a custom design fence for the front entrance area of our house. Very affordable (hundreds of $$$ less than our 3 other estimates), very high quality (did exactly what we wanted and worked with our annoying pictures and drawings patiently), and very fast (less than a day). I have no problem reffing them to my friends and family, in fact I have.

Our fence blew over during a wind storm a few weeks ago. I called three «fence guys» and only got two calls back. Bob was the first to respond. He looked at my fence and emailed a quote that night. Extremely professional.
Bob showed up at the time he promised, ripped out the old fence, drilled new holes for posts (fighting with my rose bushes, sorry Bob) and had the new fence up, added a gate for the neighbors side and repaired our gate all before 1:00 pm. AND he put up with my 3 year old who took quite a shine to him (Just as an aside, my daughter doesn’t talk to very many men including her uncles and her adult male cousin but for some reason she felt very comfortable with Bob. She showed him her painted nails, told him EVERYTHING about her friends at school and scored a block of wood. Poor Bob couldn’t shake her.)
Bob was very professional and very accommodating. As soon as we get the neighbor on the other side on board, I will be calling Bob back to replace the rest of our fence. I highly recommend Gateway Fence Co.
