Welcome to Elm Grove Art, an art studio started by Katy Oberst (Miss Katy) and Danielle Heckenkamp (Ooh La La), friends and business partners who decided it was time to create a fun, attractive atmosphere where people can let loose and bring out their creative edge.

Miss Katy is the creative genius behind Elm Grove Art. Her love of life is shown to customers through the fun artistic atmosphere at the studio. Had a lot of fun last night at Elm Grove art. The host was excellent and very helpful in showing us how to paint a picture. The evening was fun and relaxing. When I brought my finished product home my son couldn’t believe I could paint something like that. A very nice compliment. I would highly recommend.

Our Brownie troop just completed a fantastic class/​event at Elm Grove Art. The girls in the troop participated in a carefully crafted two hour painting session to earn their official painting badge. Ms. Katy, co-​owner, was an excellent host, teacher, and guide for this group of lively and creative 3rd graders. She made all involved feel welcome and talented. The girls could not have been more thrilled with the built in candy break and pop music playing in the background. While there are many group art type places cropping up in the greater Milwaukee area, Elm Grove Art, is by far my favorite and most welcoming for kids and families. I highly recommend that any and all Girl Scout Troops consider planning an event here. It is well worth the money and Ms. Katy and her partner are clearly interested in working with you to tailor it to your needs and interests. Thank you for a great event. We will be back!!!

Had a great afternoon at Elm Grove Art, on 10/​03/​2015, with our group, learning how to paint, with the help of Katie. She was AWESOME! Some of us chose different paintings, than the three that we were to pick from, and Katie was more than accommodating to us, as well. Before the class even began, I had told her that I couldn’t even draw a circle! So, she was a HUGE help to me! I am very grateful to Katie, for her extra attention, to my painting. I am soooooo glad that I decided to go, as at first, I was hesitant, because I knew that I didn’t have any artistic ability. Thanks to my wonderful mother-​in-​law, Nancy, for inviting me.

I went to ladies’ night out last night at Elm Grove Art, and it was a really great night! The space and staff were SUPER welcoming, and made sure their guests were well taken care of. We got to snack on sweets, and had the option of ordering beer/​wine. When it was time to paint, we all sat down and got to listen to Katy instruct. She was funny and interactive, which made everyone feel comfortable. People with little to no experience in art had a blast, and those with more experience could still have individuality and creativity to make something cool. They do kids’ birthday parties and a ton more, so I’m sure I’ll find another reason to head back!

We brought our Daisy troop to this art studio and we were so impressed! Katy led the girls through 3 art projects in an easy to follow, fun atmosphere. Our girls were so proud of their creations! We came back a few nights later for a mom’s night out and it was just a perfect night. Katy is a wonderful hostess and instructor. She has so many ideas that you will never be at a loss for what to create. This would also be a marvelous space to host a party in. Check it out soon!
