History

Established in 2009.

Dr. Irineo Marvin Pantangco, III — Dr. Marvin — is a holistic dentist with a passion for a natural approach to dental care. He has spent countless hours educating himself and his patients on the most effective, holistic dentistry available.

For years Dr. Marvin treated patients using traditional dental techniques.

However, not until Dr. Marvin himself became holistic did he realize and understand a more holistic approach to dentistry and wellness in general.

In 2008, Dr. Marvin looked for a dentist who provided the type of services he desired… safe mercury removal, aggressive non-​invasive, non-​pharmaceutical gum therapies, and use of biocompatible dental materials. To his dismay, he did not find any to his liking.

In January 2009, the Center For Natural Dentistry opened to provide health-​conscious individuals with holistic, biological dentistry. Today Dr. Marvin has teamed up with Dr. Stacy Godes to offer expanded services to anyone looking for a healthier dental option.

Dr. Irineo Marvin Pantangco, III — Dr. Marvin — is a holistic dentist with a passion for a natural approach to dental care. He has spent countless hours educating himself and his patients on the most effective, holistic dentistry available.

Dr. Marvin participates in numerous organizations designed to spread the word on basic nutrition, mercury awareness, gum disease awareness, and whole-​body dentistry.

Dr. Marvin has spent years of his life exploring the links between gum disease and systemic disease and, consequently, developing natural solutions to the real demands of oral hygiene and dental health.

I went to see Dr. Marvin for a consultation, It was a dental visit unlike any other!
This office was so elaborately designed and lavishly decorated – upon entering, I thought I was in Las Vegas. The receptionist seemed new and nervous, and after checking in I was greeted by an X-​ray technician who asked if I knew who «Dr. Marvin» was and went on to rave about the amazing doctor I was about to meet. I was seated in a very fancy dental chair, and I couldn’t help but noticed the Apple computers and pricey sinks and décor surrounding me. Dr. Marvin entered the room, briefly looked at my information, and then started his sales pitch. He scanned my entire body with his bare hands like a magician then said my orthodontist did a crappy job and therefore my entire body was misaligned. He advised me to throw away my retainers and let my teeth go back to their natural places. Yes, that means let them be crooked. He then proceeded to recommend me to his friend, a ND for NeuroCranial Restructuring to do a manipulation of the sphenoid bone. This recommendation would be a very painful procedure in which balloons are inserted inside nostrils and inflated and the patient hears a crunching sound as the sphenoid bone is adjusted. The basic procedure would cost a minimum of $ 10,000! After that, I would go to see his other friend, a chiropractor kinesiologist, for an adjustment before I could see Dr. Marvin again. The chiropractor would charge only $ 180, a special price for his patients. His proposed plan also included a Bite Guard for $ 480 and a Rota-​Dent Plus Electric toothbrush for $ 350!
The whole experience was a nightmare for me; I saw through the well-​designed and orchestrated marketing scheme. There were books on the coffee table in the waiting room about our toxic world, handouts about breast cancer and root canals, videos playing from YouTube with time-​sensitive specials and offerings, patient reviews that looked like ads, the nervous receptionist, and his network of «healers.» I had decided before I left the office that I would never go back, yet numerous phone calls ensued in attempt to lure me back for treatments. I felt like I was coerced with pseudoscience and presented with scare tactics the entire time!!!

I have known about mercury toxicity for a few years now and wanted to get the procedure done but didn’t know where to start. One day, I was doing research and saw that we had a holistic dentist right in my own backyard! I signed up for their newsletters, watched Dr. Marvin’s videos and listened to his mp3s. Again, it was put on the back burner until one day, I received an email regarding a promotion for a free initial exam with x-​rays. I jumped on the opportunity.
When I made my visit, it wasn’t anything like the traditional dentist’s office. It was very zen and calming. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Just from the exam alone, I learned a lot about root canals and mercury fillings and the effects it had not only within the mouth, but the entire body.
I had my first procedure today (2 extractions where I had the root canals). It was faster than I had expected. Maybe because Dr. Marvin wasn’t switching back and forth to other rooms/​patients which was very nice. It’s not like I want to stay at the dentist for long hours at a time. Lol. He got me in and out of there. Every time I am there, I learn something new. This time I learned about blood spinning and taking that plasma to place back into my mouth (to promote faster healing). I love that it comes from my body and is not something foreign that may cause side effects.
I have never been so excited about getting dental procedures done until now. My next visit, I will get the mercury removed (finally!) I would recommend Dr. Marvin for anyone who is serious about their health. This is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made regarding my overall health and well-​being. Thank you!!! xo

Went to see Dr. Marvin this week for and exam and x-​rays and I was very impressed with this office. The staff is friendly and competent. Dr. Marvin’s approach is holistic and he works to get to the cause of your teeth/​gum issues rather than to mask or try and get rid of the symptoms. I live a holistic lifestyle so his philosophy was congruent with mine. If you are looking for a dentist who thinks outside the box and cares about your teeth and body’s future health, then go see Dr. Marvin.

Because Dr. Pantangco had no availability for about a month, Dr. Godes was able to see us within a week of our initial phone call. I was incredibly impressed with her knowledge of our particular issue and her willingness to share resources outside of her field. We met with her for at least 30 minutes and during that time, she never looked at her watch once. She was completely engaged, asked a lot of good questions and listened without interruption to our answers. I came away with an action plan — and nothing on my list involved further services from her office. Dr. Godes went out of her way to say, «I’m not sure a dental solution at this time makes any sense.» I am very grateful for the knowledge and expertise shared with us. I highly recommend Dr. Godes.

I saw Dr. Godes who is the secondary dentist there. She is ok. Nothing spectacular. The worst part of this office is how they run their practice. I signed up over the phone and pre-​paid for a facebook «deal» on June 6th, while making an appointment for myself and family members at the end of August. They rescheduled me twice and my husband has to be rescheduled a third time as of today. My husband has yet to be seen and has a pressing issue with his tooth. Not only that but they refuse to schedule all of us on the same day. When I go to a dentist, usually the dentist does a cleaning, an exam and xrays. My son has been seen, paid the same price as the rest of us and didn’t get xrays, nor did he get a discount for no xrays. They didn’t do a cleaning and looked in his mouth for a total of two minutes. My daughter got seen, got no xrays, no cleaning and was seen for maybe a total of 10 minutes including their «ozone» treatment — of which the secretary refused to give me a receipt for my insurance. Did I mention they don’t take ANY insurance? Not even PPO. Finally, tomorrow Tuesday October 16th was supposed to be my husband’s appointment after the second reschedule. They text messaged him on Saturday asking him to confirm his appointment and said the appointment was on Monday the 15th. He confirmed assuming they would have the date right and not checking his calendar — yes a novice move… Well today they called and said he missed his appointment and he needed to reschedule. With their calendar that will put us out another month, despite the fact that they told me his appointment was the 16th. They do not leave any leeway for the dentists getting sick or having changes. Their office is poorly managed, which is such a disappointment since it appears that Dr. Marvin knows a lot about dentistry. Sadly we never got to see him anyway and probably never will. 4.5 months is too long to wait for a dentist appointment.

I was recently referred to Dr. Marvin and I wish I had gone to see him sooner. Dr. Marvin and his staff are amazing! I have so many allergies that I have 2 medical alert ID tag bracelets with 5 lines engraved on the back of each tag. Usually going to the dentist is not something I look forward to because of all the chemicals typically used I end up having a severe allergic reaction. This is the first dentist I have ever met that has a natural approach to dentistry and truly treats the root cause of your dental issues to improve your overall health. Dr. Marvin goes above-​and-​beyond to ensure that he and his staff are doing everything they can for you and your health. They treat you like family and I would recommend anyone who has lots of allergies or is hesitant to go to the dentist to see Dr. Marvin.

— Receptionist can’t answer questions very well and has this look on her face that if she says too much, she’ll be…
— Overpriced compared to other holistic dentist. For example, a lot for a consultation (tomography x-​ray and exam).
— Some procedures aren’t lumped into one price; they have multi-​charges. (Mercury removal protocol, filling, ozone insufflation, etc.)
— Consultation exam felt as if they were employing pseudoscience, marketing schemes, and up-​selling.
— The office has no hygienist so the dentists have to do cleanings and procedures; so it might be more difficult to squeeze in an appointment.

I have worked hard to cleanse my body of toxins and repair my state of well being through natural means, and it is important for me to maintain a level of health and awareness that normal dentistry does not even take into consideration. Dr. Martin’s service is by far the most conscientious and health minded. The staff is supportative and kind which lends to the comfortable atmosphere. The up-​to-​date technology and use of muscle testing made my experience at the dentist almost pleasant. (It is still the dentist!) Worth every penny… go there!

I hadn’t been to the dentist in a long time, after some bad experiences, so I was nervous to go back. Dr. Marvin and his entire staff have been wonderful and made my fears go away! I had my mercury fillings removed and my mouth is on it’s way to healthy. I am so happy that I chose Dr. Marvin’s practice. I would highly recommend this office to everyone-it’s like no other dental practice!!!
