Global Grind specializes in locally sourced coffee, teas and goodies. GG prides itself on quality products and building strong relationships with our community. GG have organic coffee and espresso as well as quality loose teas. Global Grind is a friendly coffee cart that will serve a mean Janis Joplin, that will make you scream. GG offers organic cocoa, hand mixed with sugar in the raw for hand whisked mocha or hot chocolate! We love the planet and try to lead by example daily. We compost all our coffee grounds, tea and banana peels!

GG offers a hefty quarter discount if you bring your own mug, save a tree and a quarter, we DARE YOU! Fresh local pastries = no preservatives.

History

Established in 2009.

Hand built with reclaimed materials, by Danielle’s brother in Oregon with love, Global Grind was born. Fed up with the financial industry, Danielle wrote a business plan and submitted a bid to the City, too much surprise they accepted and the Sbrega’s were off and running. Sourcing local ingredients and eco business practices, Global Grind is a community meeting place in front of The Encinitas Library, nestled above coastal Encinitas with an ocean view.

Oh, how I love this coffee cart. I drop in before my weekly library trip with my kids, and the owner and her staff always brighten my day. They have a great selection of tea (I’m a tea drinker), and a WONDERFUL assortment of gluten-​free snacks. No other coffee or tea café can match these GF offerings! Danielle, the owner, truly cares about her community, and her business is the epitome of what I adore about Encinitas: casual, conscious and full of good vibes. Skip Starbucks, and visit this local gem instead.

Finally taking the time to give this coffee stand it’s much deserved 5 stars. I’ve tried just about everything on the menu. The staff is always friendly. They have nonfat milk which is pretty nice since other small coffee shops sometimes to not have any. I like that they always ask if I want whip cream on top of my blended drinks since I always order them with nonfat milk. They are also pretty great with giving me just a tad of whip cream when I yes.
Their coffee is pretty amazing, I drive up from PB just to have it. It’s that good. My favorite drinks are the frozen turtle, blended mocha and Lance Cooley. Stop by if you’re in the area you won’t regret it.

Located right in front of the Encinitas Library, this coffee cart rocks for several reasons: über fabulous service, scrumptious pastries made that morning by local bakers, and a surprisingly huge menu of drinks (coffee, tea and smoothies) and other snacks.
They have raw kale chips, protein bars and fruit based snack bars if you’re looking for something on the more nutritious side!
You’re allowed to bring your drinks into the library, which is awesome… so you have something delightful to slurp down whilst clacking away on your laptop or burying your nose in a great new book.
Otherwise, you can sit outside in the front of the library, or head through the library to the gigantic back patio with ocean views.

This is a fabulous little coffee cart next to the Encinitas library. It is perfect for enjoying a beverage at the library or sitting out front. Since I have a toddler, I like to get a cup of coffee and take it to the adjacent park. That way I get to enjoy my morning beverage while my son plays on the playground. Good products in a great location with friendly staff.

I needed a quick boost to get me back up to LA, so a quick Unilocal search brought me here. Yes! High five fellow Unilocalers!
They carry a bunch of flavors along with a smooth regular brew. Grabbed a cup before getting back on the road and it was exactly what I was looking for!
They have muffins and breads as well as little small items like chips and candy. There seems to be a few more things, but I was in a hurry and they were about too shut down.
This cute coffee cart is located right outside the Encinitas library. Perfect location for a coffee cart!

Love this place! They have several unique coffee creations and I’m always left guessing which new local food/​drinks they will be offering. Being located outside the beautiful Encinitas library doesn’t hurt either! Check out a book and enjoy your mocha while overlooking the ocean… sip sip awwww

I am a fan of this little locally owned coffee cart outside my favorite library. they have a large variety of drinks to choose from (not just coffee) and snacks as well. They have a rewards program where you buy 10 drinks and you get one free. The staff is always friendly and cheerful. The libraray lets you take your coffee inside and has free wifi and an awesome view at the back.
Down sides: some drinks take a while to make and there is typically only one person making the drink and running the register, so if there is a line be ready for a good wait. Also their prices aren’t expensive… but they are definatly not cheap. I consider them reasonable since the coffee is good, but others might find them to be a bit high.
FYI: If you have exact cash and only want a snak you can grab you stuff and pass the cash with no waiting, not sure many people realize this.

This place is awesome! Try my signature drink the caramel banana nicky! I also like the mexi-​mocha. I’m usually here on Thursdays. I’ve also had the smoothies and they’re really good too.
