Lennie Noordhoorn Gee

This attorney is a superstar — she is smart, experienced and not afraid to fight for what is right and what she believes in.
She took a very difficult case for me and my children that spanned the military courts, multiple states and many months of inconsolable aggravation by the other attorney. She stayed true and honest, presented the best and possible case on my behalf and I couldn’t expect any more from her when she stood up and fought again.
I recommend her to everyone who asks, even a few who don’t. If you want cheap and inexpensive in any divorce/​custody attorney well you get what you pay for and Lennie is not that attorney.
She fights hard, she fights for you as a client and she is truly a one-​of-​a-​kind attorney.

It’s unfortunate that there is not a zero stars option on Unilocal.
In my experience, avoid Lennie at all costs as she seemed to be all that you hope not to get when choosing a lawyer. I felt that she was unprepared (not only for court, but for meetings) has incredibly poor communication skills, and is potentially dishonest (get everything in writing!). If not dishonest, Lennie is, at best, forgetful of promises she makes. Additionally, while it may be legal, I wouldn’t consider it ethical to raise one’s rates nearly 15% in the middle of a legal proceeding, which happened to us.
My gf and I were recommended to Lennie by a lawyer that I had used in the past. Going into this there was one goal, which was to increase my gf’s custodial time with her son after her ex threatened to do the same. My gf was ADAMANT that she was only concerned with her son and was not looking for ANY money, but Lennie felt that my gf was entitled to alimony arrears and an agreement was made (or so we thought) that there would be no charge for going after those arrears unless Lennie was successful. No risk, right? Unfortunately the deal seems to have changed and the expenses racked up. Lennie even seemed to suggest that the increase in child support should be used to pay her exorbitant fees.
Fortunately, in the end the goal was achieved, based entirely on the incredibly poor choices made by my gf’s ex and not anything or anybody else.
It’s difficult to know someone else’s motives, but as I look back at my experience I see several occasions when I question whether or not Lennie did things that were in her best interests alone.

Lennie is extremely knowledgable and always returns and takes your calls right away. She has helped us numerous times and has always explained everything very thoroughly so we understand exactly what we are looking at. I would highly recommend her and her staff. Very professional, easy to talk to and there when you need them. Thanks for all the help over the years Lennie!!!

I have been employed in the Legal industry for over 25 yrs and Ms. Gee
was recommended to me when I needed to end my 24 yr marriage.
One year and $ 35,000 later, I am STILL not legally divorced (in what
should have been a simple, and IS an uncontested divorce with no child
custody issues), and was given not only bad legal advice and over billed, but
my credit card was charged for legal fees AFTER I told Ms. Gee’s office to do no further work on my case, and that I disputed her latest bill and I absolutely forbid her office to charge anything further to my credit card. I had to dispute the charge with my bank AND cancel the card.
This is completely UNETHICAL and what I consider fraudulent.
I am now having to file a formal complaint with the State Bar Assoc. and will pursue a malpractice claim, in addition to needing to start the whole divorce process over with someone else.
Avoid this attorney at all costs.
